@oninz kung may matutuluyan kana, malaking bawas na un sa expenses.. i would say 300k php could last 6 months kung basic food at transpo lang ang expenses mo..
agree.... $1,350 per month can go a long way if you strip out rent.

Hi Guys, I was the one who started this discussion and I'm so happy to see that a lot of you have been participating in this thread. There were a lot of questions answered.
I'd like to share my experience since the time I started this discussion.
My husband and I moved a year after we received the visa. We prepared a few things before finally deciding the move date. We got ourselves certifications that we know would add value to our CVs. We also prepared a reasonable amount of money for the move.
But after all those preparations, what happened next when we got here was way beyond our expectations. My husband got a job after a month. I also got a casual job after two months of job hunting and luckily got hired by the company.
What I'm trying to say is that it all boils down to three things: faith, confidence and luck.
Faith - Have faith that everything will be okay. Whatever odds you may get yourself in, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.
Confidence - Have confidence with your knowledge, skills and experience by getting the right visa, education and skills you need to be visible in the market.
Luck - Be at the right place at the right time ika nga.
After a year of being here, I never regretted choosing Down Under over Dubai. The move is worth it. And I believe you will feel the same. Di mo mami-miss ang Dubai mall.

@RoseG thanks for sharing your experience. anong industry kayo ng hubby at saang State? Hindi ba mahirap ang BIG move nyo may kasama ba kayong anak and if you don't mind magkano ang baon nyong pera (approx).
I think many people now chose to leave UAE considering the cost of living here, lahat nagtaas na, ang sahod na lang ang hindi nagtataas plus magkakaroon narin ng 5% tax.
Any advice from both of you?

@bluerocky , single kasi ako when i did my application . Sa june, mag iinitial entry for a week ako kasama ang partner ko pero babalik din kmi uae. Then sa november, move na ako. Di pa ako nagreresign sa work.. Ilang years ka na uae?

@bluerocky , i think, if may family ako and kids and i have enough funds, i would bring them with me in oz. but some people dont take that risk katulad ng officemate ko, nagrant na sila ng visa sa nz, pero he is still working here in uae, his wife ( main applicant) and children migrated to nz..
@Winnie2016 , Ah ok kaya naman pala ikaw lang mag isa ang pupunta, mas madali pala sayong mag adjust, 13+ years na ako dito sa dubai kaya nakakapag isip narin na migrate to settle my future alam mo naman dito sa UAE walang kasiguraduhan.

Hello po sa lahat! taga Abu Dhabi ako and been here for almost 10yrs. My wife is already 7weeks pregnant to our 1st child. Yes may mga kaliwat kanang sale sa mga malls at very comfy ang lifestyle rito (im working as electrical engr & wife is a govt nurse).
We started our OZ application last week i will be the principal applicant.
(i have 12yrs exp, 9 yrs si misis).

May thread din dito for nurse.
Hi! I'm so glad to see this thread. My husband and I are both 28 y/o. We are currently in Abu Dhabi. Both CPAs since 2011, pero medyo nalihis ako ng experience. We have a 22 month old daughter. I talked to a migration agent earlier closed na raw ang Sydney for accountants. We are considering Australia or Canada. If Australia, Melbourne ang target namin. Sana pag nastart namin yung PR process namin okay pa ang opportunities dyan. Ang mahal na rito sa UAE tapos may tax na next year and nakakatakot na rin (Qatar issue). *crossed fingers*

@madamA tingin ko mag english exam ka muna , yung iba ielts or pte, but for me PTE. Two components i-assess sau yung degree at employment.

I'd like to share my experience since the time I started this discussion.

I think many people now chose to leave UAE considering the cost of living here, lahat nagtaas na, ang sahod na lang ang hindi nagtataas plus magkakaroon narin ng 5% tax.
Any advice from both of you?

We started our OZ application last week i will be the principal applicant.
(i have 12yrs exp, 9 yrs si misis).
