General Skilled Immigration Visa - Step By Step Process

Hi, good day! I'm new here but a lurker since a month ago. I just want to ask or clarify for the 189 visa where you can claim points for your spouse. This is the scenario:

My husband is an ECE and i'm a nurse, both of us are under 33y.o. we are about to take the english exam. He is the primary applicant.

In order for him get additional points from me, i need to at least have a competent english exam (+5points), right?
How can he claim another 5points from me for the "positive skill assessment"? Do i need to have a separate assessment from the nursing assessment body? (Im really confused on this part)

I would suggest na ikaw ang mag primary applicant. More than 10,000 ang quota for skilled nurses every year. Kahit na naghihigpit ang Australia sa migration, mataas ang demand at need nang nurses dahil ageing population ang country na ito.

Noon, may choice ang nurses to either take 1-2 years conversion program (Bachelors) or 3 month bridging program para maging licensed Australian nurse (ANMAC) then afterwards, you’ll get the AHPRA Skills Assessment. Madali din ma sponsor sa hospitals lalo na sa regional areas (depende din sa specialisation mo pala)

May OBA na iniintroduce ngayon, explore mo yung option na yun. For now, Step 1 is mag take ka nang OET or PTE. Need mo maka score ata na 7 (ielts equivalent convert mo nalang) sa lahat ng modules as minimum.

On the other hand, less expense (i would assume) sa ECE kasi they would need to submit a CDR (competency report) to get Skills assessment from Engineers Australia, sa tingin ko mataas ang competition para magkaron ng invitation unless high pointers kayo.

Hi, everyone!

If ever bah, nagrerefund bah sila ng visa fee if i-withdraw? It just crossed my mind na to consider state sponsorship kasi halos lahat focus ng DHA lately is sa regional areas. Marami pa sa 189, some even lodged 2018 pa, and still waiting for their grants while my mate got his grant after 2 months lang (190).

Yes, ma-claim mo sya. 189 ka ba? But I guess it's the same rule for other visa subclasses.

The thing is, i don't have a 2-3years bedside/hospital experience as a nurse. Though i can explore the the OBA option, i dont think i still have the skills or the confidence to practice nursing in a hospital setting unless mag refresher ako. Kaya si hubby po ung primary kasi at least 8years experience niya sa field niya. So, 5 points lng tlga macclaim namin for spouse with competent kung siya ung primary? Tama po ba? Is 80-85 points a high pointer for 189? Or not anymore with the new scoring?

Lahat po ng visa subclass nilodge namin, 189,190, 491. Hindi kasi pasok ang course ng wife ko sa occupation list. Well mas ok un makktulong si wife sakin to add 5 points. Hinahabol ko kasi ung 85 points sa 189 baka makachamba pa. Thanks!

Hi po, na receive ko po ngayon ang ITA for sc190... offshore po ako ngayon.. plan ko po sana bumalik ng australia as tourist visa then doon na ako maglodge ng visa 190 ko para maka bridging visa din ako, para naman may full working rights while waiting po..... sa tingin niyo po ma grant kaya tourist visa ko if ever??? Currently wala po akong trabaho.. and takot ako baka ma refuse visa ko... any advise po? Thanks

I see, check mo yung iscah.com prediction, kung kilan estimate nang invite for 189. Explore your options din sa regional area given na marami na pala syang experience good luck!

Good evening to all. Mag ask nga po ako sa mga nagpalit or nag renew ng passport after ng grant. Double check ko lang, sa immi account tapos "update passport" details ano? Mag email ba yan sila? mag update ba sila ng grant letter with new passport details ko?

Ginagawa ko na ngayon tas sabi ni husband, wag mo update..hahaha when in doubt, ask pinoyau..

d na sila nagrere issue ng grant letter, however sa vevo makikita mo na nagpalit na ng passport.

you can print your vevo at yan gamitin mo s entry mo...

or if your still worried, print the original grant letter, the vevo, then bring the old and the new passport para walang hassle...

May 85 points ako and I was just wondering if need ko pa ba mas mataas na points para mapabilis yung ITA ko or may ITA agad ako since family sponsored naman ako at hindi state sponsored?

Hello po lahat, good day. makiki istorbo po sana. I received CO contact just last Friday asking for my Japan PCC. Japan PCC will take almost 1-2mos to receive. Ung palugit lang ng CO ay 28 days. Sabi naman ng Japan Embassy they will be giving receipt stating na it will take max 2 mos to release PCC. Tanong ko lang po sana baka someone has similar case:

1) Ano po ang best action need gawin? Since lalagpas sa 28 days before ko po maproduce ang Japan PCC?

2) I plan to attach receipt from Japan Embassy with Cover letter. Shall I attach this to my immiaccount under "Others" or “Character” Category ?

3) nabasa ko kasi na hindi sila nag-acknowledge ng email or attachment sa immiaccount so ang worry ko kasi is how will they know na hindi ko kaya maproduce ung document in 28days?
*
4) nabasa ko din sa thread, others are sending feedback mga 2 weeks after they submit their document. Sa case ko ba na receipt with cover letter palang ang mai-attach ko sa immiaccount, do I need to send feedback?
*
5) ok lang ba na mag feedback and email nalang ako sa CO once na-attach ko na ung Japan PCC sa immiaccount?

6) sa bottom part po ng immiaccount sa attachment page may nakalagay na "I confirm I have provided information information as requested". in my case po ba since receipt palang ang i-aattach ko, do in need to click this? Or click ko nalang ung button pag ung Japan PCC na ung mai-attach ko. tama ba understanding ko?

You can just ask for extension and explain in a cover letter the reason why. Provide the receipt too. As long as reasonable it should be fine. We’ve asked extensions many times with our cases. Ang importante you made contact within that 28 day period.

Hi! May nakaexperience na bang umalis and nakabalik using your current bridging visa B? Nalito lang ako sa "must not arrive date" pero multiple entries naman kasi siya. Or do I have to apply for another bridging visa B for it?

I recently lodged my EOI for visa 189 all DIY. To take advantage of the nov 16 additional 10pts for single applicants to claim 80pts.
I stated my relationship status as "never married" which is true but my partner and I are expecting our 1st child this Jan 2020 and now applying for marriage license. We are planning to get civil wed after the ITA(if fortunate) to not affect the claimed points. Ive read that it is more practical to include her in the Initial application as dpendent.
Would this affect my visa application?
Is it better to get married after the ITA or Visa grant?
Can I bring my partner/child along with me even though I initially stated that I am never married?
If i change the nver married status to engaged status would my DOE be queued again at the bottom list?

hello po sa lahat. I just finished processing my Japan PCC due to CO contact. I've read from this forum at sabi din ng manong guard sa Japan Embassy na ung Japan PCC is naka sealed. Accdg sa thread, they emailed their CO and ask if ok to open before they open the Japan PCC, scan, then attach to immiaccount. Kaso po sa case ko ung instruction ng CO is to attach it to immiaccount and don't send email to them. Pano ko po kaya maitatanong kung pwede ko ba maiopen ung sealed PCC since bawal sila i-email? kung i-aattach ko naman ung inquiry ko sa immiaccount not sure po kasi ako kung magrereply si CO dun.
