Hi to all,
Ask ko lang po kung anong first step for skilled independent visa. I'm currently working in DUBAI, UAE for 2years. at my experience din ako sa Philippines for 5years civil engineer po ako dito at nagwowork for QS-civil engineer.
Sana po matulungan niyo. kung anong gagawin ko for the first step and mga documents na kaylangan. at wala din po akong relatives sa australia. Gusto ko po kasing magtry for australia .

@cristy First step is to read the DHA website to familiarize yourself with the skilled immigrant visa options and the minimum requirements. Tapos check which assessment authority performs skills assessment for your occupation. For engineers I think it's Engineers Australia. Tapos go to EA's website to check what their assessment process and requirements are.

You need a positive skills assessment, passing English exam results, and at least 65 points to submit an EOI. Pero pag mas mataas ang points, mas mataas ang chance na maiinvite agad.

Pwde na po bang maglodge Ng visa while waiting for police clearance from Middle East, 2 weeks pa po kasi... pwde to follow na Lang po yun?

@imau medyo tricky siya hanapin sa homeaffairs kasi hindi direct to the point based sa pagkakaalala ko, pero nandiyan yan somewhere. I'll try and search. Then sa forms, we only submitted form 80. Some nagsubmit din ng 1221 though.

@lecia, yes po. Try to analyze yung trend ng grants ngayon, if tingin mo pasok ung 2 weeks waiting period, go na.

We lodged without medicals noon, I think 1 week din bago namin nakuha.

@lecia hindi mababago ang date ng application mo. As soon as you paid the fee, start na yun regardless sa additional documents.

Sa case namin, a week before grant, nagsubmit pa kami ng kumpletong payslips ni hubby.

@lecia sis worthwhile to mention ko din na if mag attach ka ng docs after lodging, di na sya pede ma delete - kaya extra careful lang in double checking na you attached the correct document

@lecia like mentioned by @ms_ane, careful sa pag-attach. Tapos try mo rin gamitin yung terms na ginagamit nila for each document, minsan naooverlook kasi iba ang tawag natin sa document like diploma, we made it Degree Certificate. It really depends kasi, as long as comfortable ka sa kung ano at paano mo ipapasa, I guess.

@lecia after payment - mag marked as submitted/ lodge na yun sayo tapos yung option to attach documents e nandun lang din sa application. Don’t worry sure yan na makakapag attach ka after lodging - madami kaming magpapatunay

in terms of diskarte when attaching, create ka ng checklist para sure ka na nai attach mo lahat.
ako mga ilang checking and validation din ang ginawa ko (paranoid lang) para ma ensure na nai attach ko ang file.

need din po ba isama upload ang form 1221? paano nyo po eto nasagot? pwde handwriting tas scan na lang po?

@treasure1109 sa site may forms na up to date - to make sure na di luma ang iyong magamit - kasi sayang naman kung mag ulitan

form 1221 - yung iba e nag aattached, yung iba hindi

kaya up to you nalang din.

the forms can be filled out electronically - mas easier and siguradong readable. you can electronically sign din, or print then sign then scan.

use small pdf.com to merge/sign/compress your pdf forms.

@lecia add ko sa tip, may maximum number of files na pwede iattach per person so utilize mo ang bawat document na iaattach mo. 60 docs kung tama ako ng alala.

@imau chances are pag tumawag ka or email, ang sasabihin lang din sa iyo is to wait.. or ibibigay nila reason for the delay (nasama sa audit, etc).
so for now, best is to wait. nakakainip - pero no choice. It’s up to you if mas kampante ka to load all documents before lodging or you can lodge na then to follow nalang yung scanned copy ng CEMI.

I am having this scenario now, me and my partner has a current application for visa 189 and we lodged our visa on January 26.

Now, my partner is planned to be deployed to Australia by his company.

Ang question ko po, would it affect our visa 189 application if the company plans to get 457 visa or business visa?

Hope some can answer my question. Thank you po.
