Temporary Graduate Visa

Hello everyone,

I'd like to know if many of you have applied for this visa after graduating, which is of course not applicable of you are already on a working/PR visa. Is it easy to apply for this or more challenging? Thanks.

Hi, this visa is easy to apply as long as you meet the requirements which is the minimum Australian study requirements and within 6 months after your course have completed.

@agentKams have you applied for this visa? I am planning to apply for student visa taking advanced diploma for two years and after that I am planning to apply for temp grad visa but i think it depends on the points?

@ailahbelen12 hi. will be lodging next month. this is not points-based visa, you need to satisfy the study requirements to avail this.

@ailahbelen12 for the post graduate stream it depends, bachelor and masters nasa 2 years, iyong graduate skilled ang 18 months. yes, you can actually apply for PR as you hold this visa.

@agentKams yung hospitality ba kasama sa sol list? ang dami ko kasi nababasa sa pinakasite sa border.gov may short saka long di ko alam kung ano don e. baka pag nagapply ako hindi ako matanggap for temporary kasi sa sol list

@arc123 hi, you need to satisfy the Australian study requirement for your Masters ( 2 years study or 16 months/92 weeks minimum study as per CRICOS): https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1/485-?modal=/Visas/supporting/Pages/485/Australian-study-requirement.aspx before you can get the visa. so hindi enough iyong 1 year lang na study.

sa tafe courses same, you need to satisfy the Australian study requirement before you can apply the temporary graduate visa and nominate skills on the MLTSSL - graduate work stream. so need your courses to be aligned with the occupation you will be nominating after.

Else, get work sponsorship if you can after you graduate.

@agentKams sa short list lang po ata included so pano po hindi po ako makakapagapply pala. What visa can I apply po? pwede po ba working holiday visa? without leaving the coutnry?

@ailahbelen12 alam ko po hindi kasama ang Philippines sa working holiday visa na program nila. try to seek work sponsorship if you can, or try to check 489(temporary visa)/190 (state sponsored) visa though this will take a lot of time and might require you to have another visa while onshore.

@yani1127 isa sa requirement ang AFP, so better get it ahead before you lodge kasi may chance na madeny daw if the day you apply for AFP is later than the day you apply for the 485 visa.

nope, hindi na kami hiningan ng NBI. we lodged last Feb 2018 lang.

@agentKams Hi po, ask ko lang if ilang weeks bago na grant yung visa po ninyo? Sa november pa matatapos uni ni misis, just preparing ahead of time. Plan ko na kasi kumuha ng AFP check para maunti unti na requirements namin.

Hi, may idea ba kayo kung madali lang ba magrant ang student visa if from 48t visa? Kulang pa ako sa points para makapag EOI kasi kulang na lang natitira sa visa ko

@agentKams ask ko lang po base sa last entry nyo dito, ano pong exam ang kinuha ninyo before kayo nag aaply ng AFP? ito ba yung sa skills assessment? IELTS/PTE?

Another question: pag sinabi bang 16 weeks of study, pwede po ba yun 1 year na diploma course(12 months), continued to advanced diploma (supposed to be another 12 months) pero mag aapply na ng 485 after 16 weeks ng advanced diploma? valid po ba yun.

Tama po ba na dapat muna kumuha ng AFP then pa assess ng skills sa certifying body , take ng PTE kasi expired na , then kumuha ng insurance, tama po ba ang pagkakasunod sunod ko...
Need your advise, kasi am planning to lodge din on my own para wala na babayaran na agent.

@lolay hello, wala naman kelangan na exam bago ka kumuha ng AFP, nagkataon lang na hindi pa expired iyong PTE ko nung nagapply ako ng 485 visa.

iyong Australian study requirement is minimum 92 weeks of study or 2 years. And iyong 485 visa, upon completion lang ng course contributing to the Australian study requirement, hindi ppwede na nasa middle ka pa lang nung isang course mo eh magapply ka na. kakailanganin mo iyong course completion letter from your school certifying na natapos mo iyong course mo within the specified time.

Hindi po kelangan ang AFP sa assessment, ang importante may AFP ka before you lodge your visa. Hindi naman necessary in order iyong pagcollate ko ng documents, dapat lang complete na lahat ng required documents before you lodge your visa.

In your case, dahil graduate skilled pathway ka, kelangan mo muna asikasuhin iyong PTE/english test if expired na then saka ka magpa-assess ka. ano pla nominated occupation mo?

Also, take note na dapat within 6 months na natapos mo iyong schooling eh makapagapply ka nung 485 visa onshore.

Hi @agentKams , I have two questions lang sana based on your 485 visa application experience:

1) Is it required to fill-up and attach Form 80 and Form 1221 as part of character assessment requirement?

2) Is it only after lodging and paying the online application that I am able to attach the supporting documents?

1. Form 80 lang ang finill up namin as per required documentation.
2. I can't clearly remember, parang attach then pay ata iyon nung time namin.

@agentKams more than 12 mos ago na yung last medical which I think is no longer valid kasi ang tanong sa online application is if it is still within 12 mos medical.... hindi ba yung "my health declaration" is necessary for medical referral if required to undergo examination? Tnx!
