Just claim the years Vetassess accredited. Someone from another forum shared their 491 application was refused because she overclaimed points. Sayang lang yung pera and yung waiting time.

If same company and same job title, pwede naman siguro mag claim more than sa positive assessed ng Vetassess? Sakin, 7.5 yrs Vetassess assessment until Sep 30, 2021. Pero same company and same job title pa din, and nainvite ako ng Visa 189 nung Aug 22, 2022. So additional 326 days or 0.89 yrs so 7.5+ 0.89= 8.39 yrs (15 pts) ung claim ko sa Visa application..

If it's the same company and same job automatic naman na tataas ang points mo when you reach the next tier. You don't have to update your EOI.

Yes, hiniwalay ko sya because based on my Vetassess document hindi sya considered as skilled employment.

ay ganon ba. sana naman hindi ma reject ung application kahit nag "over claim ako ng skilled work experience", e kasi hindi naman ako "nag over claim ng points".

Good day po sorry, hanggang ilang pages lang po kinaya kong i-back read. May I ask for your opinion/s po:
I have 2 options based on my research - apply as (1) Skilled Migrant 190 or (2) apply for a Student Visa 500.
I’m planning to check muna if pwede po ako mag apply as skilled migrant to AU para hindi po malaki gastos. Ito po details ko:
1. Graduate of UP Visayas BSBA Marketing (latin honors pero I think di rin po to impt)
2. Age: at least 25 but less than 33
3. Work experience: Marketing/product development (banking & finance industry) for more than 5 years now
4. Single
Baka kayanin po 65-75 points depending on the assessment.
Per checking NSW ANZSCO iniisip ko po baka pwede ako under advertising and marketing professionals 225111 or 225113) or unit group 1311 (advertising, pr, and sales managers 131112 or 131113).
Maraming salamat po in advance. 😊

@PR_AU Marketing Specialist yung nominated occupation ko when I applied for a skilled immigrant visa a few years ago. For Marketing Specialist kailangan section 1 ang school mo. May list dati dito sa Pinoy AU ng schools and their categories, search mo na lang. Kung okay na yung school, ireview mo yung tasks na expected from this occupation. If you meet most of those tasks then pwede mag skills assessment.
Marketing Specialist is only in the short term skills list so 190 and 491 lang ang pwede dito. Based on my observation, and matagal-tagal na ako nagffollow ng immigration trends, hindi rin ganun karami ang naiinvite under this occupation. So I would suggest that you don't limit yourself to 190 NSW especially because your current points are below NSW's minimum requirement. I would suggest that you consider all states where this occupation is listed and that you consider both 190 and 491 kasi offshore ka.
I don't really suggest going the student visa route because you will spend a lot of money and there is no guarantee that you will get a PR in the end. If it turns out your school isn't under section 1 then I think there is no other option but to go the student visa route because you won't get a positive assessment from Vetasses.
Kung magstudent visa ka dito I suggest you study for an occupation na mataas-taas ang chance to get PR in the future.
I got a 489 visa from SA 4 years ago. At that time sila lang nagnonominate ng Marketing Specialist and the minimum points they required was 90.

Thank you, @maguero . Per checking (here in Pinoy AU), UPV is sadly under section 2. I saw some thread here where they discussed being their school under section 2 and still got 15pts due to some factors (GPA, grades, transcript)
Yes po, if SV medyo mahirap din pumili ng course na may pathway for PR. Initial reco ni IDP is postgraduate which is hindi ko po afford. My tita wants me to take AIN if student po pero long shot din.
Glad to know that you got 489 po. Yung initial assessment ni VETASSESS pwede po if ever gamitin to lodge 190 or 489? May I ask if ano po initial entry visa niyo sa AU? Thank you very much for your feedback.

@maguero although, for the school po, UP Visayas Iloilo City kami, not the one in Miag-ao. However, baka same lang din po. May ibang reference list po kaya for the schools? Just to double check lang po.
I am leaning more towards 190 / 489 pa rin po more than SV. Thank you po ulit sa insights.

Perhaps you can look for a MARA agent who does a free initial consultation. That would be the best person to ask about the latest classification of schools.
Usually yung mga section 2 who are able to get the full 15 points are those who have PRC licenses. Wala kasing licensure for marketing. Try mo muna kumausap ng MARA agent about this matter.
Yung VETASSESS results can be used for both 190 and 491 (ito yung pumalit sa 489). I came here on a 489 visa.
Yung AIN yata isn't in the list of occupations. Ang nasa list is Enrolled Nurse which is higher than an AIN.

Thank you sir. Nimention po ba kung sa NSW, VIC or ibang state sya nominated? Yung sa NSW kase nabasa ko na strict nga sila sa years accredited ng Vetassess or ACS.

The state has nothing to do with such decision so it’s immaterial as to which state sponsored the applicant. It’s the legislation that determines this. My advice is to never do such a bold move without consulting a professional. If no budget for an agent best to follow what the assessment outcome is - that’s why you got assessed in the first place as this is part of the pre-requisite to your visa application. There is a purpose why one needs to do the assessment.

a) Refused ang application, possible na merong 3 year ban
b) Grant ang 190 application, then sa citizenship matutuklasan then pauuwiin
c) Grant ang citizenship pero after many years, nakita nila ang error. Then pauuwiin

Apparently there are delays due to staff shortage and COVID... Saw in another forum someone who's been waiting for 5 months already, since May 2022. I'm also waiting—all we can do! Haha.

Huge backlog. Not so sure if it has to do with covid. It’s a convenient excuse though. I don’t normally advice clients to do priority processing because usually we get decisions sooner than 12 weeks but now, I’m as much as I don’t want clients to spend more, we’ve been advising them to consider priority processing.

Hope someone can share if na-experience.
