Hi. No experience po ako, and i’m currently studying conversion program ng deakin. Any advice po? Mag aral po na ulit ako? If yes, ano pong programs ang pwede? Ive heard about leadership and management, pwede po ba kaya yun? Ayoko na po kasi umuwi.

hi guys. I know it is very competitive out there with regards to experience, my chance paba ako makahanap ng work sponsorhip after BP? thanks

Pwede ka ring take nung NAATI Test.

@Cassey is it advisable to apply na po now and look for sponsors? im currently on my 1st wk of bp po. pwede na kaya? or should I wait till placement? waaahhhh
November.
@aj.skywalker pareho po tayo. I only have 65 pts. Only difference is just starting my BP this month sa ACN. Based on my few readings, few of them kumuha ng Leadership and Management.. Better kasi if onshore ka while job hunting for work sponsorship. Hay nko nakaka stress yung changes sa immigration, hope we could still get a TSS/482 sponsorship..
Incase may better na course for student VISA after registration, kindly share with us po..
Yan nga din po tinitignan ko ngayon maam, Leadership and Management, yan ata pinakamura and may payment plans eh, sa tingin ko po ah. pinag aaralan ko pa po hehe
@aj.skywalker Occupational Safety is another course that you can look into. Try to get a course na hindi masydong expensive. Submit resume to Agencies as well like Sugarman, etc.
@aj.skywalker Kung RN kana dito, why dont you try and look for a hospital na magssponsor sayo? 482 that is. That way, you can work for a year or two then plus points yun sa points tested. May iba din way yung 186 which is yung facility mo magssponsor sayo after that period. Sa mga regional nga lang most of the sponsorships, but hey, if it works. Why not.
@aj.skywalker, RN currently where? If you are in AU, as @dy3p mentioned, look for an employer na mag-sponsor. And correct din sya, na mostly ay nasa regional ang nagbibigay ng sponsorship, here in QLD, there is a hospital(s) in Brisbane who sponsored some students who graduated in QUT
@abbygailmbn Kelan ba matatapos ang conversion program mo?
While hindi naman assurance talaga pero since mas matagal ang conversion program compared to BP you have more chances to expose yourself to the work environment dyan. I suppose mas mahaba din ang clinical exposures ninyo so mas maraming opportunities to be noticed by prospective employers.
Of course you have the option to get another course/program and extend your student visa if budget is not a problem.
Pero for the meantime, assuming na matatapos mo na ang conversion this year, start sending out your CVs.

@drnc_13 If you have free time, pwede ng maghanap as early as now. Though most hospitals would prefer applicants who are AHPRA registered, you’ll never know especially if you have a good overseas experience and baka makatsamba ka rin ng hospital na in dire need of nurse/s.

@aj.skywalker how about a 489? Though provisional sya. Pwede ka pasponsor state. Try looking it up. Pwede ka magseek ng help sa agent as well. They would know more and help you kung anong pathway pwede.

Kung hindi ka makakahanap ng magsponsor sayo pwede kang magaral uli and work part time as a Nurse, that way makakagain ka ng Au experience mo. Try to take the naati test, 5points din yun.

@cucci next year pa po matatapos yung conversion ko. Kakastart ko lang po this July. Okay po thank you. Pero pwede po ba yung leadership and management? Maccount po ba sya as 2 years? Or may ibang programs pa? Kasi diba po dapat may connection siya with nursing? Thank you po talaga!

@abbygailmbn To meet this requirement, you must have completed in no less than 16 calendar months either: a single qualification requiring at least two academic years study (92weeks) more than one qualification resulting in a total period of at least two academic years study. be either a degree (a bachelor or any higher degree), a diploma, an advanced diploma, or a trade qualification

@Cassey yes po it’s a diploma. So it’s eligible pala. Yay. Thank you so much po! Thank you!
CasseyMelbourne, Australia Posts: 2,812Member, Moderator Joined: Sep 07, 2015
@abbygailmbn If it’s diploma, then you might be eligible for the points. The higher the points, the better kaya try whatever you can to increase your points. Yes, translation siya. You’re welcome,

@danjoe03 There must be a compelling reason why you cannot get COGS from the agency there. AHPRA may accept a statutory declaration/affidavit but you must have exhausted all means to be able to acquire the COGS.
I think, they are aware of the difficulty of getting COGS from gulf countries specially if you have already left but in all cases, that is dependent on the registration officer who will be handling your case.

@danjoe03 Hi! I am also working in Oman and before I use to work in a previous hospital who is not under MOH. Usually good standing you can get it from the HR and just get a supporting letter from MOH that they are not releasing the said document.
Thank you
