Sakin nah commbank ako kasi kahit wala pako dito Australia pwedeng mag open.

Or same bank account number po?

No po. Commbank allows u to open an account offshore as long as ull activate it within 20days.kasi if you dont verify the account, ikoclose nila yun. Hindi mo pa magagamit ung bank hanggat di mo. Pa naveverify onshore. Same account number lang

Hi Madam!

Jist to update everyone here. Nag viewing kami Saturday, then now na approved na lease namin sa 3 bedroom house dito sa blacktown. Wala kaming work pareho, but we send a screenshot of our bank. I think malaking factor ung alam nilang makakapag bayad ka kahit 6 months kayung walang work. May bahay na kamim yey! ❤️

Congrats po :-) start of new beginning na talaga.. Godbless po and have a wonderful life journey at Straya! 😊

Thank you! Hanggang ngaun di parin ako makapaniwala. Haha parang too good to be true.

Maybe 12-18 months if we like. We just sent our screenshot ng bank na may funds. So nung nag apply kami may enough funds kami to show na kaya naming magbayad. We also sent our agent's number sa Singapore na pinagrentan namin. I think kinontact din siya this morning. Nung inspection pala, we talked personally sa agent. We told them na newly migrants kami. And we dont have source of income, but we assure him na kaya namin magbayad. Then tinanung niya anung occupation namin, so nung sinabi namin na nasa construction industry kami, he said oh that's good, at least you'll be most likely na mahahire.

We went to some houses na napakaganda ng pictures sa listing, but pagdating nmin sa house sobrang panget or minsan may amoy ung carpet. Better to check personally.

Woww, parang ang mura po ng kuha nyo for a 3br unit tapos Sydney area pa! :)

Realestate nakuha namin. Sometimes Domain

baka po may friend kayo na pwede mapakiusapan na magbayad for you? sakin kasi, kakaapply ko lang din kahapon, credit card po ginamit ko via paypal

Sa akin ang ginagawa ko. Credit Card. Maliit yun kaysa gamitin ang debit card in philippine peso. Malaki kasi pag kinonvert nila in peso ang mga banks. AUD to USD then to peso so dual conversion pa.

You can ask your bank if you pay the portion sa credit card. If meron ka dual currency credit card. Or may kamaganak kayo sa AU, mas mura kasi Audollars na, di na dadaan sa conversion.

To add-on, depende if anong nakalagay don of what they require. Meron naman iba very decent yong hinahanap and straightforward. You can also team-up don. I usually find rooms sa flatmates.com.au, and bond lang hinanap saken mostly 2 weeks advance and 2 weeks deposit, iba-iba. Meron din subletting as they call it na nasa lease talaga yong name mo and you're directly paying sa agent. Just keep your bank statement lang for proof of payment. Much better if direct landlord/agent instead na ipadaan sa housemate. Best to inspect din the place.

Hello!

Gaano katagal ba bago sumahod doon? or depende iyon sa employer?

Thank you! :)

Hello!

Gaano katagal ba bago sumahod doon? or depende iyon sa employer?

Thank you! :)

The more money you bring, the better. If you're live a frugal lifestyle (hindi ma-shopping or madalas kumain sa labas), that AUD 1500-2000 should get you by for maybe 1-2 months (if you're not paying any rent). If you are setting up your own place, kakainin ng rental bond ang pocket money mo, as that's usually 2-4 weeks worth of rent. I.e. if you will rent a place for AUD 300/week, ideally you would have AUD 1200 for your 4-week rental bond, plus AUD 600 for 2 weeks rent, so AUD 1800 agad yun. If you can only stay at your partner's place for a month or so, better bring more money, and then wait until you are getting regular salary so you have better cashflow when it's time to find your own place.

In Australia, the salary is usually paid every fortnight (the same day every 14 days), but it could be monthly too, depending on your employer. Most companies' payroll would be Wednesday or Thursday (that's why a lot of stores have late trading hours on Thursdays kasi sahod na).

Once you sign your job offer/contract, HR will ask you for your TFN and bank details (apply for your TFN as soon as you arrive, because that can take a few days as well, and they will have to send your TFN details via snail mail). The sooner you get your TFN and banking details sorted out, the sooner you can get on the payroll. If you delay submitting your details and you miss the payroll cut-off date, you might not get paid until the next payroll cycle.

@prograceing Since you seem to be a health care worker, also consider that you might need to apply for things like a working with children check, working with vulnerable people check, etc. before you can start in your workplace. Some employers shoulder the cost of the checks and some don't. Medyo mahal din so you may have to budget for these, just in case.

If you plan to drive here, I suggest that you also budget for driving lessons, tests and the licence. These are upfront expenses and they can add up din kasi.

I haven't heard of these! Thank you so much for the heads up. I might have to prepare a little over 2000 AUD talaga. Salamat po :)

I've done very little freelancing so far, but generally you need to register for an Australian Business Number (ABN) if you want to work as a freelancer/contractor. If you're the only one working in the business, you'd probably start off as a Sole Trader. Once you get your ABN, you're good to go with starting your business.

You don't generally need to open a bank account specifically for your business, but personally that's what I did, so it's easier to track the cashflow when tax season comes around (hindi mixed with personal expenses).

Also, you actually don't need to register for GST unless you have a turnover of $75k. As a starting freelancer in Australia, you probably won't need this in the beginning.

    Hope that helps.

Probably (AFP) police check din ($ 40-100 din sya).

I don't know if you will be working in a hospital setting, but if you will be, the hospital may also require you to get vaccinations as part of the employment onboarding process. The cost differs depending on which vaccine you need, but each can be between $ 25-70. Some of the required vaccinations in QLD are Measles/Mumps/Rubella, Pertussis, Varicella, Hepatitis B; I'm gonna guess the same din ang requirements for VIC.

Hi @ga2au , sg bank to?
