    Hello guys! :)

Tanong ko lang po if paano magtransfer from BDO account (PHP Peso) to Commonwealth Bank (AUD), pwede po ba magtransfer?

Or kailangan ko po muna mag withdraw from BDO then deposit nalang sa Commonwealth account?

    Thank you!

Were finding ways din to transfer our moekaos need ata tlaga andun kana

I think pde ka nman mgdala ng cash in excess of 10k. You just have to declare and provide evidence ng source of money. Pde dn bank transfers im not sure with bdo pero majority allows nman transfer to international bank thou with limit nga lang or bka you could explore remitly.

This is rather risky. Pwede mo namang ma access ang Ph bank account mo on your mobile (provided you have the app) when your Ph sim has activated its roaming status. Saka mo ma transfer ang pera mo to your Aus bank.

Pwede bang ganito if ang pera mo ay PHP?
Or open ng australian dollar account sa BPI or BDO then ikaw na mismong magwire transfer sa AU account?
Ano kaya ang fees or charges if done by yourself pag online.

Were planning on bring 8k cash max. Then ung the rest baka I transfer nlang namin thru bank. Safest way for us

NAB din ako and I transferred money before I moved to AU. Kinuha ko yung EFTPOS card in the morning & then nung hapon nagamit ko na sa grocery.

You can't use the money in the account until after you visit the bank for KYC. During that visit bibigyan ka ng EFTPOS card which you can activate at the branch and you can start using it. If you want a Visa or Mastercard na debit card, you can apply na during that visit and they will mail it to your residence.

Nagdeposit ako from the Philippines.

Pwede po ba? I saw that we cant use the account pag offshore pa. When po kayu nag BM?

You can't use the money in the account until after you visit the bank for KYC. During that visit bibigyan ka ng EFTPOS card which you can activate at the branch and you can start using it. If you want a Visa or Mastercard na debit card, you can apply na during that visit and they will mail it to your residence.

So pwede mag deposit?

Haha alam ko pwede last 3 years ago. Now cannot already

Yun lang, wala na pala sa NAB.

Meron pa sa Commbank if you are really after this option.

    https://www.commbank.com.au/moving-to-australia/banking.html

Haha!

Based sa website nila, you need to visit the branch in Australia before you can use your new account.

Open a CommBank account up to 14 days before you arrive in Australia, or up to three months after you arrive. You’ll need to visit a branch once you arrive in Australia and provide identification documents and tax residency details before you can use your new account.

May nakasubok na po bang mag-visit sa Australia, open ng bank account dun (mukhang pwede mo sa CommBank even as a tourist), go back to the PH and then deposit regularly into the AU bank account para slowly building up savings while nagpo-process ng visa application? Hehe.

What we did po is open an ANZ account offshore(in PH). Then from BPI nag transfer kami ng funds to ANZ account. Before we arrive here, we already set an appointment with ANZ to claim the ATMs (actually sila yung nag initiate ng appointment). I just presented my passport and binigay na nila yung ATM. The funds we transferred is less than $10k kaya within the day the credit na sya. (Yes, even offshore I could check my ANZ account).

    https://www.anz.com.au/personal/bank-accounts/open-account/#moving

I request nyo narin yung existing credit/debit cards to be accepted in Au. Although di naman required.
Tip 2: Nag ask ako sa branch manager if I could leave a remittance form na blank yung amount and they accepted it.

    Plane ticket
    Visa
    CoE (since SV kami)

    Hope this helps.

I think hindi pa pwede online nun (early 2022). But before going there, nag ask na ako ng mga requirements etc. ANZ lang napili namin kasi yun din bank ng sister ko and nasa top 4 naman sya kaya I think reliable. So far I have no problems with them.

I'm not sure if pwede ang tourist, but generally if you're moving here (permanently na or as student), pwede naman. Although hahanapan ka ng Australian address, kasi dun nila ipapadala ang bank statements and debit card mo (I think bank statements are accepted as proof of address because of this).

Depending on the transfer fees, baka mas sulit kung iilang transfer lang (1-3 big transfers) instead of monthly deposits, especially kung fixed rate sya. Kung big move ka na, pwede ka rin magdala ng more than $10k through the airport per person, just need to declare that you're moving permanently kaya malaki ang dala.

You can cash in in AU dollar directly from PH bank account. They will convert.

Wise (formerly Transferwise) is legit and safe. May mobile app sya and website. I used it before as my payroll account (nung offshore ang employer ko) and also use regularly it for 200 USD+ transactions with my credit card. Medyo malaki lang yung fees IMO, pero real-time transaction siya and wala naman akong naging problema ever sa security. Di ko na lang kino-connect sa accounts ko so my financial details don't stay there.

Ay, that one I'm not so sure kung yan ba ang specific na meaning ng reply ni sir @EricTC. But I do know you can connect your bank there and send money to another foreign bank account. Di ko lang matandaan if naga-accommodate ba si Wise ng SGD, probably yes since major financial player si SG... PHP kasi wala si Wise.
