Any reason why this matters at the moment? Your associate degree is already 15 points for education same as Bachelor's. The next level points is for PhD na.

Same case with me, working as software developer for 8 years. Meron na kayang case dito na same na naging positive ang result with ACS?

    Hello!
Nagpaassess ako sa ACS as Analyst Programmer last year kaso hindi yung university degree ko ay hindi scope ng ICT. Yung experience ko ang aligned dito.

So nung pa-assess ako, after 3 weeks, nagreply yung Kelly Services (i believe subcontractor ng ACS for skills assessment) na “not meeting ACS educational requirements”. Pero bibigyan daw ako ng opportunity to change application type to RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning).
To complete, kelangan magcomplete ng Project Form (may template sila, set of questions, etc) and pay AUD200.
Binigyan ako ng 30days to submit the RPL.

So ayun, para akong nagthesis haha.

PS - in the end, nagpaassess ako for another occupation under vetassess in the hope to get more experience points (which i got!)

    Hello,

reason why I asked po kasi akala ko Associate Degree = Diploma based on https://www.aqf.edu.au/aqf-levels. Advanced Diploma Level 6 and equivalent ni Associate Degree.

Associate degree is lower than a bachelors degree. That’s only 10 points

It depends on the occupation you want to nominate. Obviously, if you choose EA, you won’t be able to claim work experience. If ACS, all depends how much your studies would relate to your nominated occupation. Possible scenarios would be:
    1. They recognise the relevance of your studies and will deduct 2 years from your 7 years
    2. Not much relevance will be recognised and will deduct 5 years. Note that since July 2020, they’ve changed how they assess ECE qualification - they will only recognise digital skills subjects.
    3. If not much relevance, you will then need to do RPL and 6 years will be deducted.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Ano po ung RPL? Thank you

Recognition of prior learning. That’s another type of application, please read the ACS guideline

    Got it. Thank you :)

    Hello @joboumali! No problem!
    BS Mathematics ang degree ko.
Under ACS, I applied for Analyst Programmer. 6yrs ang nacredit.
Under Vetassess, I applied for Statistician. 9yrs nacredit.

So yung experience mo after nun ang makacount na qualified. 🙃

    Hi @joboumali!

Educational qualification for Skills Select mismo?

Gets?

Btw, may friend ako na licensed ECE, nag-ACS din pero di na hiningan ng RPL like me. Positive outcome agas Nakuha rin nya full experience points kasi related naman employment nya. In fact, perfect points sya! (ECE from DLSU) #truestory

Push mo na yan! Go, grow, glow!

    salamat!

Any reason why this matters at the moment? Your associate degree is already 15 points for education same as Bachelor's. The next level points is for PhD na.

Associate degree is lower than a bachelors degree. That’s only 10 points

It used to be that qualifications from sec 2 universities can be recognised as equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree if the average GPA is at least 2.0 but CEP was recently updated in June so if university is section 2, it will never be equivalent to an AQF bachelors degree no matter how high the average GPA is unless the applicant has PRC licence. Policies and processes change unfortunately so one cannot compare results with other cases. No two cases are ever alike.

    Hi everyone!

Salamat!

Worth a try. I don’t see why it won’t work since your qualification will now equate to an AQF bachelors degree as per CEP. We’ve done the same for clients. Good luck

Bago na ang requirements ng ACS. Di na need ng notarized nor certified true copy of documents. Read up here: https://www.acs.org.au/content/dam/acs/acs-skills/Application-Checklist.pdf

if Business Intelligence Developer san po pwede na skill qualified? si husband po kasi nalilito ano pwede sa kanya.. been doing programming for years (7 years) and recent work niya is BI Analyst (mag 3 years na). Pwede po ba ma fall ito sa Business Analyst sa SOL? your suggestions will be highly appreciated po! salamat sa sasagot..

Refer to the ANZSCO definition. Only your husband would know if the duties are relevant to him.
