have an occupation that is on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations
have a suitable skills assessment for that occupation

@olbinado11 hindi kase automated ang invite system sa 190, unlike sa 189. It depends kase sa pag ka rare ng occupation mo pag state sponsorship. Kung rare ang application mo, like nurses for example. Kahit 55+5 points mo, pipliin ka ng Victoria. Pero pag ICT occupation, kahit mataas ang points mo, mahirap mainvite, kase madaming kalaban.

@Heprex Thanks sa info boss. Pero saan po malalaman pagkararity nung occupation ko? Software Tester po kasi ako. And nung chineck ko yung Points Table nasa 50 Points palang ako... so sad.

@olbinado11 Software Tester din ako. Open sya sa Victoria. I don't agree about points being irrelevant kasi the occupation is open naman and sure, madaming applicants sa ICT pero priority nila ang mataas na points.

@lccnsrsnn 190 din po? Follow up question po.. Sorry dami tanong. Nagtake po kasi ako ng academic ielts last feb, at may 6 po ako (ave 7), pasok na ba sya sa Competent (6+) ? or if magretake po ako advise nyo po ba ielts pa dn? And tama ba na academic kinuha ko?

@lccnsrsnn Sana nga mali ako. hehehe kung old process ni Vic, posible, kasi chinecheck tlga nila isa isa yung nag ssubmit sa site nila. Kaso, ginaya na nila setup ni NSW, which is sila yung napili. Tulad sa occupation ko sa NSW, 263111, daming 75+ sa kabilang forum, pero walang invite. Though nag iinvite sila sa 2613 family ng 70 or 75. kaya napansin namin na it depends tlga sa state. All the best sa inyo.

Edit: alam ko may tinatawag na stream 2 or 1 ba yun. na High ranking points, iniinvite nila regardless ng occupation. Di ko lang alam kung tama pag kakaalala ko.

@olbinado11 Hindi ko alam kung bakit di pwede ang Software Tester sa 189 eh. Dapat IELTS General lang kinuha mo. Tsaka dapat 7 lahat. Try mo PTE Academic tinatanggap sya sa AU.

@olbinado11 @lccnsrsnn hi! Software tester din ako with 70pts. Medyo kinabahan ako sa hindi nagmamatter ang points, pero sa mga nababasa ko kasi system daw nagffilter ng points then those who have high points are selected. Makikibalita naalng ako dito if may nainvite na sa inyo sa 190 VIC.

good luck satin! July 5 nag lodge ng EOI yung agent ko. Btw, at least 12 wks daw after maglodge ng EOI ang hhintayin before makatanggap ng ITA (sabi ng agent ko and ng friend ko na andon na sa VIC).

@qatev The points won't matter if your occupation is not open sa state. Pero if it's open, of course point system pa din. July 10 nag-lodge yung agent ko. 12 weeks nga daw pero may nakita ako sa myimmitracker 3 days lang na-invite na sya. We'll see.

@qatev @lccnsrsnn i believe the points will matter especially sa change ng application process ng VIC for ICT professionals regarding state sponsorship. though mukhang mataas naman points nyo so wishing you luck na makuha agad.

@Heprex may quota rin kasi sila per job. so not necessary na icompare mo ung points ng 263111 sa 2613. anyways konting tiis na lang bro. alam kong tagal mo na rin nag-aabang dito based sa ACS thread. darating din yan, hehe.

btw, stream 2 is para dun sa mga wala sa CSOL list ni NSW but have very high points. though the job code should still be in the broader CSOL list (kasama sa list ng DIBP sa ibang states).

@olbinado11 you can try retaking ielts for a higher score pero this time around, try the general test instead of academic. magkaiba lang sila sa reading and writing portions wherein mas lighter ung general (i.e. books, advertisement) compared sa academic (i.e. journals). as far as i know, academics is required lang for those needing professional registrations like accountants and doctors pero hindi naman sa ICT (though double check mo rin for your particular job code)

@olbinado11 depende sa iyo yan. if you're willing to put time in to read through yung process and magresearch din, then you can save a lot of money. otherwise, an agent can guide you through the way by telling you what's needed (pero ikaw pa rin ung magcollect nung mga docs required).

Dibp is the one that categorizes the occupations. Ang 189 I think is the one that almost all states may need ng ganung NOC, then 190, specific lang ang need nila sa territory nila. As far as I know, and Ive been here for more than a year, Software Tester, 190 lang talaga.

@qatev correct, kung hindi available sa state ang occupation mo, it doesnt matter kahit 80pts ka pa. As for vic, i think points-based na sila, meaning the higher the points, the higher the chances of getting invited. hindi tulad last year, na kahit 55+5 lang, tinatanggap nila basta approved sa reviewers nila.
