thank you so much for the reply. Oo nga eh nung naginquire ako parang hindi sila familiar masyado? Basta ang weird ng feeling yung ibang question ko about the review proper hindi nila maaddress kaya mejo nagdoubt ako though yung international language manila yung administrator talaga nakausap ko yung nagfafacilitate daw ng PTE mismo sa AU visited them last January and recognized them as review center for PTE and gave them lecture materials daw.
Oo nga eh yun nga nabasa ko mostly puro self study and yung Gold kit which includes 2 sample tests. Wow! Its good to know may mommy din dito na nakakatelate lol wow I can imagine how crazy your sched is working and may baby. Ako naman ako lang nagaalaga kay baby plus household chores. Nako dear wait till your baby reaches 2, terrible twos! Super clingy and height ng separation anxiety lol The moment he sees my laptop he cries non stop na kasi he knows na may kaagaw siya ng attention. Anyway baka magstudy nalang ako sa gabi pag himbing sleep niya ang hirap magrisk sa review centers

OET? Katakot! Magkano yung hindi nila nabalik na money sayo? Hirap pa naman mahal kaya ng package sayang money

Bakit daw hindi nila binalik? Tinanong ko pa naman kausap ko 100% passing rate daw sila eh naghahanap ako feedback and reviews about them online wala ako makita

Itatanong ko lang ulit yung question ko regarding booking/late booking fees ng PTE-A.

Tuwing kelan mag-a-apply yung late booking fee na 265 USD? Pag nag-book ka ng ilang araw na lang bago mag-exam?

SPEAKING: FROM 66 TO 90.

Hi guys,

I would just like to give back and help others na nahihirapan sa SPEAKING part tulad ng pagtulong sakin nung mga naunang nakapasa. I was also very frustrated nung unang take ko dahil dito lang din ako mababa and i dont understand why. I believed I did well nung exam to the point na dapat magpapare-score ako.

Disclaimer: I will try to share what I did and observed. I dont mean to falsify ung tips galing sa ibang sources. its just that, this is what worked for me and I hope this will help others.

MIC POSITIONING: halos nasa ilong ko na po nakatapat ung mic ko kasi dun walang buga ng hangin pag nagrerecord ako.

READ ALOUD:

1st take: ang nakuha kong tip was make sure na well-enunciated ung words. I also observed phrasing, intonation and stressing of keywords. In effect, ang bagal ko magbasa. this is what i observed na ginagawa ng madami nung nag exam ako last monday, nov.28.

2ND TAKE: I just looked for the commas and periods. Dun lang ako nagpapause. The rest tuloy-tuloy ang basa ko. kung may mahabang sentence na walang comma, i try to read it in one go. Di po kailangan magmadali basta tuloy tuloy. I focus and read one word at a time then jump to the next without pause. Hindi po perfect ung pagbabasa ko. madami akong di napronounce ng maayos pero i kept on reading ng tuloy tuloy na parang walang nangyari. composure lang para fluent padin. Ung intonation ko basta falling tone pag period pag comma I try na itaas ung tone pero minsan nakakalimutan kong gawin.(NOTE: my pronunciation was low at 69 pero ung fluency is 90, maybe this was the effect of mispronouncing words, pero ok lang as long as 90 ung speaking overall)

REPEAT SENTENCE:

I can repeat sentence with high accuracy pero at low speeds kasi I try to remember exactly what was said. Pero since I understand na sa fluency ako madadali, i try to say ung natandaan ko and improvise kung di ko talaga matandaan in a fluent manner.

ex.
sentence: yesterday, i went to the pharmacy near my office to buy some pain relievers.

my response: yesterday, i went to the pharmacy to buy some pain killers.

I remember, may isang sentence na halos four words lang ung natandaan ko sa start kasi mabilis pero nagiprovise nalang ako.

Some sentences are short and you can repeat it easily. Just try to be fluent kahit na hindi mo natatandaan lahat dun sa mahahabang sentence.

DESCRIBE IMAGE:

1st take: may pattern ako ng sasabihin na nakuha ko sa webinar ng E2language sa youtube. although hindi ako masyadong fluent kasi i need to think of what to say next.

2ND TAKE: I used this template ( i just adapted this from other tips. sorry kung di ko na maalala kung sino ung original na gumawa. thanks for it).

Overall there is an increasing trend/ decreasing trend /fluctuation/ all most the same.

Sometimes madami kang madidiscuss sa image so unti nalang ung fillers na malalagay mo. pag malapit na ung time i tried to finish with a complete sentence although di ko naman laging nagawa.

ex. last sentence: ...the chart was informative.

try to be fluent with your discussion. kung may gusto ka pa idiscuss pero nagsstamer kana, might as well finish with the memorized fillers nalang.

RETELL LECTURE:

Dito ako pinaka hirap sa pagpractice. what worked for me is to get around 4 sentences galing sa recording. i tried ung technique na keywords lang ung isulat ko pero pag magsasalita nako, hindi ko na alam pagdugtungin ung madaming keywords na nasulat ko. so ang ginagawa ko is listen for the topic, then get my first sentence basta lang may subject, verb at object ok na un. habang nagsusulat ako di ako makafocus sa ibang sinasabi so nagfocus nalang ako sa pagsulat. then after ng first sentence, i listen for my second sentence.

Notes taken:
Bees
1. color flowers tell temperature
2. diff color same nectar
3. energy to keep warm
4. bees like warmer flowers

TEMPLATE: (thank you for the person that made the original template, i modified this a bit)

"the lecturer provided a brief information about and a significant time was spent discussing around this topic.

The speaker concluded after all the data points were completely discussed.

To summarise his analysis he points out that:
>The color of flowers can tell their temperature.
>And flowers may have different colors even though they have same amount of nectar.
>In addition, bees take a lot of energy to keep themselves warm.
>Finally, he concluded by saying that bees prefer warmer flowers.

Fillers: the lecture was interesting and informative and can be utilised by students and educators."

again, i tried to finish with the a complete sentence kung mapuputol na ung time. hindi ko po sure kung anong effect kung ma cut ka in the middle of a sentence pero nabasa ko lang na baka maapectuhan ung grammar. In my experience, minsan minsan na nacucut din ako midway.

SHORT ANSWERS:

I did not know lahat ng sagot pero i gave answers anyway. try to make sure na "recording" na before giving your answer. ung una ko kasi, nagulat ako so nagsalita nako bago mag recording. kung hindi nyo po alam ung sagot, give any answer muna, then if bigla nyo maalala, then pwede nyo ihabol.

ex. what do you call the piece of paper you get when you purchase an item.

response. paper...receipt.

just give any answer kahit hindi nyo alam. i remember may hindi ako alam na sagot, something about statue, so ang sinagot ko statue... liberty. alam ko maling mali ung sagot ko, kaya i was surprised din na naka 90 ako.

FINALLY: I know its a lot of money. I used "PTE2015" promo code to save some. from around P10,200 to around P9,300.

Nung nagfail ako ng ielts and pte 1st take, i feel frustated kasi i know i did my ultimate best. But I thought I wont allow this failures to stop me from what i want and dictate what I will get in my life. Lets be PERSISTENT and ACHIEVE OUR AUSTRALIAN DREAM!

@nickieneckieRN yes sis, pagtulog ng baby ko saka ako nagrereview til midnight, tapos gising ng maaga para sa work kaya super madami n ako investment sa PTE pero i don't want to give up since i've gone this far na.. isa n lng exam center ngaun, sa makati n, may mga kasabay taung iba ang exam nila like nclex, etc. kaya kung ksabay sila kailangan considerate haha kc tau sa pte, nature ng exam malakas sa speaking.. baka next yr na ako mag exam para todo review talaga..

ang ginawa ko kc inapply ko mga templates, like into, two points and conclusion tpos next na ako, mabilis k nasasabi kc bka mabulol ako, di pala ganun kailangan iconsume ung time atleast 35secs to speak haha.. kaya apply m n experience k para mag take 1 ka lng.. mahirap iwanan ang baby ng ilang araw kc manggagaling p ako ng norte papunta manila.. diba? super mommy talga pero ganun ang effort kung gusto makamit ang dreams by God's grace lang talaga..

and yes try e2language.. un din mga dinownload kong review materials from youtube.. and ofcourse marami pang iba..

@nickieneckieRN Di din ako nag reciew center pero isa recommended kong review source ang e2language.com. Makikita mo naman sa mga free webinars palang nila na okay sila. Laking tulong nila sakin sa Describe Image, Write Essay at Summarize Written Text. Merong isang active dito sa PTE na nagpaid membership sa e2language. Feel ko sulit sila kasi may one-on-one coaching din sila.

FYI lang, sa nagbabalak bumili nung practice items ng Pearson (ptepractice.com) - kung bibili kayo, sa tingin ko hindi sulit yung sample questions @ $9.99. Gamit na lang kayo nung mock test software at timer. Parang yung ibang questions doon, nakita ko na rin sa McMillan o kung saan man.

Mas sulit pa yung scored online exams or Gold Kit kung gusto mo ma-gauge kung ano mga dapat i-improve. Yung Silver Kit, parang wala ring sense bumili kasi scored online exam A lang yun + sample questions (na hindi ganun ka-helpful, sa tingin ko). Bumili ka na lang nung 35.99 na practice set A or B kung ganun din lang. Hindi worth it yung additional 4 dollars nung Silver para sa akin, sobrang lugi ka.

Kung review yung habol ninyo, mas maigi pa yung mga youtube videos ni e2 saka yung files na binigay ni @filipinacpa

Saka 1-time use lang ang scored online exam kahit sa Gold Kit. Kailangan bilhin ulit kung gusto mo ulitin.

Sa Re-retell lecture ba, oks lang na ulitin ang same sentence from the lecture, or kelangan paraphrase? How about sa Reading-Multiple choice & answers, usually more than 3 ba ang correct answers?

sa mga nakapasa na po sa PTE, tanong ko lng po kung ung ginawa niyo sa speaking kagaya ng sample speaking ng MacMillan? ganun po ba kabilis ginawa niyo (sa Read Aloud sample), ung parang hndi mkahinga? haha.. may phrasing pero, ung bilis nya super talaga.. so kung ganun sa Read Aloud, malamang po n ganun din sa re-tell at describe image? iniisip ko pa lang parang magstutter n ako hahaha.. @D.K.A.T yung comportable ka po sa pagsasalita na di mabagal at di naman mabilis, tamang-tama lang, yung mga sample kasi from McMillan and PTE Plus mga native speaker po kasi yun.

Should i buy another mock test or proceed na sa pagtake ng exam...
Nakakalungkot talaga yun speaking ko... i think sablay talaga ako sa repeat sentence kasi d ko masabi lahat ng words sa sentence... any thoughts? Balik ko kasi mag nursing dito sa australia kasi nurse ako sa pinas..

If I buy another mock test pareho lang ba yong items or questions n lalabas or its just the same set of test sa mock a and b...

@rhycka hindi ba pwede ulitin yung mock? saken kasi pwede maulit. ang napansin ko lang yung questions hindi na the same order nung una, random sya pero yun lang din ang mga questions di nagbabago.
