    so parang ang gagawin mo:
    - meron ka nang Generic COE from HR (example dated 2010)
    - ngaun gagawa ka ng detailed JD, at papirmahan sa ex boss mo, at ang date will be same as generic COE..

    i cannot fully confirm kung meron issue dito...
    - valid naman of course ang COE from HR..
    - valid pa rin naman ang date kasi, employee pa rin ang ex-boss mo dun sa company (on that given date)
    - pag nagverify ang DIAC/Assessing authority, the HR can validate na employee ka dati, at ang ex-boss mo ay employee din ng company at boss mo dati..

    it's your call.. mukhang okay naman..

    Thanks! Check ko din muna sa ex-boss ko kung okay lang syang pumirma sa detailed COE na ipreprepare ko na dati pa ang date. Kung hindi naman, affidavit na lang talaga ang papagawa or papasign ko.

    challenge mag request ng detailed COE sa current company ko. they are actually asking me na what is the purpose. i'm thinking if i should tell them the truth that im applying for a visa. diba kase DIAC might contact them naman later on to verify the information on the COE. kaya lang if i should tell them about my visa appln, what would they think?

    if i would request for a generic COE naman and just create a statutory declaration or reference letter to be signed by my current boss... hindi masyado applicable ang approach na to sakin, kase i handled different projects under different managers. hindi naman pwede isa isa ko sila papirmahin.

    hayz...ano kaya? any advise? thanks.

    My friend did it this way; she asked for a very detailed COE sa present company niya and she told them na it is for school requirement in her MBA - so what happened was nakalagay sa COE nya na it is for academic purposes. Ang DIAC naman will not mind this and will accept it as per normal...

    So to cut the story short, na visa grant sya... Bottomline it, ikaw bahala what excuses you can come up with. If they will call your company though, wala ka magagawa dun.

    not necessarily na migration agad.. para hindi sila magworry na aalis ka na agad..

    ^ actually, ang sinabi kong reason when they first asked me was "requirement for my masteral". but i think they didn't buy my reason, heheh... Now, the HR personnel set a mtg with me and one of the company heads. ganun, ka big deal sa kanila. so now, im thinking of just telling them the truth but in a subtle way. like what you advised... "for migration purpose" plus ofcourse for my masteral na rin para hindi naman mukha akong nagsinungaling nung una. actually, my school did really require us to submit a detailed CV but not COE. :) for "immigration purpose" sounds better? kase kung intl skills assessment...it sounds like im applying for a work abroad. :)

    Good Day sa ating lahat. .. May tanong sana ako regarding sa affidavit/Statutory Declaration. Yung company ko kasi dati sa Pinas eh nagclose. Yung dating manager ko eh nasa Singapore ngayun tapos andito ako ngayon sa Malaysia. Bale, format ng Pinas pa din ba susundin? Yung may nakalagay na "Republic of the Philippines"? Kasi plan ko sana eh ipapirma ko sa boss ko na nasa SG then dito ko sa Malaysia ipapanotaryo. Or dapat po ba eh sa SG ko ipanotaryo kasi andun siya? Kung sa SG ko ipapanotaryo, dapat po ba SG format din yung affidavit? Thanks in advance ..

    I can't give an opinion here - when we did my wife's stat dec, it was just a stat declaration for oneself. Meaning it never involved any other person or a boss...

    Double check on this as some assessment agency might not accept self-stat declaration; for CPAA naman, it was accepted with no questions asked.

    share ko lang based on experience. mas mahirap hingan ng detailed COE ang maliit na company compared sa big multinational company. hindi kase organized filing system/database , the hr personnel seemed don't care about their past employees. tsaka they seemed overloaded with work that's why producing a COE is additional work for them. parang "you are under their mercy". this is just based on my own personal opinion and exprience ha. :)

    pero may mga multi-national din na ayaw magbigay as it is not in their company policy daw to provide such...

    nonetheless, it is true that we are at their mercy!

    Generic COE lang binigay sakin ng isang company ko. :( Wala yung job description ko. I'm thinking kung gagawa pako ng statutory declaration. Or yung contract ko na lang i-submit ko sa ACS. Nasa contract ko yung job description ko. Kaya lang wala sa contract yung projects na na-handle ko.

    @loudandclear inde iccount ng ACS ang generic COE. Na reject ako ng dahil jan. Mag fill out ka nalang ng statutory declaration tapos papirmahan mo nalang as immediate supervisor mo dati para less hassle sa kanila. Pwede mo naman sabihin na they have the right to amend if necessary.

    ^thanks @Khorups. Will do that. Ang statutory declaration, sa plain paper lang diba? Or better kung letterhead ng company (my client's company). Agency kase ako dito. To make it clear, yung agency nag-provide ng generic COE. So i will ask my client's manager (my boss then) for a statutory declaration na printed sa letterhead ni client or ok lang plain paper baka hassle pa sa kanya. (heheh...magulo ba).

    Yung isang company ko naman (na hindi agency), generic COE lang din daw ang ibibigay nila, so I created a reference letter for my IT manager to sign. This got to be printed on company letterhead.

    tama ba mga pinaggagawa ko, hehehe... :) thanks.

    @loudandclear kahit on plain paper oks lang. Anyway ipapa notaryo mo naman yan. Saka pala bukod sa statutory declaration, gawa ka ng org chart containing you, your immediate boss, then your boss's boss tapos pirmado ni immediate boss at boss's boss, oks?

    Hello,

    I am having a problem requesting a detailed Certificate of Employment from the HR department of my previous company. Since my last designation was Internal Auditor, I requested a document from the department that states my job description (accountabilities). In the document the start date is from the time I was hired which is incorrect because my job before I became an auditor was only a bank clerk. Now, when I asked for a CoE from the HR, they can only give me a standard certificate which states my last designation and date I was hired till resignation. Kahit binigyan na ng details kung when at ung anong job title ko before ayaw naman.
    My question now is kung magkakaproblema po ba ako if yung cert from HR and from the audit department with same date ang ipapasa ko sa VETASSESS? This would mean I have a 5-year experience as Internal Auditor rather than 3years.

    Eto nga po pala nakalagay sa standard CoE:
    "This is to certify that (my name) was an employee of (company) from date to date. She was last assigned at the Office of the Chairman as staff - job leve B."

    Yan lang po ang kaya nilang ibigay na format. No last salary, "full time employee" and others.

    Ano sa palagay nyo po?

Ayaw pirmahan ng manager na ngayon na teammate ko nun yung ginawa kogn affidavit eh, wala naman kami boss na malapitan kasi offshore sila and wla na din sa company. Kasi bank so yung pinakita ko yung draft ng affidavit ayaw papirmahan , sobrang damot! sayang din 7 months ko dun! huhu

    pwede naman po yan.. as long as pag nagvalidate ang CO eh kayang panindigan ng nag-sign... you just have to state sa letter nyo kung bakt hindi kayo makakuha from HR/manager..

    I am having a problem requesting a detailed Certificate of Employment from the HR department of my previous company. Since my last designation was Internal Auditor, I requested a document from the department that states my job description (accountabilities). In the document the start date is from the time I was hired which is incorrect because my job before I became an auditor was only a bank clerk. Now, when I asked for a CoE from the HR, they can only give me a standard certificate which states my last designation and date I was hired till resignation. Kahit binigyan na ng details kung when at ung anong job title ko before ayaw naman.
    My question now is kung magkakaproblema po ba ako if yung cert from HR and from the audit department with same date ang ipapasa ko sa VETASSESS? This would mean I have a 5-year experience as Internal Auditor rather than 3years.

    Eto nga po pala nakalagay sa standard CoE:
    "This is to certify that (my name) was an employee of (company) from date to date. She was last assigned at the Office of the Chairman as staff - job leve B."

    Yan lang po ang kaya nilang ibigay na format. No last salary, "full time employee" and others.

    Ano sa palagay nyo po?
    so you got a standard COE...
    - you need to have someone sign(affidavit) your job description.. read from the start of this thread..
    - if you can/want, dun sa job description, you can enumrate all your previous positions..
    - kung walang salary, make sure you have other proof fo paid employment (payslip/ITR).. read again from the start of the threads nandun po ang mga kailangan nyo..

    Ok lang ba 2 ipasa na coe from same company, sa first request ko kase walang salary eh, ok lng kaya na isang detailed with duties and responsibilities tapos isang coe pa na standard lng including salary?

    No Detailed Job Description from HR:

    If you you have a generic COE from your HR, but you don't have a detailed Job Description, here are some suggestions:
    1) create your own job description and ask your manager/supervisor/senior colleague to sign it, or anyone with a higher rank in the company who can attest to your skills/job responsibilities, someone with the same level as you is not acceptable.
    -- of course, contact information of the signatory should be included (Telephone, address and email) and their ID (Company ID, business card, passport)
    -- if possible, put this in a company letterhead as well (same with your COE).. copy or ask a blank page with company letterhead from your friendly HR or company secretary..
    -- then CTC as required by your assessing body

    2) this second option is not recommended, and some other assessing authorities are not accepting this.. but if you want to take the risk, make a self-declaration, detailing why you cannot get a detailed job description (such as company closed already etc..)

    Other Supporting Documents:
    Most likely the CO/Assessing authority will ask for other supporting documents to validate your claim:
    - payslip, contract, awards, certificates, promotion letter, ID (from the company)
    - Yearly Income Tax Return, SSS total contribution, and PAG-IBIG, kung makakuha kayo ng report (eto ang pinaka okay dahil galing sa gov't offices)
    - pwede din bank account showing monthly remittance of salary from the old company..
    - kahit ano na pwede mag-establish na totoo talga ung company (maybe business permit, registration from DTI or SEC)

    -Okay lang ba kahit na 6 years ago na yun employment mo dun sa former company tapos the employment statement will be dated as present as long as employee pa rin ng company yung undersigned?

    -Regarding payslips and ITRs: for employment 2002-2006, pwedeng 2 ITRs lang Plus promotion letter?
    Payslips: pwede na ba 1 payslip lang?

    Payslips and ITRs (and promotion letters) are supplementary documents that MAY BE NEEDED by the CO in case they want further proof of your employment. Case in point, sa misis ko, there wasn't any requirement for payslips, ITRs and promotion letters. we just submitted a detailed COE and a stat declaration (which was self-signed by misis) on her 2nd job which did not provide a detailed COE.

    @psychoboy sa TRA kasi, as far as I can remember, parang hindi naman kelangan talaga ng payslips etc. Gagawin lang namen supplementary proof kasi yun coe ng husband ko is not complete. Nahihirapan pa kami humingi ng detailed employment statement kasi one of his former employer is in Bahrain. And halos lahat ng kakilala/ka-work nya before, hindi na nagwowork din don.

    So if I understand correctly, employment statements can be signed/given by someone who has been your superior kung hindi makakakuha sa HR. Pwede ba ito na dated as present as long as employee pa din ng said company yung undersigned? Given both cases, hindi na kakailanganin ng affidavit or stat dec?

    - Current Date ang employment statement (signed by a current employee from the company),naturally kung kelan nya in-execute ang statement ung ang date.. but it wont matter kasi sympre nasa Original COE naman nya kung kelan talga sya employed sa company na yun..

    - tama po si @psychoboy, supporting documents po ang payslip/ITRs.. kung anung meron kayo isubmit nyo lang (of course make sure na okay sa minimum requirements ng assessing body).. pag kulang sasabihan naman kayo ng CO..

    - in my case sinubmit ko for each employment: COE+JD, 1 payslip/year, ITR per year.. para wala ng tanung ang CO.. ayaw ko nmn kasi ma-delay pa ang assessment..

    Not knowledgeable on this... As mentioned, we submitted a self-statutory declaration MEANING it was my wife who signed the document which stated that she was employed in Mang Juan's Inasal so and so and she did this and that during her employment duration from blah to bleh...

    Worth noting though that she specifically mention the reason why she was not able to come up with a detailed COE.
