required po face mask during exam sa pearson makati?

just took the exam yesterday, March 13th, sa Makati PTE testing center and yes po mandatory pa din ang facemask. medyo awkward lang pero try to practice din sa bahay with facemask on para lang mafeel mo.

Kamusta po? Need din ba magpractice with background noise included?

To be honest, medyo bothered ako nung unang part ng exam (RA/RS/DI/RL)... kase magkakasabay-sabay na nagsasalita. mukang maganda naman yung headset provided sa testing center at ndi naman masyado naririnig nung nag-audio check. try to ignore the noise na lang po kase medyo nakakawala din ng focus kapag nasanay ka na magreview at mock exams na walang ingay sa paligid. Additional challenge na din cguro yan hehehe. Waiting pa din ako sa result, hopefully today or tomorrow. Goodluck!

Just focus on practicing each types of questions...
Happy at nakuha ko ang target score :)

    __

Wow! Congratulations po. :) Hoping I could have these scores too. I will be taking mine po on the 4th of April. Any tips po before taking the exam?

Thanks po! Since medyo matagal pa naman ang exam mo, i suggest daily practice lang sa ApeUni is more than enough. Be sure to cover sa practice yung lahat ng types of questions.

    __

Thanks for the tips po  I’m aiming to take mock test everyday na po from now. And so far, here are my past results sa mock tests and i’m aiming to have superior po. Hehe.

Speaking actually pinaka madali for me. Galawang newscaster lang hehe. Make full use of the few seconds given before reading aloud. (Goal is to read each word fluently). Do not lump words together that sound slang, baka di marecognize ng ai.

For the retell lecture, describe image, make sure memorize mk yung template. Best is to write the template on the given scratch paper. Pag dinisplay yung pic/graph or nakinig ka ng lecture, madali i retell or describe aloud.

Just got my results = 90.
The only tip i can give you is to download the apeuni app.

Print the exam format and go thru each exam type. All the apeuni templates work. Yung template lang for essay di ko talaga na memorize, so i just made my own based on Intro, Additional info, example and conclusion.

Before the exam starts, ideally you should write your retell lecture and describe image templates. If the proctor do not allow, write it during your reading aloud. (Allow 10-15secs for writing and another 10secs for preparing the read aloud excercise). Do it for the next 3 questions heheheh.

    Focus. God is good.

    God is good

Hi po, apeuni template din po ba ginamit nyo for DI, RL, SST and SWT?

SWT yes (and, so, which means that, ;)
    Describe image yes
    Retell lecture yes

Thank you

I cant say i used the apeuni template, di ko kasi ma memorize yun haha. Pero i just grabbed the idea and tried to recall the gist of the essay.

4 paragraphs ( jimmsem teknik ata ito or some random vid kasi do kaya i memorize)
    Intro
    Additional info
    Example
    Conclusion

Use proper grammar, use high sounding words na related sa context, then ok din yung sa template (upto where u can memorize, di ko kasi kaya haha).

In case walang mag-confirm here, puntahan mo yung video nya for retell lecture/describe image, then sort mo yung comments ng video to "Newest". Check mo yung date ng comments, kasi usually people confirm there na it's still working as of a certain date. That's what I did before, since walang makapag-confirm dito sa forum na working pa sya :)

If in case you dont find any recent PTE takers who used jimmysem templates, just use APEUNI's. I took the exam first week of March using APEUNI template- Superior.

Thanks everyone in this forum. It just so happens na medyo lenient yung scoring sa actual exam.

    **Repeat Sentence
    - Ito tinutukan ko talaga ng aral. Everyday ako nagpractice, from apeuni to youtube prediction (monipte). Ang tip na tumatak sakin ay alalahanin mo yung first three words at last three words, intindihin yung sentence at wag mautal. Nag-notes ako pero unang word lang saka last. Fluency at pronunciation talaga importante dito kesa content.
    **WFD
    - practice mabilis magsulat! Para tong repeat sentence pero this time sinusulat mo na ng diretso.
    **SWT **- Albeit, but, therefore

    Other tips:
    - Dasal dasal dasal!

Goodluck sa mga mag-eexam pa!

Good day po! I took the test yesterday and got the results after 2 hours. Sa Tokyo po ako nag-exam. I GOT 90 IN ALL BANDS! Yaaaay! Thank you po sa lahat ng nag help sa akin dito and masasabi ko na sobrang helpful ng group na to. Sa mga future test takers po, I'd like to share what I did to ace the test.

    Preparation:
Practice almost everyday. Less than 2 months po ang aking preparation.

    During the test:
    ① Pray!
    ② Breathe in, breathe out!
③ Sulitin ang preparation time sa Read Aloud. Doon mo mage-gauge kung paano mo dapat basahin yung paragraph.
④ I used APEuni template sa DI and RL. The templates guided me dahil sobrang kaba ko pag speaking test kaya laking tulong sakin nung templates.
⑤ Writing - I did not use any template since confident ako sa writing hehe

    Realizations after the test:
    ① Believe in yourself!

Good luck! God bless us all. <3

    **Repeat Sentence
    - Ito tinutukan ko talaga ng aral. Everyday ako nagpractice, from apeuni to youtube prediction (monipte). Ang tip na tumatak sakin ay alalahanin mo yung first three words at last three words, intindihin yung sentence at wag mautal. Nag-notes ako pero unang word lang saka last. Fluency at pronunciation talaga importante dito kesa content.
    **WFD
    - practice mabilis magsulat! Para tong repeat sentence pero this time sinusulat mo na ng diretso.
    **SWT **- Albeit, but, therefore

    Other tips:

    Apeuni

This ^ APEUni ang best to have access to exercises for each test type. About 800 PHP yata ito, if I remember correctly. Pearson kit is also good if gusto mo naman ng mock tests created by the PTE organisation/body mismo, mas mahal lang, 2–3K PHP yata and you get a limited number of tests (may iba-ibang options siya).

Did not hit my target score. Pero pwede na rin. Need to re compute my points, if ever kukulangin, I may need to retake my PTE Exam.

Based on my observation, hindi po ganun ka-generous magbigay ng score si APEuni. Magandang training app yan IMO. Suggestion ko lang po days or one day before mag official mock test kayo, kasi yun talaga yung closest sa actual exam. :) Good luck!

You can do it. Just review your scores kung saan ka mababa at di confident yun ang aralin mo at i practice.
