@bookworm hi po..thanks..sorry for the late response..nasa northside ng brisbane po ako..hanggang ngayon, wala pa ring available for me na mga business analysts or admin assistants na jobs..may tumawag na rin at nainterview na rin ako pero hindi ako nakapasa for the final round..baka wala pa talagang para sa akin..not losing hope pa rin on my second month..

to those having difficulties in finding jobs, try considering enrolling in a TAFE courses/program. You may need to shell out tuition fee for the course, once completed, certificates will be issued which will make it easier to find jobs. Somehow, TAFE will even assist in finding the jobs.

Hi guys. I had an interview today. Yung position Electrical Drafter and Planner. I enjoyed the interview kaya hopefully positive outcome. Yung result next week pa daw, probably Monday.
Its a different field from the branch of electrical engineering that I really want pero okay na din para magka local experience and for me to try new things also. Thankful pa din ako.

Yung gusto ko kasi talaga na field are sa instrumentation, automation and control systems pero ang hirap maka penetrate sa industry na to lalo na walang local experience. Maybe in the future. Pero as of now, thankful ako sa opportunity na to.

Akala ko talaga walang papansin sa resume ko, walang tatawag. I had this negative scenario on my mind. Kaya nung may tumawag sa phone ko at ang sabi galing sa company na inapplyan ko, grabe yung kaba ko. Honestly, I did not think that it would be this challenging when I was still in PH. Yung "ideal" kasi yung nasa isip ko. Scenario like I'll find a job in three weeks after landing in AU, then i'll buy a car, then a house

) ...and then I came here and reality kicks me in the face lol.

LESSON: Meron at meron pa din talagang tatawag. Apply lang talaga ng apply. Keep the faith.

I hope to have a positive outcome pero if not apply, apply, apply na lang ulit. At least nag boost ulit yung morale ko

@thatbadguy , japanese brands na PLC Bro, I am doing control design and ladder programming. Mostly stand alone kasi yong mga ginagawang machines namin. Im exposed sa DCS and RTU sa maintenance job ko na pero not that deep kasi instrumentation guys ang main owner nyan, nasa electrical ako.
Makukuha mo narin yong job na yan Bro, kapit lang.

Hello guys, ask Lang po ng opinion in terms of availing career coaching programs. Included na resume coaching, networking tips, job referral Pero sobrang expensive for me mga 2k ang fee. Not sure if worthy. Same fee din ng unpaid internship. Medyo desperate LNG to find acctng jobs for entry level roles. Usually preferred nila 1-2years experience.

Hi guys, just an update, I finally got the job! Woohooo! It took me approximately three months to have this opportunity. Sobrang thankful ako kasi nawawalan na talaga ako ng pag asa these past few weeks. Iniisip ko kung tama ba tong decision ko na pumunta dito sa AU. Everyday, rejection letter lang lagi natatanggap ko. Sobrang thankful ako kay God for this.

Lesson of the story: Apply lang ng apply talaga everyday at meron at meron ding papansin. Hang in there guys! Somewhere out there, meron talagang opportunity that is meant for you and of course, pray at all times

Hi! Just wanted to share... I'm an OFW based in Qatar. I got my PR in the Year 2016 and made initial entry around Feb 2017. Thru God's grace, I was able to secure a job while still here in Qatar. I just submitted my resignation last week and hopefully be in Melbourne by end of November 2018. LinkedIn networking is what worked for me.

Strategies I made (to be followed in sequence):
1. Updated my Linkedin profile to have keywords related to my target work. Aim to have ALL STAR level.
2. Increased my Linkedin connections to be >1000+ by connecting with professionals and decision makers (Directors, Managers, Business Owners) within my targeted industry. Tip: Personalise your message when connecting.
3. Get involved and be active on LinkedIn. Follow the LI page of your target companies, like and comment on posts of prospective Hiring Managers.

As for tips, apply ng apply wag mapili. Tailor your cover letters to every company.
Once you get your first AU job and gained some "local experience" everything else will be easier.

@fioning1120 difficult to get offer while overseas. Although if you have a good skill sets and experience, Its easy to land a job. I found a job on my 3rd day.
