@ajet02 thanks, akala ko need pa mag ielts ulit eh. So pwede bang i-attach ung dati kong ielts results? Dun sa work ulit, naka ilang years ka muna sa work bago ka nag apply for 887? Tska sinumbit mo ba lahat ng payslips mo or ung mga payslips lang na more than 30hrs? Salamat ng mrmi,d2 ko din nakuha mga tips nun before ako nag apply for 489,napaka helpful ng forum na ito :)

Oo pwede i-attach yung dating IELTS. Siguro mga 2 yrs and 3 months yung binigay ko bale yun na lahat ng work experience ko at iisa lang employer ko. Ang alam ko as long as more than 1,820 hrs (52wks x 35hrs) ang work mo ok na yun. Yung sakin kasi halo eh and yung payslip ko is fortnight so bale x2 palage. Minsan mababa sa 70 hrs minsan sobra. Wala naman naging issue dun. Oo hangga't maari ibigay mo lahat ng payslips mo.

plan namin mag send ng 887 application this July. as a 489 holder, wala kami private health insurance. Under Health Requirement according sa updated 887, ''You do not need to provide any documents to show you meet our health requirement. Your doctor will send them to us.'' Yung ''doctor'' na sinasabi dun is doctor from immigration's preferred clinic? and pansin ko lang na hindi na required IELTS to both applicant and de facto.

Hi Guys, kakasubmit lang namin ng application for visa 887 last night. Sa wakas after 2 years of hard work my chance ng maging PR at most importantly makaka avail na ng medicare.

Goodluck satin.

Hello guys! It might be out of topic but I just wanted to ask this question for those subclass 489 holders.

Since we are not entitled for medicare, are you still paying the 2% levy tax? Can we opt not to pay this tax since we are not entitled by medicare? I just wanted to know how the process will be. Thank you and have a good weekend everyone! :)

Check medicare levy exemption from the ATO website..You dont have to pay coz you are not entitled of medicare benefits but you have to get a letter from the proper authority in your state stating that you are not entitled to medicare. This is needed if you are filing your income tax with the help of an accountant or if DIY pwede naman wala.

489 visa has a condition of living and working in a regional area. Its either a family sponsored stream or a state sponsored stream, you can gain this visa. I suggest the state sponsored pathway because quota is far more than the family sponsored one( around 10 Australia wide). If you opted for the family sponsored one, your sponsors should be living in a regional area. If they live in Melbourne, its not a regional area therefore they are not qualified to sponsor you. Based on your age, you should act now because by the time you comply the 2 years residency(on a 489) visa, youre almost 45. Maximum age to be able to apply PR is 45.

You can immediately see on your immi account if medical is required but mostly hindi unless siguro may issues when you applied your 489...upload all docs online including federal police clearance

Maximum file size is 5MB, if you need to compress the file, maraming online file reducing programs na pwede mo gamitin for free, just google it. Goodluck!

    Ako na sasagot @koykoy
    1. Saktong 2 yrs po kayo na staying in Au when you lodged?
I lodged mine 2 years plus 1 day( Feb 15 kami dumating, Feb 16 ako nagsubmit)

    2. Anu-ano pong docs ang sinubmit nyo for 887?
-Proof of living for 2 years in a regional area(bills, rental contract, etc...anything na may name ka at address.)
-Proof of 1 year fulltime work
These are the 2 major req pero just check the list on DHA website

    5. Hindi ba tlga puwede lumabas mg au while waiting fir tge visa yo be processed?
    - When you lodged your application, a Bridging visa A is issued. There is no travel facility for this visa. If you need to travel, apply for Bridging visa B. The bridging visa will only take effect after your 489 visa has expired, so kung di pa naman expired you can travel out of Au using the 489 visa. Better inform or ask DHA kung may plan ka to go overseas para official ang advise

    6. Need pa ng medicals ulit?
-No medicals needed. Makikita mo naman sayong immi account if needed.

Is there a residency calculator na pwede mag refer?
Need po ba mag submit from the get go para mag request na kmi ng NBI? Or sasabihin nila kung kailangan?

@koykoy Walang residency calculator, though kahit lumabas hubby mo ng 4 weeks, pwedeng di na bawiin by extending your application. Wla kasing official statement ang DHA regarding that. May mga nadidisapproved before pero medyo mahabahaba silang out of Au. In my case umalis ako ng 10 days pero di ko na binawi yong days na wLa ako. I applied a day after ako mag 2 years. I also live outside Ph before coming here pero yong old Police clearance lang inattached ko kasi di naman ako bumalik don at wala namang naging issue.

Don sa application acknowledgment, may statement don regarding benefits, though di sinasabi directly na entitled ka ng benefits ( kasi gumamit ng word na "might"), you can apply medicare and all the benefits a PR is entitled to, except don sa may mga waiting period like newstart allowance( pag looking ka ng work, at PR na ng 2 years)..Goodluck!

    @fgs maraming salamat fgs!
Ganun na nga lang po, i atras ko na lng ng a few weeks yung application to take into consideration yung labas ni hubby and will submit nbi and other necessary outside pinas clearances. Sana nga maging eligible na rin for child care subsidy kasi magiging malaking tulong yun. May validity pa ang 489 namin for mga 11 mos from when we apply—sana lang wag abutin ng expiry bago ma grant ang 887. I-shout out ko na lang kay Lord :)

Hello everyone. I have some questions. We were granted 489 visa sponsored by SA, so after 2 years we will proceed with 887 to gain PR. My husband (Dependent) will enter au first in August then me (Primary) and the kids in Dec. Ive read that it will be okay if my husband will apply his 887 on his own since dependents could be primary applicants for 887 as long as they meet the conditions. Though this will still depend on our circumstance in the future, we are looking at the possibility of him applying 887 ahead so he could access medicare and other benefits earlier. Now here are my questions.

    1. Since we are state sponsored, we need to inform SA about our arrival. Ive read in their website that only primary applicants should do this, since mauna si hubby, how do we inform SA of his arrival?

    2. What document can my husband present or keep para he could use as his proof in the future, that he is already in Au since his day of arrival (as it will take some time pa to enrol with bills and he will stay with his cousin’s house while looking for work). Can his airline ticket or boarding pass be used? Para maitago na namin.

    3. For the proof of residence in SA, phone bill lang naisip ko and health insurance. Enough na ba yun? Or what else could he prepare?

I want to prepare na the possible documents needed earlier para we dont miss out anything when we apply later. Pls let me know if there are other things we need to take note. Thanks in advance.

Then sa 2nd sentence if one sided lang yung question, I give summary of the reasons ( 2 reasons only). Example, if ang essay is about importance of computers (one sided), eto 2nd sentence ko. Computers are valuable resources as they (1st reason) aid in learning and are (2nd reason) used to communicate with others. Then sa 3rd sentence sasabihin ko para pampahaba-- In this essay, I shall discuss my point of view by giving points and examples about the topic.

Mga 2 sentences na magsupport sa 1st reason, like if yung 1st reason ko is aid in learning, expand ko ang topic by answering how computers aid in learning, etc. Usually yung reason mo convert mo by asking how, what, when, or who. Tapos sa 3rd sentence, I state examples.

4Th paragraph 1st sentence conclusion, then 2nd sentence recommendation.

If 2 sided naman yung intro pwede mo gamitin yung nasa template like kina Heprex na samples. Then yung 2nd par yung kabilang side, then yung 3rd paragraph yung other side. Tapos same last paragraph.

If nahihirapan ka mag construct ng idea try to research as much as possible. Google mo yung mga common or recent topics on pte writing tapos may mga sample questions dun,, then research mo ano possible answers para sa actual exam may idea kana ano isasagot. Tapos dpat familiarize mo mga connectors (like moreover, therefore, for instance, etc) kasi mas mataas ang grade kapag medyo complex ang sentence na ginagamit mo kesa simple sentences lang.

For summarize written text strategy ko is to first get ano main topic. Then analyze what important points were given, may nangyari ba? If you can answer who/what, when, how and why about the topic pwede mo na pagdugtungin yung ideas mo thru connectors and form a sentence. If you will have multiple paragraphs, summarize mo muna per paragraph then summarize mo ulit lahat in one sentence

Another tip also in writing as much as possible do not repeat the same words. If you dont have much stored knowledge about synonyms okay lang. Practice and Research is the key. Kaya malaki ang help sa akin yung pag research sa mga common or recent topics kasi while practicing pwede akong mghanap ng synonyms then mas madali ko syang ma recall sa actual exam kasi nagawa ko na sya before. Tapos if meron kayong word na ma encounter na parang hirap kayo mag elaborate, google nyo din anong synonym or phrases na pwedeng same meaning ng word. Share ko yung nilista kong mga synonyms na possible na magagamit sa mga essay kasi minsan these are the topics commonly asked.

@chococrinkle sagutan ko yung question 2 and 3 mo, yung 1 is hayaan natin mga taga SA ang sumagot.

    2. What document can my husband present or keep para he could use as his proof in the future, that he is already in Au since his day of arrival (as it will take some time pa to enrol with bills and he will stay with his cousin’s house while looking for work). Can his airline ticket or boarding pass be used?

    3. For the proof of residence in SA, phone bill lang naisip ko and health insurance. Enough na ba yun? Or what else could he prepare?
    - Anything na may address like bank statement, registration ng sasakyan, lisensya, payslips. In my case lahat kasi yang may address kaya ginamit ko sila.
