@kittykate 3 yung exams, yung unang exam yung KAPS tapos written exam then oral exam. After that, internship for a year i think.

Ang ginagamit nila is Comprehensive Pharmacy Review by Shargel tsaka Lipincott Pharmacology

@aicieee Usually ang nakakapagmigrate dito ay yung may experience as Phar Tech madalas yung mga nagwowork sa Sg. Hindi ka makakapagapply for migration not unless na nag go through ka ng assessment for your nominated occupation. With Pharma, kailangan munang maging RPh dito sa Au bago ka makapagapply for PR. Either magaaral ka as PharTech or apply to be RPh here in Au. Before you decide to study, get a point estimate kung makakaabot ka ba sa needed na points for migration after your studies.

    Hi!

Registered pharmacist po ako here sa pinas. Naggather lang ako ng information as I'm looking to migrate sa australia.. My sister is already a citizen there. Honestly ayoko na sana magwork as pharmacist there. I'm looking into possibly getting a work as a pharm tech and then maybe study a different course.. Ano po ba pwede kong options with regards to visa application

@Cassey hi first of all kudos sayo sa pag sagot sa mga inquiries ng mga kapwa pinoy natin di lang dito pero kahit sa ibang topics.

Btw gusto ko lang sana magtanong if after magtake ng exam dito sa pinas (KAPS) need pa ba muna ng employer for internship bago pa pumunta ng Australia or may ibang ways pa para makapunta agad dyan and makapag work as pharmacist?

@rsp1216@yahoo.com Hi, I’m actually not sure since hindi ako nag go through the process but you definitely will have to look for an employer where you can do your internship. Unfortunately, hindi ka makakapagwork as RPh dito kapag hindi mo naipasa yung 3exams and without doing the internship. Kahit na maregister ka rito, kailangan mo pa ring magapply for Visa like 190 or 457 para makapagwork at stay ka rito sa Au kumbaga step mo lang yung registration mo rito as a Pharmacist towards PR.

@Cassey Okay thanks. E ano naman insight and advise mo if mag take ng Master of pharmacy na degree dyan? May pathway for PR ba after nun? So far mga agency kasi dito sa pinas mag aral daw muna dyan ang nirerecommend.

@rsp1216@yahoo.com With the Masteral, I don’t think it’s practical especially that you’ll have to dish out $30k a year and the course takes 3years to finish. It’s a big risk knowing that anytime pwedeng mabago yung rules and policies ng immigration and at the same time ng Pharmacy Board Of Australia. Who knows what will happen in those 3years? It’s a big risk.

@Cassey Sabagay may point ka dun laking risk nga plus malaki pa expenses na wala naman assurance. So ano pinaka maganda na advise mo para maging PR dyan lalo na at meron lang 3years work exp as hospital pharmacist dito sa pinas?

@rsp1216@yahoo.com Whatever you decide to do, it always comes with risk. If you want to practice here as Pharmacist, you can take the KAPS, etc and apply for 190 Visa once you get your registration. It'll take years still because you'll need to do the internship but I think you wont spend as much compared to Masters.

Hello. I am a registered pharmacist here in the philippines and is planning to work abroad, preferably australia. I am currently working in a hospital here in muntinlupa. I am thinking of resigning since I am already working here for 2years, and planning to work in a community pharmacy (TGP) since I need a light loadwork, nontoxic environment (compared to my work here in the hospital) because I will enroll for IELTS review this month. I just want to ask what should I take in mind before applying in Aus. All the requirements I need. Step by step process for applying. I just dont know where to start. I dont have any connections in Australia and I am working on this all by myself, I mean, God is with me. But I really need help. Thank you in advance.

@mhlnrsl Hi, before applying here in Au you have to consider what course you’ll take, if there is a pathway to PR after the course and if you’re ready financially. There are educational consultancy that offer free service such as IDP and AECC. You can book an appointment with them. They can guide you with the visa and school requirements. If you are in doubt, you can always ask here in the forum.

@YAM If you want to work here as a PharTech, you have to study and get a Pharmacy Tech Course. You can apply for a student visa to study here. The challenge though is getting a valid visa to stay and work here in Au once the course is finished. You have to get an assessment and must meet the requirements of the state that is open for the sponsorship. Do a lot of research because some state only offers sponsorship to those who graduated from that state.

@Janella2728 You have to passed the KAPS exam then do an internship for a year i think. Then to be registered there’s a written exam and oral exam.

@Janella2728 That I’m not quite sure, check the DHA website,
    https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1

I advice you to check the requirements of the states that are offering state nomination for the Pharmacist Occupation para as early as now, maiconsider mo siya sa kung ano yung kailangan mong gawin. Kasi some states require applicants to at least have stayed or lived there,

Anyone applying for a Skilled Visa 190 as Pharmacy Technician? And if nakapag assess na sa VETASSESS?

I was just wondering for your insight kasi po I have a 2 years experience in Community pharmacy as a Pharmacist. Will this be considered for this visa? Since yung license as Pharma sa Philippines is not valid there. Macredit po kaya siya as a Pharmacy tech experience nun?

@aicieee hi same tayo i was planning to apply visa 190 or 489. Na research na ako at sa vetasses at least 2 years of experience lang need nila para makapag assess sa nabasa ko. Tapos kana ba nag take ng english test?

@aicieee ang pagka intindi ko is the more experience the better kasi yung vetassess lang will decide kng they think our experience as pharmacist dito sa pinas as equivalent na for pharm tech.
