Goodluck satin.

Since we are not entitled for medicare, are you still paying the 2% levy tax? Can we opt not to pay this tax since we are not entitled by medicare? I just wanted to know how the process will be. Thank you and have a good weekend everyone!

1. Saktong 2 yrs po kayo na staying in Au when you lodged?
I lodged mine 2 years plus 1 day( Feb 15 kami dumating, Feb 16 ako nagsubmit)
2. Anu-ano pong docs ang sinubmit nyo for 887?
-Proof of living for 2 years in a regional area(bills, rental contract, etc...anything na may name ka at address.)
-Proof of 1 year fulltime work
These are the 2 major req pero just check the list on DHA website
5. Hindi ba tlga puwede lumabas mg au while waiting fir tge visa yo be processed?
- When you lodged your application, a Bridging visa A is issued. There is no travel facility for this visa. If you need to travel, apply for Bridging visa B. The bridging visa will only take effect after your 489 visa has expired, so kung di pa naman expired you can travel out of Au using the 489 visa. Better inform or ask DHA kung may plan ka to go overseas para official ang advise
6. Need pa ng medicals ulit?
-No medicals needed. Makikita mo naman sayong immi account if needed.
@GlennM pakisagot na lang yong iba :-)

Lubus-lubusin ko na po.. so kung may labas ng au c hubby (primary applicant) ng 4 weeks, iaatras lng nmin ng 4 weeks ang 887 application? Is there a residency calculator na pwede mag refer?
Nkalagay po sa DHA need ng character documents. Need po ba mag submit from the get go para mag request na kmi ng NBI? Or sasabihin nila kung kailangan?

Don sa application acknowledgment, may statement don regarding benefits, though di sinasabi directly na entitled ka ng benefits ( kasi gumamit ng word na "might"), you can apply medicare and all the benefits a PR is entitled to, except don sa may mga waiting period like newstart allowance( pag looking ka ng work, at PR na ng 2 years)..Goodluck!

Ganun na nga lang po, i atras ko na lng ng a few weeks yung application to take into consideration yung labas ni hubby and will submit nbi and other necessary outside pinas clearances. Sana nga maging eligible na rin for child care subsidy kasi magiging malaking tulong yun. May validity pa ang 489 namin for mga 11 mos from when we apply—sana lang wag abutin ng expiry bago ma grant ang 887. I-shout out ko na lang kay Lord
Salamat sa advise fgs, more power to you!

1. Since we are state sponsored, we need to inform SA about our arrival. Ive read in their website that only primary applicants should do this, since mauna si hubby, how do we inform SA of his arrival?
2. What document can my husband present or keep para he could use as his proof in the future, that he is already in Au since his day of arrival (as it will take some time pa to enrol with bills and he will stay with his cousin’s house while looking for work). Can his airline ticket or boarding pass be used? Para maitago na namin.
3. For the proof of residence in SA, phone bill lang naisip ko and health insurance. Enough na ba yun? Or what else could he prepare?
I want to prepare na the possible documents needed earlier para we dont miss out anything when we apply later. Pls let me know if there are other things we need to take note. Thanks in advance.

PTE Writing Tips
For writing essay I used E2 language format and applying what I learned from Ielts. Sa intro, sa 1st sentence ni restate ko lang yung question using my own words. Then sa 2nd sentence if one sided lang yung question, I give summary of the reasons ( 2 reasons only). Example, if ang essay is about importance of computers (one sided), eto 2nd sentence ko. Computers are valuable resources as they (1st reason) aid in learning and are (2nd reason) used to communicate with others. Then sa 3rd sentence sasabihin ko para pampahaba-- In this essay, I shall discuss my point of view by giving points and examples about the topic.
Then sa 2nd paragraph, elaborate ko na ang 1St reason. Mga 2 sentences na magsupport sa 1st reason, like if yung 1st reason ko is aid in learning, expand ko ang topic by answering how computers aid in learning, etc. Usually yung reason mo convert mo by asking how, what, when, or who. Tapos sa 3rd sentence, I state examples. Pwede ka din mag add pa ng 4th sentence parang isummarize mo lang ang 2nd paragraph.
Sa 3rd paragraph discuss naman ang 3rd reason same sa ginawa sa 2nd par.
4Th paragraph 1st sentence conclusion, then 2nd sentence recommendation.
If 2 sided naman yung intro pwede mo gamitin yung nasa template like kina Heprex na samples. Then yung 2nd par yung kabilang side, then yung 3rd paragraph yung other side. Tapos same last paragraph.
If medyo nahihirapan ka sa mga ideas, research ka dito sa forum ng mga recent topics. Tapos based dun sa topic reasearch ka anong pwedeng maging points and reasons para may idea ka na ano ilalagay mo sa essay.
Ang key talaga sa writing is dapat marami ka ideas. If nahihirapan ka mag construct ng idea try to research as much as possible. Google mo yung mga common or recent topics on pte writing tapos may mga sample questions dun,, then research mo ano possible answers para sa actual exam may idea kana ano isasagot. Tapos dpat familiarize mo mga connectors (like moreover, therefore, for instance, etc) kasi mas mataas ang grade kapag medyo complex ang sentence na ginagamit mo kesa simple sentences lang.
For summarize written text strategy ko is to first get ano main topic. Then analyze what important points were given, may nangyari ba? If meron ano ang nangyari, kelan nangyari? ano at para kanino ang purpose? Usually kasi sa mga paragraphs naka detail lang pero yung point lang naman dun is parang dinedescribe lang yung main topic. If you can answer who/what, when, how and why about the topic pwede mo na pagdugtungin yung ideas mo thru connectors and form a sentence. If you will have multiple paragraphs, summarize mo muna per paragraph then summarize mo ulit lahat in one sentence
Another tip also in writing as much as possible do not repeat the same words. If you dont have much stored knowledge about synonyms okay lang. Practice and Research is the key. Kaya malaki ang help sa akin yung pag research sa mga common or recent topics kasi while practicing pwede akong mghanap ng synonyms then mas madali ko syang ma recall sa actual exam kasi nagawa ko na sya before. Tapos if meron kayong word na ma encounter na parang hirap kayo mag elaborate, google nyo din anong synonym or phrases na pwedeng same meaning ng word. Share ko yung nilista kong mga synonyms na possible na magagamit sa mga essay kasi minsan these are the topics commonly asked.

1. Saktong 2 yrs po kayo na staying in Au when you lodged?
- 2 years and 3 months kasi inapply pa namin ng passport yung little one ko
2. Anu-ano pong docs ang sinubmit nyo for 887?
- IELTS
- Payslips
- Certificate of employments
- Proof na nag stay ako dito sa melbourne (Utility Bills, Rental Contracts)
- Valid ID's (Passport, Drivers License)
- Birth Certificates
- Police clearance (NBI, Australian Police Check)
- Form 80
3. Are you able to share good news na regarding your application at this point?
- Still waiting pa for result, status is Received pa din. Base on the website 9 to 11 months ang waiting period.
4. Gaano pa po katagal ng validity ng 489 ninyo?
- Hanggang April 2019 na lang, pero binigyan kami ng immigration ng bridging visa A para kahit ma expire na yung 489 e valid pa din kaming mag stay hanggang sa mag ka result na yung 887 application. Start date ng bridging visa A namin is day after ma expire yung 489.
5. Hindi ba tlga puwede lumabas mg au while waiting fir tge visa yo be processed?
- If na expire na yung 489 namin at nag take effect na yung bridging visa A then hindi kami pwede lumabas ng australia. If gusto namin lumabas e kaylangan mag apply ng bridging visa B.
6. Need pa ng medicals ulit?
- For my family hindi na kami hingan, pero may nabasa ako na ibang application na humingi ng medical so maybe case to case basis.
Ayan hopefully makatulong. Goodluck on your application.

- For me ang earliest proof is yung TFN letter ko since may address siya at nakapangalan sakin at yun kasi ang unang unang ginawa ko dito sa AU nung nag land ako mag apply ng TFN number. Sinama ko din yung letter na pinadala sakin nung bank na inopenan ko ng account.
3. For the proof of residence in SA, phone bill lang naisip ko and health insurance. Enough na ba yun? Or what else could he prepare?
- Anything na may address like bank statement, registration ng sasakyan, lisensya, payslips. In my case lahat kasi yang may address kaya ginamit ko sila.
