@ishtepi Hello, kung mock test yan, mag tiwala ka lang sa scores mo sa LRW, you need a good headset tulad nung sa real exam with regards sa speaking.

@greenapple Yung mic ko naka position lagi sa level ng chin. Dito lang din ako kumuha ng mga tips. Yung template na gigamit ko yung sa E2language. Habang nag rereview ako ng speaking laging maingay sa kwarto, nag papatugtog ako ng radio.

-Yung practice ko sa read aloud, binabasa ko yung mga article sa http://www.abc.net.au/
-Describe image naman, template lang from E2language
-Re-tell lecture, sinasabi ko lang yung mga natatandaan ko. pag wala na akong masabi, click ko na agad next para hindi na ako mag ahhhh, amm
-Repeat sentence, kng ano lang natandaan ko yun lang din sinasabi ko
-Answer short question, sinasagot ko lang yung tanong, pag di ko alam sumasagot pa din ako ng kahit ano. tpos click next na lagi.

Lastly, bago ako mag salita tinitingnan ko muna na nag uumpisa na mag record, saka ako mag sasalita. Tpos kapag nag uumpisa na yung speaker, wag hawakan ang mic or headset na rerecord kasi yun as noise.

@Tenchu you'll be fine. Just do more practice questions/lessons everyday until you feel you can ace each item come exam date. I got most of my tips from this thread, the Macmillan book, and YouTube. My preparation was way harder than the actual exam, and it should be.

@ishtepi you know the part where you're being asked to test the mic? I did the record/playback like 5 times until I was satisfied. My initial concern to the proctor was background noise (it was fully booked that time) but the mic and headset did a good job filtering out the rest. Position it according to where you can speak the loudest and the clearest (for me, just about half an inch away from my mouth).

@MissOZdreamer rather than me, watch some of the videos in PTE Gold on Read Aloud. Their answers are the best examples you can find out there. Try to emulate how they talk, use accents, pause, etc. That's why my #1 tip on this item is speak flamboyantly, because I find their examples flamboyant or classy-sounding.

@Heprex hi! yan na lang din sana ang gusto ko isipin, kaya lang kasi nakapag actual exam n din ako. mababa talaga ang pronunciation at oral fluency ko. bale ngayon lang ako bumili ng mock exam kasi gusto ko n ulit magtry. ayun, pakiramdam ko naman ay ayos ang pagsasalita ko. hay, pero tuloy lang ang practice. salamat sa feedback

Sa totoo lang, may bloopers ako dyan s part ng mic testing

nung last exam ko, todo check tlga ako, ang problema sakin hindi ko mafigure out kung san ang best kasi parang pare parehas lang ang dating sakin (my bad)

sa tagal ko ata, nilapitan n ko ng invigilator asking if there's any problem with my headset kasi I'm taking too long na daw, haha! But anyway, I'll still do that

Hi all

one thing you can try is put a pencil on your mouth, read the passage. and yes, mahihirapan ka magsalita, parang isasagad mo yung pencil sa mouth mo, in that way ma stretch sya. after that, read the passage again. you''ll notice there will be a difference, parang mas lilinaw pagbigkas mo ng every word. hand gestures while talking, yes its a must. kasi mas maeexpress mo yung binabasa mo. that's all
