@Pixiepie @adamwarlock tanong pala. naconsider nyo ba magpaship ng box from pinas to au? magkano kaya ang rate nitong nebulizer at steamer dun? baka mas mura kung bile na lang tayo sa au?

@Grifter sorry late response. Nope di na kami magpabox from pinas to Au (or from SG to Au), plan kasi namin is iminimize yung dadalhin para madali din magmove from 1 place to another pagdating sa Au. parusa kasi magmove ng maraming gamit based sa experience namin dito Sg, hehe. If malaking space kakainin ng nebulizer iwanan na namin and just buy there.

@maryowni09 ok naman scoot, madalas din namin gamitin yan from sg-ph and vice versa. Although syempre budget air, so don't expect the same seat space, convenience, and service as if from a full service carrier

@batman nag Jetstar ako nung unang entry ko sa Australia. May stopover sa SG then Perth. OK naman at yun kasi mura din that time at available airline to Perth. Cebupac na try ko rin nung lumipat ako sa Melbourne, via Sydney naman. pero ngayon meron na direct flight to Melb. Maluwag din cebupac so sulit din. Pero NT ka yata, so wala cebupac.

@Grifter I'm not quite sure if nebulisers are sold at The Good Guys, JB Hifi, or Harvey Norman, but I found these online websites that do. Maybe check and compare if it's better to bring what you have and just buy the medicine here (and buy extra baggage allowance), because a lot of things in Australia are much more expensive than what we're used to. If you decide to bring the nebuliser, don't forget to bring along an adapter for it (adapters here are so chunky >.< )

Hello po. Kakabasa ko lang ng posts dito. Thanks for sharing your BM experiences and tips! Extremely informative and helpful!

I'm going for IE in March. BM to Adelaide probably Aug or Sept. Question po to anyone who has experienced this... Solo ako magmo-move to AU next year. I'm still deciding if I should come from PH or SG. For now, I'm leaning towards SG. Yung excess stuff that I wouldn't be able to bring with me sa flight ko, balak ko pa-ship to AU. But since I don't have a permanent address yet, I was wondering if there are shipping/storage companies in Singapore that does that. Like I could drop my stuff there but will indicate when I'd like to have the box shipped over to AU once I've found my permanent place? Is there such a company? I'm still checking as well on my end. But if anyone knows, please advise! Thank you so much. :D

@mycroft_holmes Moved solo to Australia last year and only brought 3 bags (2x 23kg luggages + 7kg carry on). Everything else was sold or given away.

    - Passport + printout of visa
    - Phone with LTE support (since there's no more 2G in Australia)
    - Clothes especially jeans/pants (get them sized since it's expensive to cut the seams here). Mix of 1 week's worth of formal attire, casual and one suit (since I didn't know what company I'll end up in before I arrived)
    - 1 windbreaker + 1 sweater (for winter)
    - Money (wire your money to an AU bank account beforehand so it's ready when you arrive). Kept around $300 in cash during the actual flight just in case.
    - Sunglasses (required, not optional. UV index can go up to 15+. Do not underestimate the AU sun)
    - Keep a PH credit card open for emergencies
    - If you have a Spotify Premium sub, keep it active since it's way cheaper in PH (PH has the cheapest Premium prices in the world)

Scan (in A4 size) and make digital copies of these on Google Drive/OneDrive/Dropbox
    - Original IDs (birth cert, diploma, passport, driver licence)
    - Medical records vaccinations/baby books
    - Bank statements (if you earn foreign income to the ATO and need to report it)

Other things to note about before and after you arrive:
    - Address history - take note of this from the day you arrive since some forms in AU will ask for this (like applying for a lease)
    - At least 2x work references (like former managers) if you'll be applying here after arrival
    - Body stats for clothing - Chest, waist, hip, inseam, shirt size, shoe size
    - How your hair is specifically cut. Take pictures and show it to the barber/stylist.

And like I said in other threads here: drink a lot of fresh buko juice before you leave. You will never be able to taste that again unless you go back to Asia. The boxed/canned stuff here just doesn't compare.
