Agree naman dito, parati naman may exception to the rule. well i guess ako based on my personal experience, i tried to reinvent myself, nahirapan ako mag hanap ng job. nung naka hanap ako, pay wasnt what i expected. nag tiwala ako sa resume ko and experience ko. I got a job an inline to what i have been doing ever since. I am happier now. Parati naman may exception sa rule. Parati naman may success story at the same time parati naman may unsuccessful story. I am basing my opinion on my experience and no one else.
Pero yeah, back to the topic. If you can afford it, mag agent ka. If you cannot afford it, find a way to get that money and mag agent ka. Tiwala ka sa professional.

back to the topic,
if hndi ka maswerte sa budget, not complicated case, daanin sa tyaga at research, so you can DIY.
if hndi complicated ang case mo, almost all answers are here, but you need to be really determined.

walang magawa sa office, sagot lang ulit ako dito . to keep it simple, DIY, oras ang investment mo. Agent, basically pera. So it depends sa yo. Ako agent ako para i could still have time with my family and work. in case hindi maka lusot, hindi nag suffer work ko. physically and emotionally, ang hirap ng application process. nag agent ako, napagod pa din ako physically and emotionally. what more if nag DIY ako. mas ok talaga na may tutulong sa yo. at the same time, since bayad yung tao na yun, wala ka din naman utang na loob sa kanya. it is always better to get help from a professional. sa mga nag DIY, bilib ako sa inyong lahat. you might say it is easy, pero bilib ako sa inyo. lalo na yung mga nag apply the last 2yrs.

sa DIY, in 1 day, hindi ka naman mag spent ng significant time researching (given na hindi complicated ang case). in my experience, i was able to read on my free time in SG. if determinado at walang budget, makakahanap ka paraan hehehe
diy or with agent, ikaw rin nmn ang gagawa/kukuha ng requirements ng skills assessment mo, example sa EA skills assessment, ikaw naman ang magsusulat ng CDR mo at i think rereview lng ng agent.. ikaw rin naman ang magrereview ng ielts or PTE exam mo, ikaw mag assikaso ng pagkuha ng documents mo like employment docs, passport, birth cert, nbi clearance (unless agent will do this for you) afaik, agent will just check if complete ang docs mo.
if naintindihan mo ang process, which is kaya tlgang gawin, naitatawid mo itong proseso na to.
again, i only recommend this if limited budget ka at hindi complicated ang case mo.

for me kasi, like coe eh, may sample sila na format. eoi, sila na gumawa. documents na kailangan, sila may alam. from my ITA to grant, one month lang ako. i don't think kaya ko yun ng DIY. plus eto sa circle ko lang ha, wala pa ko kilala na nag agent na na deny. marami pa ko kilala na nag DIY, wiating pa din sila. yung iba nag student kahit may path naman na direcho PR. i mean it is really up to you, pero ako, i don't regret getting and paying an agent. I do not think complicated yung case ko. ako nag pte, ako kumuha ng coe, itr, at pay slips. binigay ko sa kanila yun kasama passport and other documents then bahala na sila. nag apply ako TV for my parents, ang hirap ng documentation. nag apply ako citizenship at birth certificate para sa anak ko, ang hirap ng documentation. i could just imagine yung sa PR visa. yung kaba ng mga nag DIY if complete ba documents nila, tama ba documents na pinasa nila. tama ba pinili nila na choices sa IMMI. i guess to conclude, there are times when the end justifies the means. since sa circle ko, lahat ng tinanggap ng agent 100 percent success rate sa PR visa, i highly encourage to get an agent.

It's best to be neutral. Don't just strongly recommend getting an agent just because it worked for you and your friends. Let me state this clearly, having an agent doesn't increase your chances of getting an invite. Also, lahat ng mga so-called challenges of doing it yourself, it's not easy but certainly, it's doable. If kaya nila im sure kaya nyo din.. All the documents/formats for EOI or sa assessment part na sabi mas ok if may agent kasi cla na bahala, lahat nyan makita mo lang online or dito sa forum. The most important thing is to increase your points and no one can help you with that other than yourself.
It all goes down sa situation mo. Do you have the time and focus to do your own research? then assess and re-access yourself, if ur sure na and kaya then do DIY. If you think hindi then get an agent/agency.
But fact is, getting an agent/agency is never better than DIY. They'r both the same in terms if your gonna be successful or not. It's more on the person if willing, kaya and if may time to do DIY.

It we look at the probability kasi, in terms of the success rate ha. I’m sure Mas mataas success rate ng agent. If budget is not an issue, let us say money is not a factor, would people still recommend DIY ba? I think Yung question Lang naman sa agent is if sulit or not. But better chances, higher success rate, it might not even be close.

Pati thread is an agent or diy, I think being neutral does not help. We can all disagree which is better. Pero para sa taong namimili kung mag agent or diy, all of our opinions will help that person. Being neutral does not help anyone. Anyway, last take ko na dito. If you are reading this, I assume one, your are decided na mag au. And two, may pang bayad ka ng agent. Kasi if wala, it’s not an agent or diy, it’s wag tumuloy or diy. This is my conclusion ha. My personal opinion alone. All arguments are debatable and refutable. One thing we can agree, numbers are irrefutable. So I suggest, read around this forum. Check with your friends. Get the probability. Dun mo compare Ang numbers and dun mo lang malalaman Ano yung better success rate. Good luck sa inyo. I really wish for the best sa lahat ng tao dito. Sana lahat ng sumusubok kumuha ng visa/citizenship makakuha.

Hehe oks. Just get the numbers at least black and white yun. Not sure if nag palit na. Good exchange though of conversation hehe. Thanks sa convo

haha may connection ka ata sa agency eh.. you cant say get the numbers and just based it on your personal experience.. DIY kami lahat kakilala ko, nursing or IT field and all are successful.. There's no numbers out there proving mas maraming successful sa agency other than our own experiences.. that's why in the beginning I'm neutral.. I said pareho lang yung DIY and agency.. I'm NOT pushing to go for DIY, all i'm saying is it all goes down if the person is willing, kaya and if may time to do DIY. I let them decide for themselves..

Atleast diba I dont strongly recommend DIY.. we should just present the facts then let "them" decide.. We cant say one is better than the other especially if our data/numbers is only from personal experiences..

Honestly wala. I don't get any cut from the agent/agency that helped me. Kahit referral fee wala. Kaya nga i said, they should look at the numbers themselves. I was there once, i meddled with the idea if may DIY or agent. I guess based on my research and opinions on both sides, i decided mag agent. All i can give is my personal experience, just like you are giving your personal experience diba. At least they can see both sides. But yeah, if anyone asks me, I will push for an agent. It would be in my opinion, no basis for me to push for something na i did not do. On a side note, congrats to your circle, 100 percent kayo. if the person looks really hard, which i think i did ha, they should find a certain number or percentage to see which would favor them. I am not even promoting my agency ha. I am promoting all legit and licensed agencies. Since for me, madami din sila natulungan, i do wish for all of these agencies to stay and be successful. Again wala akong cut, wala akong kaibigan na agent. yung agent na tumulong sa akin, even if i refer him and his agency, hindi ko na friend ngayon. it was a business relationship. strictly professional

Haha I find that hard to believe. The thing is you cannot just say get the numbers and then just present the numbers out of your own experiences.. Statistically, its not even valid.. Same goes to me, I cant push DIY based sa success rate ng circle of friends ko or even from @Captain_A or @carlosau ... All Im saying is:
1. DIY is definitely doable but will require a lot of focus, determination and time
2. having agency will not increase your chances of getting an ITA
3. Im not pushing for DIY, I let them decide for themselves

Statistically you have to make your own stats eh. Like for you, 100 percent yung stats mo diba. valid yung for you. If you do not believe me, then that is fine. Wala naman bearing na sa atin to since andito na tayong lahat. This is for those deciding kung mag DIY or not. Yeah my numbers are based on my personal experience and my personal research nung time na i was deciding kung mag agent ako or not. I would not even there research more since tapos na ko diyan. So my basis for my opinion is yung dinaan ko. I guess lahat naman ng tao sa forum na to, opinions nila kahit sa PTE or pag hanap ng trabaho, based sa personal experience nila. So on your point;
1. Agree with this. DIY is doable and will require a lot of focues, determination and time. Agent, will require the same amount of determination. Agent will not require the same amount of focus and time. But it will require more amount of money. Again if the person is checking this thread, money should not be a factor anymore. if you are playing around with the idea of getting an agent, dapat given na na may pambayad ka. so for me, determination is a tie, time and focus, advantage agent.
2. having an agent will not increase your chances of getting an ITA. agree
3. I may be speaking highly of getting an agent, dhail yun yung topic eh. Get an agent or DIY. But of course, the final decision will be on the person deciding. There is nothing anyone can do to convince that person which way to go.
So in my conclusion, since time and focus mas kaunti kailangan mo with an agent, i would suggest an agent. last comment na ko, hopefully nakatulong ako sa mga mag dedecide mag agent. hopefully naka tulong din ako sa mag dedecide na hindi mag agent kasi yung points ko hindi valid at mali ako. either way, sana lahat kayo makakuha ng visa. sa mga madedeny whether nag agent or not, being denied that visa is not the end of the world. ganyan lang talaga basta ang important is sumubok ka. and yung path na kukunin mo is for your own decision is the best path and would again in your own opinion increase your chances of getting the life that you want. peace everyone. Feel free din to put in your last words para sa akin if meron pa

I think everyone here shared their two cents. No one's right or wrong. It is now up to the reader what pathway to choose. And before choosing, the first question they should consider is "When?" Meaning when to apply or when to start the process. Crazy things are happening at the moment because of this COVID19 virus. The current pandemic situation might affect the visa process???

Also had an agent as well, share ko lang din experience ko, not promoting anyone. Case to case basis pa rin syempre depending sa qualifications, type of visa and points.
It took me around 4 months processing starting sa pag review ng PTE, take ng PTE, validate ng experience, EOI submission, getting an invite, until makapaglodge ng visa application. Yung visa processing lang nagpatagal which is 10 months. If hindi ako nag hire ng agent, I'm sure it will take longer than that since I need to review, ask, check all the process and requirements. They will constantly nag and remind you to complete all the requirements, and also borderline na yung age ko sa points so kailangan makakuwa ng invite the soonest. They will proof-read your CDR para sa EA, make sure na tama yung format and contents, they will get all the required documents. For short, lesser chance of having a mistake, and less hassle. I paid extra but sulit sya para sa kin.
Now if you have time, and mejo tight sa budget. You can still get your visa by DIY. All the information needed is nandito na sa forum. Basta your have the right qualifications, and mag focus ka. You'll get there.
Peace everyone. Godbless.

This is absolutely true! We cannot disregard the benefit of getting an agent , hindi po ako nag ppropromote rin, but like example ni @robinsyreyes , imagine the time for info gathering na dadanasin mo. sa case ko na malapit nako mawalang ng points sa Age, it might take me more time bago maintindihan ang mga bagong riles and need ko gawin, especially sa mga old companies ko.
Again case to case basis. If you have spare $ to spend , I would use it to get an agent. pero hindi rin naman requirement so you have the choice to DIY it but be very careful kasi maraming horror stories about rejection, mas laking lost from info gathering, PTE, money, etc . For DIY, I urger you to use proper reference, wag po puro social media daming fake info.

Nagdalawang isip din kami whether to get an agent or DIY. Money is a minor issue bec we are both working here in SG. It's more of whether is it necessary or not kasi ang first hand info namin is from a successful DIYer. He provided me a list of the necessary docs (which you can get online or even from the forumers here, just ask) and walked us through it at talagang doable naman sya. So I started to read abt IELTS, MSA guidelines para sa CDR at yung visa 189,190 requirements.
So when we say hindi complicated ang situation:
1) We have enough work experience na we can provide supporting docs like ITR, payslips, SSS, Pag-ibig, employment endorsement, COE and most importantly, relevant sa ME.
2) We have enough points
3) We have enough docs to prove our relationship
4) We have never been denied any visa previously
5) We don't have any criminal records
6) We are healthy
The criteria might be more than the above, but if any of these basics ang complicated on your case, it would be best to get a professional guidance.
In our case, walang nagcheck ng CDRs namin, confident ako sa sinulat ko since nabasa ko yung guidelines cover to cover ng more than 5times, ninamnam ko, pinasok ko sa sistema ko. Dito na yung "if the person is willing" as for me na outdoorsy, I did a little sacrifice by staying indoors during weekends to do my CDR and research for this migration process.
Overall (naks pang PTE 😅), nagamit ko pareho. Nagthorough reading ako bago ako kumuha ng professional advice. Then DIY na all the way. Pero I happened to be sponsored by our AU branch and they hired an agent to process the visa. Nagulat si Australian agent that I have all the necessary files agad and as of writing, the agent has checked and verified that our docs are valid and sufficient for the visa application. I suggest to maximize your resources and gauge kung hanggang saan yung capacity mo to sacrifice, understand and to pay. Everything about the visa process can be found online, there is nothing hidden that only agents would know. The info is disseminated to all, it's up to you if you are willing to DIY, otherwise, get a professional to do it.
Yun po, sana makatulong sa pagdecide. God bless po sa journey nating lahat!

I'm not against sa mga may agent. Same kame ng plan. pati work sa SG. so nagdecide kme na magtulungan from start to finish. nagstart kme by gathering all the infos needed. Nagnotes kme at may mga sariling assignment. siempre trust lng tlga. It took us mga 2 months sa pagcomplete ng requirements. Bawat galaw nmin calculated ksma na lodging and etc.
As in malaki. So ayun. Finally nagmeet up n kme in person hahaha. Good luck sainyo.

Thanks for all the inputs. They are all helpful.
I've been reading comments especially those na nag-agent.
DIY din kase ako because I have time before to do research but looks like it's different sa case ng sis-in-law ko na wala shang time to understand and do thorough research. She's currently a primary school teacher sa pinas so hindi ko sure kung ano ang chances nya. That's why we are considering getting an agent.

magkano po ba fee if mag aagent for visa 190?
Joined: Mar 10, 2016
There is no set fee for any GSM visas. It varies from P100K-P200K. It’s all about which agency you’d be comfortable to handle your case and how much you’re willing to spend.
We have a current collaboration with Pinoyau
