@a9entk Your spouse and dependents need to be included in the nomination/sponsorship form if you intend them to follow later on. Payment will be required when you lodge the visa application for them.

    Good day to all.

Need advice and info. I am currently working in Saudi Arabia and was offered a Job in Sydney. Company is willing to sponsor me via 482. I was already introduced to an agent to help with the process and at the moment nag post pa lang sila for LMT (currently on its second week palang). I am planning to bring along (or come at a later date) my family (wife and 2 kids).

    1. Mas advisable po ba na sabay sabay na kami mag punta, I was thinking kasi na sunod nalang sila after 6 months or at least before the school starts. If ever possible ba na hindi muna sila kasama but I will include them already when I lodge the application.

    2. May mga nabasa po ako about some complications to obtain an OEC to exit the country so I am planning to maybe travel directly from Saudi. If this is the case, paano po kung magbakasyon ako sa Pinas? Will I be required for an OEC just the same?

    3. Magbabakasyon po kami ng Pinas this May and plan is hindi na po babalik ng Saudi ang family ko, magkaroon kaya ng complications during the process kung ako ay nasa Saudi and family will be in Philippines.

    4. Anyone here na nagprocess from Saudi Arabia? Ano po ang mga requirements na hiningi so I can start preparing na din. Saka pano po ba naging process ng Medical? Meron po ba mga accredited clinics or hospital here in Saudi?

Sorry madami tanong, maraming salamat po sa lahat ng tutugon.

@a9entk No need for DFA authentication or red ribbon... although some agencies like skill assessing bodies may require that documents are "certified true copies" by a notary public... Home Affairs require that you attach high quality scanned documents and images to facilitate processing of the application.

    1. As long as included sila sa sponsorship/nomination ng employer, you can apply a "subsequent entrant" visa for them later on.
    2. You will be required an OEC if you go back to the Phil with a 482 visa. But this is not a problem as you can easily apply for authentication of contract and be issued an OEC with the Phil Embassy - Canberra.
    3. There should be no issue
    4. Be sure to have Police clearance, employment certificates, payslips, etc... other documentary requirements are found here.

    Hi @cucci . Thanks a lot.

    Follow up/clarication po for #1.

A "subsequent entrant" ba is another process, meaning I have to be granted a visa first then I'll apply for them? Or it can be a parallel process along with mine?

Also, is there an expiration or "used by" date from the time the visa is approved. In my case kasi, ang plan ko is to tender my resignation from my current company after Visa is granted so it means that I can come to AU by minimum after two months.

@jayr.cruz Basically subsequent entrant means that during the initial process of nomination they have been included in the application but the actual visa application is delayed for some reason. Usually to allow the main applicant time to settle down and prepare for the arrival of his/her family unit. I think this is to avoid the more tedious process of applying for a partner/spouse visa and child visas for your kids later on. Essentially their visa is "approved-in-principle" subject of course to compliance with documentation and other requirements.

Also this is to avoid having to pay for all the visa fees and then be subject a bad situation like the main applicants application is denied. Bear in mind that visa fees are refundable only in very few instances.

Once approved, your visa is valid for the duration it was granted unless repealed or made null and void by circumstances such as loss of sponsorship (i.e. resigned or terminated from work) but you will be given around 2 months to find a new sponsor.

@jayr.cruz subsequent entrant is another process so that means you should have been granted TSS VISA already before you can apply for them (as long as included sila when the employer submitted their nomination)..

Or it can be a parallel process along with mine? - take note that you may include your dependents together with your TSS application. If you do this, then NO need to apply for subsequent entry. Kaso lang, there is a fee per dependent so you need to pay them..

subsequent entry is usually for people na planning to have their dependents follow them at a later time.. especially that each dependent have a fee as well. We have the same situation, my husband will follow me here in QLD this end of Sept, so Im planning to apply for subsequent 1st week of sept (few weeks ago I have friend applied for subsequent for her dependents and it only took 2 weeks)..

as for your 2nd question: there is no "used by" expiry. Once your VISA is granted, it will indicate the grant and expiry date depende kung how many years granted sayo. You can negotiate wd employer when you actually start work. In my case, I also took almost 2 mos before starting work from the time my VISA was granted..

@LovellaEllen Thanks for all the clarification. Additional question po - If I include the family along with my TSS application, do we have to arrive also in AU at the same time or they can follow do so after few months? (I plan to do this para one time payment nalang from my sponsor rather than asking them for the payment later because they will shoulder the fees).

    As @SAP_Consultant has said...

Even in the case that your partner has dual citizenship, OEC is required only from the primary applicant and not to dependents/subsequent entrants to exit from the Philippines.

Hi @tristan14, I guess it's easier if you find an employer that will sponsor your visa. Another pathway is for you to apply directly for a permanent residency. However, you need to have your skill assessed by an authorized body, depending on your expertise for additional points.

@tristan14 Frankly speaking, hindi ganun kadali maghanap ng sponsor or even maghanap ng jobs kahit onshore. Kaya madami ang ginagawang pathway is mag student visa. Pwede ka rin naman mag apply directly ng PR. Look Skilled-Independent na threads sa forum na to. You can try seek.com or other job sites to look for jobs.

@GeraldineValeriano sorry but nobody knows. Visa processing time is always on a case-to-case basis. You can benchmark based on @LovellaEllen's friend but don't expect too much that it will apply to you.
