@lizzie86 Try to be consistent with your application as much as possible. Ang good standing di ba kinukuha yun sa Ministry of Health? Have you tried to ask your HR about it? May nabasa kasi ako somewhere na may form to be filled up na isesend sa MOH.

@Cassey opo tama po kayo na galing ministry of health but meron kelangan fill-up ang HR bago kamauha sa mismo MOH. Kahit nga explaination letter ayaw nila magbigay.

@lizzie86 Try to email AHPRA, very prompt naman sila sa pagsagot. Vital kasi ang COGS sa application.

@girmarie Extensions are a normal part of the process... they usually ask for about 2 months, more or less at least in my experience, but in just a week or two, they came up with a decision.

@Rose05081993 Let me see if I got your situation:
    1. You recently finished a course with ATQ? Is this Australian Training and Qualifications College?
    2. You are currently in Au? What is your visa status?
    3. You hope to find employment in child care/education?
    4. From there you intend to save up for BP?

If you checked job sites in Au specially the past month, there had been ads for teachers with the Sydney Catholic Schools. You may want to check their website if they are still available. I also saw ads for OSHC (Out of School Hours Care)... just can't remember if it was in Seek or Indeed. They would usually require some training in first aid and asthma related concerns for those jobs so someone with nursing training would readily fit the job.

For direct education-related, they require certification from NESA and that you have working rights in Australia. You may inquire if they are willing to sponsor a work visa for you.

    Hope this helps.

Hi everyone! I hope somebody can shed a light on this matter...so i just finished uni this july and end na ng stud visa ko next week. I have applied for another student visa just to extend my stay and have more time in processing my papers. I got an 8105 condition on my BVA, does that mean I cannot work at all while im on my bridging visa while waiting for the result of my new student visa application?

I always though mai-carry yung 40hrs/fortnight na restriction sa bva unless may result na ung bagong visang inapplyan

@diazepamie You can request for another bridging visa that would provide you work rights. But you will be requested to provide details to show that you are in a financial distress.

hello po, regarding requisition of COGS from PRC, did you let PRC send it directly to AHPRA or you were able to get the COGS with envelope, stamp and sealed then sent by you directly to AHPRA? TIA sa sasagot. I am hoping I could collect all my docs then send it as one to AHPRA since individually sealed naman po like school, ched and prc sana..

@juanne PRC usually does not send the COGS directly, what you can do is ask them to enclose the COGS in an envelop with PRC letterhead and send the document to AHPRA either by courier or registered express mail.

From experience, better send the COGS separately even if within a sealed envelop. I had to repeat the process because I made a mistake of putting them all in one envelop and AHPRA requested for another one.

@juanne from my experience naman with PRC davao last Aug2017, they (PRC Davao) sent the document themselves via DHL courier. It reached AHPRA (sydney) naman within approximately 2 weeks. Maybe it's more safer to let them send if possible basta via DHL lang para ma track mo..

@danjoe03 May mga format na sinusunod ang bawat company at wala tayong magagawa kung ayaw nilang dagdagan. Pwede naman ma-supplement gamit ang Professional Reference from a nurse supervisor, chief/head nurse or director of nursing.

I've been contemplating on the thought of getting short courses for 1 year after my bridging program.ano po marerecommend nyo na courses? may na banggit dn sakin un friend ko na pag nagenroll sya ng isa pa Conversion course tatas level ng pagiging nurse nya. Kasi nabasa ko dn may level 1,2 and so sila. Pano po ba tumataas ang level ng nurse sa Oz? is it thru experience as a nurse?or kahit 10 yrs experience ka na pero wala ka masyado continuing education eh same level ka pa dn? Hoping to enlighten me with this.

@lizzie86 This is how I understand it and I'm not sure if this is what you mean.. If were talking about registered nurses, we are usually graded year 1 to 8 (or 10 ata, not sure ilan yung max).. This is based on your experience. Experience which either the employer (if through TSS) or ANMAC (if through PR) evaluates if it's on par with the AU standards (ofcors this will also include if your past experiences with any organizations includes continuing education/programs...depende din kasi sa hospital/country..alam ko may required din hours per yr na dapat ispend for cont learning eh).. This will then determine your salary or paygrade.. For example, I know someone in Melb who has over 8 yrs RN experience in Singapore who just got offered a contract with year 8 salary as an entry RN. This is also through TSS VISA.. This doesn't increase when you do conversion or any courses after BP.. Unless if you are studying those special upgrades or nurse clinicians and hired as one then it's a different story.

Once nakapasok kana as RN, regardless of your paygrade, dyan kana mag work to level up to anything you want like Nurse Clinicians or Unit managers, educators...daming pathways..

Hope this helps. Anyone who has a better understanding of the whole Nursing Career in AU, kindly enlighten us din po :)
