Chamba lng po. Hnd din po ako mkapaniwla pero thankful po ofcourse. Bale ang ginamit ko yung nkashare dito yung nsa hard drive. Yung kay Macmillan. Inulit ulit ko lng sagutan yung 4 practice tests. Tpos mostly based s youtube yung e2 learning. Yung format s speaking nashare n din memorise mo lng yun pra konte nlng yung talagang sasabihin mo at mkakuha ng mataas n mark s speaking. Bumili ako ng 2 practice test. yung isa tinake ko agad pra maasess ko kung saan ako kelangan magwork yung isa 2 days before ng exam pra s final assessment. and most importantly kelangan ng madaming dasal

yun talaga ang nagdala skin kc hnd nmn ako ganun kagaling mag English.

sa mga hindi familiar sa "separate" room. yung separate room, hindi naman kayo totally isolated. sa loob ng testing room may isang maliit na room. pero open pa rin ang pinto so most likely rinig pa rin ang mga tao sa loob ng testing room.

hindi ko pa na-try dun kasi last exam ko kinuha agad ng indian dude ang number 1 kaya number 2 ako. naririnig ko ang indian while taking the exam so may big chance na rinig din niya kaming nasa labas.

Hi @jaceejoef yung mga templates mga 10 pages behind, sinundan ko lng po yun.. tpos s study routine eh basta araw araw ang gingawa ko isang element ng exam. Minsan pag nagrerest ako from work nagmememorise ako ng mga templates pra kht ano gingwa mo familiar ka s templates. At araw araw n dasal..

Wala akong nakuhang template for re-tell lecture. Ang ginagawa ko is naglilist down lang ako ng key points from the lecture - kahit anong mahagip ko while listening.

I start my answer with
"The lecture talks about... "

and then nagrerephrase lang ako ng mga 2-3 points na nalista ko. Aim ko is makasalita ng at least 35 seconds.

Hindi man ako ang tinanong mo magshare lang ako heheeh! Lagi kong sinusuggest is yung sample tests ni tcyonline kasi they provide explanations for the answers. Malaking tulong kapag alam mo kung bakit yun yung tamang sagot para masagot mo ng tama yung same type ng questions next time.

Just want to share a tip kung sa trident makati po kayo mageexam ng 9am. Try niyo po magarrive by 7:45am. Nagpapastart po sila ng exam as early as 8:15am, mas maaga mas ok kasi konti pa lang kayong nageexam. Konti lang possible distractions sa speaking part. Hope this helps!

Pwede namang COE lang. Tapos magpagawa ka na lang ng affidavit/Stat Dec sa isang superior mo para makaclaim ka ng points. Ganun gnawa ko dun sa isang company na napagworkan ko na di nagbibigay ng COE with JD.

Ginamit ko lang in preparing for the PTE-A yung 4 sets of exams ng MacMillan and yung Pearson mock exam software. Inulit-ulit ko lang for two weeks para ma-familiarize ako sa exam format and time constraints. It also helps na both have sample recordings para makita mo mga needed changes sa speaking portions.

@Heprex Kaya mo yan! Isa pa palang tip: i-test ng maayos yung headset and mic. Naka 10 minutes ata ako sa pag test. Yung ibang examiners in progress na ako nasa testing phase pa din haha.

@auitdreamer sorry off topic. Noob lang... tinitignan ko yung timeline mo ano ibig sabihin nung ACS stage 2, 3 etc at bakit nagkakaroon e.g ng 2 years dedection.

Hi everyone I’m a silent reader dito sa forum. Share ko lang naging experience ko sa PTE. First take ko nung October 28 with the following scores: L70/R60/S36/W88. Nagtake ulit ako nung November 15 and after 16 working days dumating score ko: L81/R72/S90/W77. Malaking tulong sakin forum na to kaya gusto ko rin tulungan ibang tao kung paano naging 90 speaking ko from 36. Magbibigay din ako tips sa other skills kahit di ganun kataas score ko. hehe. Super thank you sa mga tumulong sakin. Sa mga minessage ko @jample @duroboz @dorbsdee @Teng10 @bluezaido @auitdreamer @tonzap26 thank you sa inyong lahat.

First, hindi mo need na magaling ka sa English para makakuha ng 90 sa speaking. Para sakin technique ang kelangan. Nagenroll ako sa review center para malaman kung anong mali sa ginawa ko. Hindi kasi ako makapaniwala na 27 oral fluency and 29 pronunciation ko nung una. Parang wala akong natama sa mga sinabi ko. Yun nasa isip ko nun.

Nung nagPM ako sa mga nasa forum may nasabi sakin na nagreview center daw siya kaya nagenroll din ako. Yung review center di sila sanay sa PTE pero nagcater sila ng review for call center agents. Kaya bihasa sila sa mga computer based speaking test. Super galing nung naging instructor ko. Tinuruan niya ako kung paano ba nagwowork yung mga exam software like PTE.
Sorry kung mahaba hehe pero eto mga tips ko per category.

SPEAKING:
Read Aloud: Nung first take ko natatapos ko ung isang item in 35 secs. Kasi binibigkas ko ng maayos yung mga words. Nung second take ko in 20-25 secs tapos na ko. Important na tuloy tuloy lang. Like ng sabi ng iba short pause for comma and long pause for period. Pero wag yung super tagal na pause. Pagdating sa intonation, pababa lang ako lagi after each sentence. Try to emphasize yung mga important words in each sentence. Dito ako nahirapan kaya ang ginawa ko nagbasa ako ng short passages. Yung nasa scored practice test ok yun gawing practice. Inulit ulit ko lang yun hanggang sa nasaulo ko na. Nung nasaulo ko na siya napractice ko kung paano iemphasize ung mga academic words.

Repeat Sentence: Ginamit ko yung mga video sa youtube na repeat sentence. Dapat intindihin yung thought ng sinabi nung speaker. Pag kasi naintindihan mo na yung sinabi mauulit mo siya. Hindi lahat ng words na repeat ko. Siguro 5 lang yung sure ako na tama yung iba kung ano ano yung nasabi ko pero andun yung thought ng kung ano yung sinabi nung speaker.

PROCESS/DIAGRAMS: The process/diagram projected on the screen describes how ________. Dito wala ako template na ginamit. Yung mga words na nasa picture binasa ko lang para makabuo ako ng sentences.

TABLE: The table projected on the screen is the presentation of variables from research entitled ________. It is subdivided into ________columns and ________ rows. The highest sector is ________ with ________ while the lowest sector is ________ with ________. It is surprising to see that ________ is the second highest sector with ________. Overall, this graph seems accurate and concise and can be used as a reference for future studies.

Abot ng 40 secs yung template pag nilagay mo yung mga data from the table or graph. May times na stop na pala yung recording nagsasalita pa ako. Tuloy tuloy lang kayo magsalita. Kung nagkamali kayo ng pagpronounce wag niyo na ulitin. Basta tuloy tuloy lang.

Retell Lecture: Ang ginawa ko dito nagsulat ako ng 3-4 sentences na sinabi sa lecture. After ko makapagjot down hindi na ako nakinig sa ibang sinabi. Binasa ko yung sentences na nakuha ko sa lecure para pagdating ng recording tuloy tuloy ko syang babasahin. Kung ano yung sentence na sinabi sa lecture same na same yung sinabi ko.

May template din ako nakita dito sa forum. I’m very sorry di ko na tanda kung kanino ko nakuha pero thank you.

The lecture was regarding ________ and a significant amount of time was spent discussing around this topic. The lecture concluded after all the data points were discussed completely. To summarize his/her analysis, he/she pointed out that ________. (sinabi ko yung 3-4 sentences na sinulat ko, wala akong conclusion)

May isang lecture na 1 sentence lang nasulat ko kasi di ko maintindihan yung speaker. Nagkataon na yung item nun may table na picture. Binasa ko lang yung sa table at dahil nga saulo ko na yung read aloud sa scored practice test, yun na lang sinabi ko.

Answer Short Questions: Answer each question with confidence. Kahit alam nyong mali sagot nyo go pa rin.

LISTENING:
Everyday naglisten ako ng TED talks at BBC news para masanay utak ko na makinig. Dapat pag nakikinig kayo try nyo rin inintindihin yung mga sinabi. Para pag dating sa exam, sanay na yung ears and brains nyo na makinig habang iniintindi yung lecture. Make it a habit na pagkagising at bago matulog makinig kayo ng TED at BBC. Sila yung mga naging friends ko. hehe

Summarize Spoken Text: Use synonyms sa mga words from the lecture.

MC-CMA/MC-CSA: Isa lang mabibigay ko na tip. Read the instruction bago magstart yung recording. Nung first take ko akala ko single answer lang need yun pala nasa choose multiple answer pala ako.

Highlight Incorrect Words: Read the passage while moving the cursor.

READING:
MC-CMA: Usually daw 2 out of 5 yung correct. Lahat ng sagot ko 2 lang. Eliminate wrong options first.

MC-CSA: Read the question first. Scan thru the text. Check options for the correct answer.

Reorder Paragraph: Look for the topic sentence first then the conclusion (recommendation/prediction). Para may 2 na kayo na naarrange.
Fill in the Blanks: Wala ako mabigay na tip dito kasi hirap din ako dito eh. Ang technique ko lang yung mga choices na words inapply ko sa lahat ng blanks. And tiningnan ko kung ano yung may sense.

WRITING:
3-4 days before ako magexam dun lang ako nagbasa ng mga sample PTE essays. Para fresh sya pag dating ng exam.

OTHER TIPS:
Wait for the first green bar before speaking. Nagwait ako ng macomplete yung recording ko bago ako nagclick ng Next. Yung position ng mic ko nasa ilong. Dun kasi walang hangin. Pero yung kapantay ng lips at chin, mahangin sakin kaya sa nose ko nilagay. Hehe. Sobrang tagal ko nagtest ng mic. Yung iba na naunahan ko pang pumasok patapos na sila sa read aloud. Ganun katagal ako ngtest mic to the point na narequest ako ng ibang headset kasi di ako happy sa quality ng recording. Pero sabi nung invigilator ganun daw talaga siya. Wala ako naging problem sa maingay na room siguro sanay lang ako sa maingay. Hehe. Read academic words each day din pala.

At ang pinakaimportante sa lahat ng tip ay PRAY. Wag niyong kakalimutan magpray sa bawat pagrereview nyo at lalo na sa araw ng exam nyo at after ng exam.

Sobrang tagal dumating ng result ko. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero nagmessage naman Pearson sakin twice na hindi pa available yung akin. Pero worth it naman pagiintay ko.
