@adlightest if cpaa assessed your education and skills to be qualified as a general accountant, then you are. As long as you meet the points for migration, you can migrate to OZ, ph cpa or not. Goodluck.

@aglightest when did you have your assessment? If you met all the competency requirements for migration then your good to migrate.

@aglightest medyo naguluhan lang po ako dun sa part na "nakuha ko naman lahat ng units maliban lang sa score sa IELTS" ang ibig sabihin po ba nito is hindi mo nakuha ang desired score mo sa IELTS (which I suppose is you are aiming to get the 20 points)?

Kasi if positive and CPAA assessment mo, I'm sure nakuha mo yung required score nila sa IELTS which is at least 7.0 in all bands.

@pink that is why I ask @aglightest when was the assessment made. Kasi dati pede ka mag pa assess without English test result. Recently they changed their procedure and require all applicants to have English test result before they can start assessment. eto yung nalala ko dati ha. I could be wrong, maybe he has a different case.

Hi Everyone,

I am starting my application for the 189 PR visa under Accountant General SOL. I actually consulted a migration agent but still thinking if I will push through since it cost around Php150,000 for Prof Fee (pang bayad na ng visa na 3,600 AUD).

Does it seems practical to have self application instead of migration agent? Would it be same procedure?

@iamkcgm complicated ba ang case mo? kasi kung hindi naman, madami ka pwede pagtanungan dito sa forum na nag DIY lang. I used to be with an agent pero nung pumalpak sila sa simple case, nag decide ako na ako na lang mag ayos ng PR. Tama ka, sayang ang 3,600 aud.

Hello Everyone,

I've been reading this forum for awhile.
I'm planning to apply for visa 189 or 190. I'm 22 years old pa lang po ako and graduated and become CPA last 2015 and currently working sa isa sa big4 here in the Phil. Mag-1 year pa lang po ako sa December.
Magpapaassess po ako sa CPAA as general accountant. Medyo complete na po yung requirements ko. May syllabi na po akong nakuha and currently reviewing para makakuha ng mataas sa IELTS.
Pwede po bang manghingi ng course mapping? and advise kung saan ko po iapapaCTC yung mga diploma, cpa certificate, cpa transcript and picpa membership?

@ginelgomez pm me your email para masend ko sayo yung sample subject mapping ko. Diploma and TOR should be CTC'd by the school. Yung CPA certificate and PICPA certification di ko na pina CTC kasi pede na colored copies naman.

I think di naman sia ganun ka complicated as per assessment nila. I just realized kase I'l be doing everything except sa filing which they will do. If I can seek advises naman pla from here, feeling ko kaya naman ng DIY.

@pink @batman This August lang po ako nag pa assess sa CPAA, naka pag IELTS na din po ako despite not able to meet the minimum bandscore na 7 in all areas (L, R, W, S) tinuloy ko pa din yung assessment (no harm in trying, just a dent on my pocket)

In summary, kaya po ako not suitable dahil po sa IELTS result ko. At this point, I am willing to take another shot at IELTS and secure that band score of 7. When I do, definitely magiging positive na po lahat ang assessment sa akin ng CPAA.

First question now is meron po ba akong fighting chance to get through the bridge and land in OZ kahit na hindi ako CPA? Secondly, nasa section 2 ang school ko which is another complication for my case. Kasi po sayang naman po pag kumuha ako ng IELTS and then midway down the process malalaman ko na wala din palang chance so sayang naman din yung invested time and effort. As you are all aware it is a very stressful condition to be in this whole migration process.

@aglightest as you have said English proficiency lang ang kulang mo, to be suitable for migration. So don't worry with the section 2 school and CPA board passing.

@aglightest Communicate with CPAA confirm it from them para official na English proficiency na lang ang kulang mo and start working on your English test. Take PTE-A easier to get your desired score.

@aglightest agree with @batman school section won't matter and as long as you get the positive assessment from CPAA. And maybe, you would want to try PTE instead of IELTS. Just read through this thread, it might help you.

@batman actually sir na brought up ko na din po sa kanila yan, na confirm na din nila na hindi successful yung assessment sa akin dahil di ko daw na-satisfied yung english requirement, i'll be working on that asap. thank you din for providing me lead sa PTE-A, will look into it as well.

@pink mas madali po ba kung through email na lang? or mas better kung ipapadala po mismo sa CPAA yung mga docs?
Nababasa ko po yung about sa employment assessment. Para po yun sa application for visa 189 diba? kailangan ko pa po bang magganon since hindi din naman ako magkakaroon ng points since super konti lang ng years of experience ko. hehe.

Hello! Question naman, has anyone gotten a positive educational assessment pero hindi favorable yung skilled employment assessment? I just received my result today, ok sa education and ielts pero yung job details daw does not equate with skilled profession in accountancy. Sa CPAA ako nagpaassess,do you guys know what I can do next to move forward with the migration?

Yes, employment assessment is applicable if you will claim points for your work experience. I think hindi mo na need kasi di ka parin naman magququalify to claim points if less than 1 year ka pa lang sa work.

@maldita27 review mo po yung job description mo na ipinasa sa CPAA. Your tasks should more or less be comparable/related sa tasks of Accountant per Australian Bureau of Statics. Mag appeal ka lang with CPAA if makakuha ka ng revised COE/JD which will reflect that you tasks are relevant sa work ng Accountant.

@pink kaya lang po yung syllabi ko kasi 200+ pages. diba po may limit yung MB pag email. Kung ipapafreight ko papunta CPAA, pano po ba makakareceive ng results ng assessment? through mail din ba?

May nakapagtry na po ba sa inyo ng Credentialled Community Language qualification? Pano po magtake nun? and ano pong mas okay, FIlipino to English or English to Filipino?

@pink thanks po sa pagsagot. I actually I find it weird na negative ang result ng skilled employment assessment since i have a friend who submitted almost the same job description and he got a positive result. I was planning to appeal the assessment since mahirap nang makahingi ng bagong job details sa previous companies ko dahil kakaalis lang ng mga former managers ko.

Does anyone have experience in how to do the appeal?

@ginelgomez wala ka ba nakuha na course description? actually, course description and syllabi ang nakuha ko pero yung course description lang sinend ko sa CPAA.

@maldita27 oh, weird nga yun.. pero pede naman yata statutory declaration from your previous boss na lang.

I am currently waiting for the result of my appeal. In my case, CPAA did not consider my external audit experience as relevant to Accountant code kasi very generic yung nilagay na JD ng previous employer ko. Luckily, mabait ang prevous employer ko so I drafted a revised JD and asked my previous employer to follow that one.

@ batman, question po sa stat declaration, halimbawa po sa job na 5 yrs ng nakalipas na may employment certificate at the time na umalis tapos yung stat declaration is ngaun lng na year ok ba yan or need a new employment cert. para mas close yung dates sa stat dec.? Thanks in advance

@ginelgomez Medyo OT, pero sagutin ko na din, pasensya na po sa moderators. i was also thinking of taking NAATI before, but was discouraged by other takers. Mahirap daw ang english to filipino and vice versa. But this information is not first hand so ewan ko lang talaga. Hindi ako tumuloy kasi ubos oras, matagal, then 5 points lang ma earn mo, and 8/10 na kakilala ko failed. I'd rather take PTE 3 or 4x with the NAATI fee. Are u considering this to increase your points?
