@lizzie86 not all na entry level mg start. dpende din sa employer. my employer credited my 2 years volunteer exp in Ph. so start ko when they hired my Grade 2 Year 3. instead of Year 1. my other employer didnt accept mu overseas exp kasi unrelated dw ang exp so Year ako dun sa isang employer. Every time mka accumulate ka ng hours equivalent to 1 year full time, dun mah iincrease yung pay grade.

@lizzie86 I agree with @kymme. I had 8 years experience prior to entering Au and all those years were credited so I entered on level 8 of that enterprise agreement. It is the max level na before nursing supervisor if I remember correctly.

Ahh so depende pala yan sa employer.so meaning pag iba iba ang area ng experience m most likely hindi rn macredit para maging basis ng payscale mo. Another question po.

@lizzie86 Am not so sure how they rank an employee... pero per experience, yung 8 years ko 5 years dun ay ophtha/nicu and 3 years critical care.
I have no idea regarding reference letter na wala sa official letterhead.

Ma'am what if I wanted to continue my nursing career in Au but I dont have Hospital experience since I passed the Board Exam, can you suggest po what pathway I could take kasi they offered me Health and Community care package sa Lawson College which is 2.5yrs then they said after that I can take BP pero naisip ko why not to take Bachelor in Nursing directly. Please help me decide po. Thank you so much po.

@meann Inquire if they have nursing conversion... I have no idea about health and community care... nursing conversion can be 1-2 years, but mostly 1 year expensed would not be that much.
Understandably unis and their agents would usually offer a longer course.

@cucci Kasi po yung Health and Community Care po consist daw ng Certificate IV in Ageing Support & Diploma of Business pero iniisip ko po san ako kkuha ng 450 hours na experience para makapag apply sa ahpra after the course kung ayan po ang kkunin ko. It will cost 28,800 for 2 years and 5 mos daw po, willing naman sana ako mag enrol kung tamang pathway naman siya sa plan ko maging RN jan sa Australia. or better to take yung Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma of Nursing po na nabasa ko dito sa forum.

@meann From the looks of its the course is just a bit higher than caregiver, right? After the course, you may find work pero di pa rin mag lead into AHPRA registration kasi you still need to have 450 hours of nursing practice + bridging course to get registered.
May nabasa ako dito sa forum some time ago na umabot ng 30k AUD ang 1 year conversion course nya, di ko lang makita kung sino at saang part ng forum yun.
If nursing talaga ang aim mo you can have at least 2 options...
    1. work as a nurse outside Au for at least 3 months full time to get the 450 hours, then take the bridging program
    2. enrol in a nursing conversion course for 1 year and be registered with AHPRA. This would depend of course on the unis assessment of your credentials.

May nakita ako school for Feb intake 2019. I assume by that time may elegibility letter from ahpra if maipapasa ko na un requirements ko by next week. However, ano ba ang pros and cons ng 6 months na briding vs 3 months?bukod sa visa

@meann Yes, after conversion you are eligible for AHPRA registration kasi nursing graduate ka na ng Australian uni. ANMAC is for assessment toward skilled migration.

@lizzie86 Wala naman difference between 3 and 6 months bridging program in relation to AHPRA registration, as long as the program is approved by AHPRA. The list of approved schools and bridging programs can be found here.

Hello ask ko lang if ever I will pass my docs to AHPRA this September and my last working exp is last Oct 2014 pa magkakaron ba ng problema sa 5 yr na recency of practice. Kasi natatagalan na yung AHPRA sa pagreply diba?and sa ANMAC din ba magkakaproblema if ever? Thanks sa mga sasagot po..

@kishy If you submit your docs ngayong Sept, you must be able to finish the initial steps leading toward Letter of Referral and the Bridging Program by at most siguro July of 2019. I am not sure kung how strict they are with the letter of the regulation. Technically kasi, the 5th year after your last employment/practice is up to the day before your last day of work in 2019. The 450 hour practice is about 3-4 months so more or less pag submit mo ulit ng application kay AHPRA dapat may 450 hours ka na practice.
