Hi po, has anyone tried contacting Home Affairs on extending the initial entry date?

Got our grant earlier this year (January 2020), and given first entry date arrive by of Jan 2021 - pero mukhang malabo mangyari ang BM this year due to Covid.

Hi Asked ko lang po sino po dito nag renew ng passport at nag pa update ng surname. Madali po ba mag appear un changes sa Immiaccount or vevo. Kasi po yun passport ko will expire by june2021. Pero ang BM po nmin ay sa nov 2. Kaya nag pa schedule po ako ng renewal. Ang iniisip ko since married na ko mag iiba na surname ko. Iba na rin ang nakalagay sa grant letter. Madali ba mag update sa immiaccount.

Depende yan sa inyo sir. Depende din sa baon niyong salapi. Depende din sa job market ng occupation niyo. While moving there could give you so much uncertainty, tapos gastos pa. Sa opinyon ko kung ako lang naman sir.. Ipupush ko this year. Kahit end of the year pa. Sabi niyo nga last year pa kayo naggrant. Sayang ang oras na sana andun na kayo nararansan niyo na ang fruit ng paghihirap niyo na mag migrate. Pero of course opinion ko lang naman. Kau parin magdedecide niyan sir.

Goodluck to us, @wintergreen and @edward2414 . I'll update the group on our flight on August 11 MNL-HKG-MEL. Our flight has two uncertainties: reopening of Victoria to overseas arrivals and the cap. I already read about a bump-off by CX on BKK-SYD flight, on that case the customer service says whoever pays the highest are priority

bluebubble, ginawa namen yan kay misis ko... once lumabas yung new passport scan mo lang then you need to update ang details sa immiaccount. madali lang na change yung kay misis ko.. bale sa VEVO mo na machecheck yung new details. sa tingin ko ang maging problem mo is yung sa pag release ng DFA ng passport mo ontime, ang dami nila backlog. yung sa misis ko medyo na delay din ang releasing eh. good luck! cheers!

by the way mas maganda if change name kana pag dating mo dito kasi medyo mahirap pag dito kapa nag name change.. yung mga details mo na ipapasok sa govt agencies tas iisa isahin mo nanaman papaltan once mag name change kana... better do it in the PH.

hindi ko kasi alam din anogn address ilagay ko - hotel or doon sa address where we'll stay after quarantine.

Hi, yes, during quarantine nag apply na kami ng claim. Sa case namin, may tutuluyan na kami after ng quarantine so yun yung nilagay naming address.

Pwede naman sigurong address ng hotel yung ilagay tapos i-update nalang pag may bago kayong address. Itatawag lang naman yun. Para lang umusad na. Good luck!

Thank you po sa info. Also got a response similar to this - but I think na clarify na man na no need to extend the IED, considering the Covid situation. This is their response:

Unable to travel to Australia (Initial Entry Date)

"Generally you will be able to arrive in Australia after the initial entry date, as long as it is before the “Must not arrive after date” specified in your visa Grant Notification letter. You do not need to be granted an “extension” to your initial entry date or visa."

So probably next year na kami magBM.

Umalis kami SG ng July 31, walang katao tao ang airport. 8 lang kaming pasenggers nun nag antay mag open ang gate.Pero nun papasok na kami sa plane, may separate entrance ang mga transit passengers, mga 8-12 silang lahat..Less than 25 kaming lahat sa fligts na yun..Sa plane safe distancing din, bawat row tag isang tao lang..Pag family pwde tabi tabi.. No need to buy yung sa seats kasi may naka assign na sya. Goodluck

Nakapag book na kasi ako dati ng Melbourne sa end of August, unfortunately, naglockdown kaya ang ginawa ko is pinapalit ko ng Sydney ang destination..Then I asked SQ if makakasama ba kami kasi may cap per day ang arrivals..Ang sagot samin is basta may available seats pa ay nag aaccept sila ng rebooking/booking sa flight means within cap pa ..Tas nung tinanong ko if ilan passengers (kasi sa website nila andami ng not available na mark), sabi di daw pede sabhin hehehe..Worried lang ako gawa ng daily cap, hopefully nga matuloy kami sa Sydney...By the way, with regards sa quarantine charging, sasabihin ba agad nila sa inyo na need/no need magbayad during check-in or pagkatapos na ng quantine? June pa kami nagbook pero gawa ng rebooking, nagpalit ang date sa Aug na kaya expected namin pagbabayarin kami ng quarantine charges

Yes pwede pa mag apply. Initially ako lang nag apply ng job seeker and parenting payment (partnered) claim around mid june. Na approve naman.

Then yung jobseeker pala is individual so nag apply si wife ko on a later date, naka labas na kami sa quarantine around july na. - and na approve din xa.
