Hi! If visa 190 holder and na hire ng employer sa pinas habang offshore pa pero start date is few days after arrival, may I know if may need pa asikasuhin na docs sa pinas like POEA? Or no need kasi di naman considered OFW and resident na? Thank you! 🫶

I think no need na ang POEA, kasi Permanent Resident visa ang gagamitin mo (not a working visa) and given na nun na as a PR may working rights ka sa Australia. Make sure to arrange for your CFO!

True, hot topic pa naman ngayon ang mga IOs na humihingi ng kahit anong document just to confuse you. To be super sure (ako lang 'to :D), I'd try reaching calling/emailing POEA na rin, para in case hanapan nga may solid proof ka na not needed for your PR visa.

Thank you

Puwede din po pick up if nag online kayo. If you want the sticker po and convenient sainyo better to do face to face.

Hello po. pag nagonline and ipipick-up yung sticker, puede po ba i-walk in to? or need pa ulit ipa-schedule?

You need to schedule the pick-up po.

Hi! As a first-timer holidayer sa Sydney earlier this month, I can say I felt very safe even commuting at night, especially as a girl. Mas anxious pa ako sa schedule ng transport dahil lang baguhan dun and didn't want to get lost, or run out of options — for example, nag sudden shutdown yung Sydney trains on my first day. Might need to check if may transport options available at midnight, alam ko bus na lang (not sure)?

Exercise caution pa rin, of course. It's generally safe, at least in my expi. I was on the tram and may sumakay na Caucasian guy na nagsisisigaw — ako lang yata Asian that time sa tram na yun, so lowkey kinabahan ako nun :D In broad daylight yun at well-occupied naman yung tram so marami kami. I just did what the locals did, look away lang and ignore.

Have to admit though na I think, as a girl, parang default na to be on guard all the time lalo na kapag vacant ang place. Like when I went underground to ride the train one time, yung kasama ko lang sa platform ay a group of guys who were eyeing me. And when I would walk back to my hostel late at night (sa The Rocks) medyo poorly lit yung area and walang tao. Mga ganung instances. But other than that, felt very safe even when kakaunti lang ang nasa bus/ferry/tram/train — yung unfamiliarity lang talaga yung nakakadagdag sa feeling na baka di safe, I would say.

Also tried Uber one time during the day. Felt safe naman.

Been living in Sydney for 3 years, so far, safe naman po. Just be careful sa mga lasing especially Friday and Saturday nights :) Hahaha. Be mindful din sa train schedules but madami naman trips pag weekend unless trackwork. Late din ang last trips ng trains. 1st trip is at 4AM to 5AM mag resume.

We're lucky na may family na mag vacation overseas for 3 mos. Pina rent nila ang house nila. We've gone thru the usual process. Property viewing (a good friend did it on my behalf), submission of proof of income etc. Even yung car nila ay pwede namin i-rent (300/month). May contract and all.

Big help ito sa amin kasi we don't need to shell out for furniture and appliances agad.

Napaka informative for us na may 5 months pa til #bigmove. Ang dami pala din need asikasuhin like medical insurance, house hunting and job hunting not to mention yung actual na pag lilipat (we're moving from sg).

We're planning to rent airbnb muna for 2-4 weeks while maghanap ng job and house. Sasama din daw parents ko as tourists to help us settle in (sabay gala na daw) haha. But really, sabi nila at least daw makatulong sila to look after our son while busy kami ng husband ko naglilipat and all.

Curious lang po, anyone here na nag big move with a toddler? Baka naman may tips kayo mag momshies & papshies haha.

Hello po! Meron po ba ritong nag-BM na may kasamang relative/s on tourist visa during the flight? Couple with kids kasi kami and iniisip naming isama ang parents namin sa first entry flight.

    1. Isama sa cover letter na magaalaga sila ng bata and yung reason, then kayo magsponsor ng lahat ng needs niya. Very important ito.
    2. Gawan niyo rin ng itinenary yung gagawin nila dyan like tourist spots etc

For the bank certificate, should it be the parents' bank certs or our (sponsor's) bank cert? And if their purpose is to look after the kid for 3 months for example (usual stay for tourist visa), ano po ung pwedeng ilagay sa itinerary? Thank you. :)

Hello po ulit. Orayts po. Thank you po sa response :)

Based on my own experience, passbook is okay, as long as may solid history (built over time, not biglaang pasok) of deposits sa passbook account na yun. For cover letter and itinerary, check mo yung kay Poor Traveler (credible travel blogger): https://www.thepoortraveler.net/2016/06/successfully-get-australian-visa-online-requirements-steps-filipino-tourists/.

If may assets ang parents mo tying them to the Philippines, like land/property title, life insurance, mga ganun, attach mo na rin. Good luck!

Hi! Share ko lang experience namin sa Bank Account Opening - We arrived here in Melbourne Monday (Feb 28). My husband already signed up using CommBank prior to our arrival. When we went to his bank Tuesday, he still needed to go back Friday because the branch can't accommodate him. Comes Friday, we still need to wait for 2 weeks for his ATM card to be delivered. Ako naman I tried walk in sa NAB same Tuesday, I waited more than an hour since I don’t have an appointment and it was already after lunch time but I got my account online same day. I went back the week after to claim my NAB ATM card. So hindi pala mas mabilis sa CommBank based sa experience namin.

Tagal din pala ng Commbank. May mga stories kasi before na dito nagsignup na sila then pagdating sa Australia nakuha na nila kaagad on the same day yung ATM. Mukhang iba iba talaga.

I am not sure how pero pwede naman pong touchdown muna kayo sa Australia. like a week or two na vacation then balik uli kung san kayo nagwowork then settle everything that you need. mahalaga makapasok kayo within the specified first entry date.

suggestion ko lang naman po. hehe

+1 on this. Pwede naman lumipad lang for like 1 day para lang maactivate visa then alis uli
