guys question lng regarding mock exams, once ba na mag red yung timer dun may impact yun sa scoring? example lumagpas ka ng time allotted for reading or writing an essay? thanks.

@Supersaiyan hello, di ko maalala yung mock test ko. pero ang alam ko pag naging red na yung timer at nag bblink na, ibig sabihin malapit na matapos. pag nag 0 na sya, next item na.

I tried TOEFL before, last April. I only got 3 weeks to review. Self review ginawa ko kase hindi ko afford ang RF.

120 ang perfect score. 30 each part. 84 ang required score. Sadly I got 83. Thankfully, may other ways pa which is PTE so I went back home to PH and review for my NCLEX and try this PTE too.
It's a very very big help talaga nung napadpad ako sa forum na ito. But before this, I reviewed at JROOZ for two weeks just to have a knowledge and background sa PTE. My plan was to try the actual exam just after the review pero feeling ko kulang pa talaga ung practice ko. I still need a lot of practice.
And then, after the review, naging busy na ako for another two weeks kaya feeling ko nakalimutan ko na nireview ko. Preparing for my flight kasi. :P So, when I came back to the states, I continued reviewing for another 2 weeks (self review), this time, nagbasa na ako sa forum na to. Including youtube videos and other blogs. Hindi ako nakinig sa BBC Radio, nakakatamad kase but I strongly recommend this guys. At kung feeling niyo kulang pa ung practice nio, gapangin nio. Sayang kase ung pera. Make time. There is always time if you really want to achieve your dreams. If you need to sacrifice something, do it. Hindi naman kase lahat kayang ipag sabay. Kahit 30min everyday lang. Strive! for your future.

September 6 - took a scored mock test. (SILVER LANG KINUHA KO) Malaking tulong to. Para alam mo kung saan ang part na kailangan mo pang ifocus. Passed the overall score (got 61 here) but I got low in oral fluency (49) and pronounciation (37), even the written discourse (47). Disadvantage siguro ng may dentures cause you can't fully pronounce the word "s" ..at sa written discourse naman, gumamit ako ng "I think..." sa sentences ko. A big mistake yun. Dapat "In my opinion.." or "It can be concluded that.."
Nakuha ko ang scores after 24 hours.
After that, nagpa sched na ako ng actual exam. Ganun talaga siguro nuh? Merun ung feeling na feeling mo confident kana sa sarili mo na kaya mo na mag exam kahit may kaba.

September 11 - My actual exam day. I didn't really feel so nervous. Pray lang ako ng pray. Every question nag sa sign of the cross ako. Haha. Malaking tulong talaga na huwag kabahan. Be confident in yourself. Magsuot din kayo ng red na damit. Swerte un. I always do this every exam

Ang essay question sa akin: In today’s world, different government and international organization are confronting many problems. What is the most pressing problem among them? What can you suggest to solve this problem?

These days, there is an ongoing debate between people about _____________ and if it should be viewed as a positive or negative impact to society/individual/people (depende sa tinatanung sa essay). While it is possible to claim that__________ , my view is that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages (or balikad, if you're in favor of the positive impact). In this essay, I shall explain my point of view by analyzing both sides of the argument.

Firstly, there are several reasons why ________ is considered to be disadvantageous (advantageous, if you're in favor of the positive impact) to society. Sa speaking, finollow ko lang ung mga advices ni Sir Heprex at ung templates ni Sir batman/Sir albertus1982 sa descibe image.

Download niyo Speechnotes na app kapag android user ka. Tas try speaking to Siri naman kapag Apple user.

Read Aloud - pronounce the words correctly. It is better to open your mouth, not the para kang nakikipag usap lang sa katabi mo. And then sa fluency, just like heprex mabilis ko din natatapos ung pagbasa. Almost half the given time or half the time lang. Wag masyadong mabagal magbasa. Always maintain this pace pati sa Describe image kaya mas maganda na may memorized template ka.

Repeat Sentence - Not too easy, not too hard. Basta pag may mali ka, just move forward. Don't try to repeat it. Mga 7-10 words siya.

Sa Reading part, dto mauubos ang oras mo kung hindi mo talaga bilisan magbasa. Ang strategy dito, read the question and the choices first before reading the passage.

Listening - make sure na ung volume ng headphones mo tama sa pandinig mo. Para maintindihan mo sinasabi niya. Maganda ung volume 6/7 lalo na pag mlakas voice katabi mo.

Yun lang naman. Btw, 55 ang required na overall score dito and 50 naman in each figure. This is my first time to take PTE. Thank you thank you because of this site, I got some strategies and templates on how to crack PTE! and mostly thank you to God for granting all my prayers. I am a first taker in PTE and got my desired score. In fact, sobra sobra pa.

We're not that bad in english naman eh. Yung OF lang and Pronounciation lang tlaga ang need ipractice. Ang laki kasi ng bearing nun. Goodluck din sa inyo. I know you guys can do it. Make your family your inspiration.

di kina cut kahit red na yung timer, tuloy2 lang, not sure kung new changes yun sa ptepractice. So bali sa speaking and writing essay part nag exceed ata ako don sa allotted time ng extra 5 minutes at nkita ko red na yung timer nya pero hndi ako pinutol sa writing essay hanggang ma click ko submit button. haha. kaya ko naitnong ksi baka may factor sya sa grading kaya mababa results ko, hehe. just my two cents.

Guys, pls help, confused lang po sa scoring ni PTE. Last time I took the PTE practice test B, I got 52 in speaking, with OF:34 and Pron:30. Then I practiced po a lot, I took another PTE practice test this morning po and I got 51 for speaking, OF:46 and Pron:45. Confused lang po na, instead na tumaas ng konti score ko sa speaking since tumaas ng koti OF and Pron ko, mas bumaba pa po. Sana may makatulong sakin.

@Krisian, question lng sana, gumagamit k ba template? if not I suggest gamit ka pan dag2 ng OF at Pron. Sensya na not aware din ako kung pano scoring nyan ni PTE, naguguluhan nga din ako, writing ko ksi 61 lang though 90 ako sa written discourse tpos nsa 80+ vocabulary ko and grammar nsa 70+, di ba parang magulo?
