@chenel010305 well, be open with the fact that stuff dent pathway is expensive and not a guaranteed route. As an agent, I don’t encourage my clients to opt for this based on both my professional and personal experience.

@ixangguk I’ve been very vocal about not recommending the student Visa pathway despite the fact that I did this route myself many years ago. It’s expensive and not guaranteed way to get a PR especially these days. Be mindful that businesses tend to suggest student visa as they usually get commission from the institution. I can offer such service to if I want to but I don’t for those seeking PR as end result. I find there is conflict of interest if I do such. Hence, I stay away from such service. As per your question, I would be the wrong person to ask what happens after your studies for reasons I mentioned above. If you are already dealing with an agent who’s encouraging you with this pathway, best to discuss this matter to him.

Just so you know, there is no need to be a CPA to apply for a skilled Visa. You just need to have a degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree (any discipline) and have studied the manadatory subjects. If you meet the minimum requirements, then there’s all the more no reason to study and spend so much money. All the best!

@ixangguk masyadong expensive ang pathway na kukunin mo. as I have done the student route, I really won't recommend as per the reasons above. try to do your skills assessment first and work from there.

Hello po, Ms Rhea @RheaMARN1171933 at sa ibang may idea sa case ko. pwede po ba magtanong? Ano po ang difference ng subclass 189 and 190? And ano po dun masmadaling makapasa? The same lang po ba ang process? Based sa mga nababasa ko po dito sa forum, masmataas ang score na kelangan sa 189, does that mean mas mahirap makapasa po dun? I am an Accountant but not a CPA. Bachelor degree grad so may 15pts po ako, age is 25pts, 10yrs exp outside AU 15 pts. Im aiming for superior score sa english to get 20pts (to make it 75) and I have been working as an accountant offshore with AU client for 1yr (can that give me another 5pts?) I can provide client testimony and payment bank transfer for my fee. If addt'l 5pts is granted, then I may get 80pts. Thank you po! Godbless.

    @cms0911

190 is state sponsorship. Meaning ang state na inapplyan mo ang mag iinvite sayo to apply for a visa.

Kapag kasi nag lodge ka sa EOI, may option dun if kung gusto mong magpa state sponsorship. A successful state sponsorship will give you an additional 5 pts.

    For example- under 189 - 75 points
    190 - 75 + 5 points = 80

However, may sariling criteria/requirements and SOL each state. So dapat alam mo kung anu ang requirements nila. Pero ang general requirements nila syempre di nman nagkkalayo sa 189. Check mo nalang. Hehehe...

Once maka receive ka ng invitation from a state,, magppass kamuna ng requirements sakanila. Tapos i-aasess nila ang mga claims mo. Once ok, yun na diretso na ng pag pprocess ng papers for a PR visa. Parang as if good as approved na ang PR visa based sa 190.

Kapag naman sa 189 ka, ang siste is pataasan ng scores. Once maka receive ka ng invitation to lodge a visa application, dire-diretso na yon. Unlike sa 190 na dadaan muna sa state yung mga papers/claims mo.

Another difference ng 189 vs 190 is that 190 ay may condition to live in your sponsor-state for a couple of years (2 yrs ata, not sure). Yung 189 walang conditions, anywhere in Au khit sa NZ kung gusto mo pede. Heheheh

Claims with an AU employer - No. Dapat physically present ka sa Au to claim that points.

10 years exp outside AU - Not so sure if you’ll be able to claim 15 pts. Ang alam ko e ang pag claim ng work experience is once na receive mo na ang degree and relevant dapat at hindi kung anung work lang.

EG. 2010 - start of work
    2015 - Graduated
    2018 - EOI application

Work experience - 3 years lang and not 8 yrs.

Medyo na ano lang ako na 25 ka tpos with 10 yrs work exp. so prang 15 e may degree kana. Hehehe..

Disclaimer: Subject to verification. So I suggest read and understand carefully the requirements of CPAA/CAANZ/IPA, whichever you prefer.

@cms0911 to claim 5 points for Australia experience, ang alam ko dapat sa Australia and ang employer din is sa Australia.

When u say client mo offshore, employer mo sila tapos hindi land base ang location mo?

work experience need muna I assess ng assessing body to claim points.
degree has to be assessed first by assessing body to claim points.
    age is straightforward claim.
English test - based on test results.

the higher the points the higher the chances to get an invite.

you can read sa DOHA website about difference ng 189 and 190. You can get clearer explanation sa kaibahan nila sa website.

@audreamer101 thank you po sa reply. Very informative. For 190- Need kopa din po ba magpa assess muna sa CPAA/IPA bago ako magsubmit ng EOI sa State? Ang age bracket ko po is 33-39, so I mean, I have the 25points sa age score. I graduated Bachelor in Management Accounting degree 2003 and worked as an accountant from there, now I am a CFO. Kaso hindi po kase ako CPA. But I have 8-10yrs experience in accounting field.
@batman thank you po sa reply. Very informative din po. Re: AU client - yes po, freelance offshore accountant nila ako for 1 yr na. Andito ako sa Pinas pero ako nagmamanage ng books nila pati reporting sa AU company. Online lang lahat.

Another thing po @batman @audreamer101 pwede po ba ako mag-send ng EOI for both 190 and 189? And will work from there kung saan ako makatanggap ng invite? Kase looks like mukang masmadali po makakuha ng invitation sa 190 dahil sa scoring mataas ang score ngaun na naiinvite for 189.

@cms0911 sorry about the work experience thing... hehehe.. yes, pede... you just have to tick the boxes for 189 & 190, and you can also select specific state na gusto.. and again check mo nalang ang specific requirements ng state re. sponsorship.

@pcasing talaga?! did your assessing body (CPAA/CA/IPA) specifically mention na considered as work in Au kahit offshore?

Based on here (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-independent-189/points-table), it says “in Australia”.

Better kung i-check mong mabuti.. kasi if i were you, baka mag-email ako sa assessing body or mas better the dept. of home affairs mismo (nag inquire ako dati at sumagot naman sila, so no harm in asking at para mas sure db?!) to verify kung pede ko syang i-claim na work in Au kaht offshore ako. Mahirap ng mag-overclaim ng points...and to think na ang final say pa rin ay nasa CO, so i am not also sure kung baka tlagang i-consider nya as work in Au yun. Nonetheless, its good for you then, additional points din un :)

    All the best!

@mcril22 may nakita akong Accountant sa immitracker for 80 pts with eoi lodged sept 22, invited sya last nov 11.. though hindi tayo sure kung accurate since hindi pa yata released ang official results.. with eoi lodged sept 14 at 80 pts for 189 and assuming no major change in the pace of invites, you definitely will get invited later today..
