@FearFactory_17 sa akin masasabi ko na 90% na. Kasi lahat ng claimed points ko well and correctly supported naman so wala ako worry doon. Nag worry ako dati sa medical kasi naka maintenance ako for hypertension, uric acid at cholesterol. According sa agent per their experience hindi nmn yun issue, which eventually was no issue nga.

All we need is to support or justify whatever we mentioned sa EOI right. As long na legit lahat and supported by docs., there'll be no issue.

I guess sa medical test, ang ina avoid nila ay yung mga infectious diseases like TB, HIV, etc. , obviously para ndi magkaron ng health risk ang Aussie residents.

Pero i'd like to ask, when you submitted your medical report especially the lab tests, were they all normal naman (uric acid, cholesterol etc.)?

@FearFactory_17 i just declared the current medication ko. And the medical didn't cover those test for HB, uric or cholesterol.

@pinkoctober yes depende sa State and sa nominated job mo. Sa South Au possible naman yun kask as long as may positive assessment ka for your nominated occupation like ACS for example, plus the other usual requirements.

Try to explore din yung State Sponsored na 489. Mas malaki chance na mainvite ka dun kesa sa 489 Family. Merong 263111 State Sponsored 489 sa New South Wales sa Far South Coast at Southern Inland if i recall it correctly. Pwede mo din abangan mag refresh yung occupation lists ng iba pang mga states while processing your other requirements such as ACS and english exam. It will take you few months to settle those anyway. Baka by that time 25 yrs old ka na, so that’s additional 5points as well.

@aj.skywalker NO. You are not allowed to work in other regional areas. There are people na na cancel ang visas because of this. It was in the news.

Naalala ko bigla yung thread na ito. Binabasa ko ito nung bagung-bago pa lang ito and nagsisimula palang ako mag-apply for 489 state sponsorship. Ngayon malapit nang maabolish ang 489 pero buti nakinig ako sa mga nagshare dito at nakakuha ako bago ito mawala.

I agree with you @maguero. The trick is to get in lang talaga. Kami rin ng husband ko kahit 489 nalang ang option, grab lang ng grab kahit konting window nalang ng opportunity. Wala naman mawawala kung susubukan diba? After all, pag nandoon na, gagawin mo parin lahat to succeed

@bbtot Tama ka dyan, wala naman mawawala and in fact pag nakuha mo yung 489 visa magkakaroon ka ng guaranteed pathway to PR. Darating na rin yan. Ang importante nakapaglodge na ng visa application and grant na lang ang inaantay nyo.

489 visa will be replaced with 491 visa. Major changes are: 1. More points awarded for state sponsorship 2. Extra points for spouse with competent english 3. Extra points for single applicants 4. Apply for PR visa 191 after 3 years and required to have earned a minimum amount every year( amount wasnt mentioned in the budget)

@maguero correct ka dyan, may possibility kasi na if my plan na sila iabolish possible na ilimit na na nila yun invites for 489 kasi may awaiting new rules na for November. sana wla ng major changes ngaun july.

@bbtot Dito sa forum parang once lang ako may nabasa na hindi na-grant yung visa and it was because may mali sya sa application form, related to work. Yung iba may CO contact pero as long as nasusubmit naman yung hinihingi ng CO eventually naggrant din ang visa.

@groovez10 @fgs applicable po ba yung additional points kapag single sa 190 and 189? Parang pagkakaintindi ko po parang mas advantageous yung points kung 491 visa yung kukunin. :-/

@groovez10 @MLBS I see. Salamat mga bro sa insights. Been thinking sa possible steps na pde kong gawin ksi 60 points sarado ako ngayon included na PTE superior. Nag struggle ako sa PTE to get superior score kaya ngayong nkuha ko na ayaw ko ma expire yun at hndi makakuha ng ITA.

@Supersaiyan Tama sila, lahat naman ng active EOIs affected ng upcoming changes so wag siguro masyado aasa dito. Lalo na't may upcoming elections doon which may still change things. Since 60 lang yung points mo baka gusto mo rin iconsider mag-apply for state sponsorship sa states na nagbibigay ng ITA on a first come, first serve basis. Meron kasing areas na pataasan pa rin ng points yung pag-invite nila unless hindi common yung occupation mo. Beyond your control yung points ng ibang tao sa pool and your nominated occupation is already what it is, right now. At least dun sa first come, first serve mas may control ka dahil nasa sa iyo naman kung kailan ka magssubmit ng application. That's a strategy you might want to consider kung yung occupation mo ay nasa list naman nung mga states.

@Supersaiyan, I agree with @maguero. Si hubby kasi 60pts lang din pero kinonsider namin mag-Regional to get the additional 10pts. Ayun, na-invite naman kami. Last straw na namin ang regional kung tutuusin bec of his age pero grab lang kami ng grab. Opportunity knocks only once

@bbtot @maguero thanks po. Yup. Nagpasa na dn po ako ng EOI for 190. Mejo nakakalungkot lang dahil nababasa ko sa thread na kahit 489 visa nsa 90 points na bago mainvite lalo kung prorated nom occ. Sna bumalik sa 60 points pagdating ng bagong FY. For now, nagfofocus ako for job hunting since na redundant ako sa work. Need ko ng additional 5 months work xp para maka claim ng additional 5 points sa EOI for work xp.

@Supersaiyan There 2 kinds of 489 visa. May family-sponsored and may state-sponsored. Konti lang slots for family-sponsored, 10 per invitation round, kaya mataas yung required points. Mga 85-90. Pero pag state-sponsored may naiinvite na 65 points kasama yung +10 from state sponsorship. Depende lang sa state and sa occupation.
