Check the tasks of Mechanical Engineer & Production or Plant Engineer in the ANZSCO list. This must match your duties and responsibilities in your reference letter and career episodes in your CDR. In my case, I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession but I applied for Production or Plant Engineer because it was my occupation and it fitted my duties. I received a positive outcome last December.

Good day everyone. Ask ko lang po kung may pwede po makatulong sakin or advice regarding sa work experience ko.
I'm a Licensed Civil Engineer here sa PH pero yung work experience ko for about 6+ years is related lang sa Quantity Surveyor (QS) na work.
Possible po kaya na makagawa ako ng CDR para ma-assess as Civil Engineer ni EA?
If may mga nakagawa na po dyan ng CDR as Civil Engineer pero QS ang work experience pwede po makihingi ng copy icheck ko lang po kung pano nyo nairelate ung QS sa CE.
Nagtanong kasi ako sa agent ko ang sabi sakin is EA talaga ang assessing body ko since hindi pasok ung qualification sa AIQS.

Skills assessment is the most crucial stage. You need to get this right - this is the end all and be all. Visa application is just matter of lodging all the documents you used from skills assessment, EOI, plus some firms to complete.

May unting problem lang po sa pagpili ng ipapa-assess ko na Skill, baka po may same experience dito na pede ko din pagbasehan.
eto po ang work experience ko:
7.5years - Production engineer - 2006 to 2014
2.5years - Design and Development engineer - 2014 to 2016
5.0years - Structural Design/Draftsperson - 2017 to present
ang Options ko po sa ANZSCO ay

Though parehas naman silang MTLSSL, gusto ko sanang ma-maximize yung points
so I'm leaning dito sa Production Engineer.

Hi, ask ko lang po regarding sa reference letter for CDR. Bale po currently kasi Civil Engineer independent contractor ako for a foreign client. I'm considering myself as a self-employed professional. one company lang po kumbaga pinagttrabahuan ko pero considered as a contractor-CE/estimator ako.
Ngayon po, yung1 career ep ko is about my current job, need pa rin po ba yung reference letter with the company's letterhead and head/manager's signature or magsuffice na po kahit yung contract ko?
This is because currently employed ako dito, and somehow nakakhiya sa current manager namin na magpapirma ko since parang pangitain ba na aalis na rin sa current job, baka maging harsh na sya sakin sa work lol.

Ay sorry, yes tama po kayo na client ko yung employer.
Yung structure ng job kasi namin ngayon parang yung typical hierarchy if employed ka. so parang under one manager kami pero signed as independent contractor kami ng company (which is yung main client namin na pinagseservice-an ng quantity takeoffs)

Nakita mo na po yung page 29 ng MSA Booklet 2020, yun po need niyo consider if self-employed ang approach mo sa application.
Bale need mo talaga ng official document na signed ng contracting employer/client. Prepare ka na siguro ng letter para papapirma ka na lang. Pinakasafe ay magsabi ka ng totoo. Baka kasi tawagan din employer client mo in case mag verify si EA. Kung mag iba treatment sayo ibig sabihin may mali sa kanila

It all depends on how you frame your CDR po. You can talk about the logic/principles behind your routine tasks from an ME perspective. Also, put weight sa mga conflicts and how you troubleshoot po.
Most likely, ME rin po ang magiging assessor niyo, kaya make sure that everything's aligned sa mga topics ng ME.
