Super thankful sa thread na to. Napaka informative for us na may 5 months pa til #bigmove. Ang dami pala din need asikasuhin like medical insurance, house hunting and job hunting not to mention yung actual na pag lilipat (we're moving from sg).

We're planning to rent airbnb muna for 2-4 weeks while maghanap ng job and house. Sasama din daw parents ko as tourists to help us settle in (sabay gala na daw) haha. But really, sabi nila at least daw makatulong sila to look after our son while busy kami ng husband ko naglilipat and all.

Curious lang po, anyone here na nag big move with a toddler? Baka naman may tips kayo mag momshies & papshies haha.

    1. Isama sa cover letter na magaalaga sila ng bata and yung reason, then kayo magsponsor ng lahat ng needs niya. Very important ito.
    2. Gawan niyo rin ng itinenary yung gagawin nila dyan like tourist spots etc

    • bank statements
    • visa from other countries (if any)
    • passport pic
    • invitation letter from friend in au (to show na mag t.tourist tlga sila and not samahan kami)
    • travel itinerary
    • passport
    • valid ID

May nabasa kasi ako yung tourist visa sponsored stream hehehe..

Double check the DHA page, but AFAIK you must be a settled AU resident to sponsor a tourist visa. So need to have been living here for at least 2 years I think. They can still apply for a tourist visa, yung hindi sponsored.

    thank you po :)

Hi po, question.. yung sa mga may work na po jan sa AU.. tinry nyo po ba mag apply ng job from offshore? Nasa SG pa po kase kami and may toddler so ideally before kami lumipat jan may job na.. possible po ba yun?

Or best to indicate na nasa Singapore pa po kami and mag.re-relocate pa lang in a 1-2 months? and lagay nalang namin yung whatsapp namin?

May na-hire na po ba dito ng au government hospitals/institutions as Scientist/Technician even without local experience? As in first job.

Im wondering if it’s possible 😩

Good day po mga kabayan. We are family of 3 with a baby on the way. We'll be arriving on May 2023. Ask ko lang po
    1. What documents are needed to present sa io except for passport, visa grant and cfo cert.
    2. Do we need to have travel insurance and medical insurance before flying?

    Thank you and God bless

    Thank you Sir @tigerlance :)

Planning to book inspections 1 week before arrival & luckily may friend naman na pwede kami makitira temporarily. I am personally looking at areas near Parramatta/Westmead/Merrylands/Granville. Yung price po around that area ay 350~450 per week for 1 to 2 bedrooms na (cheaper kapag studio units). 1 hour travel time sya papuntang city center by public transpo and 30mins by driving.

Ikr, apparently 650k ang migration numbers (from 2020 yata) so for sure marami ang papasok kasabay natin, so mukhang lulubha. Natatakot akong maging homeless :D

If anyone can provide more insight, lalo na sa mga nakatira na sa Aus for a while — tingin niyo ba typical lang 'to sa central locations (say, Sydney city) and better ang housing opportunities sa more regional areas?

I think is not immediate crisis that immediately no available rental houses. meron cgro s mga suburbs 1 hr away in sydney. the best way to do is we have to move as soon as we can.

Ganyan din plan ko pero iba iba kasi stories ng mga tao when it comes to job hunting eh. Maraming nagsasabi na dapat onshore ka muna before applying because mas madali kang macontact since you already have an Australian number. Others say na possible daw makakuha while being offshore. Iba iba talaga.

actually we have same occupation and got same years of experience. maybe you to revamp your CV and provide cover letter to be more attractive. am planning also to apply offshore upon grant visa ko.

Ganyan din plan ko pero iba iba kasi stories ng mga tao when it comes to job hunting eh. Maraming nagsasabi na dapat onshore ka muna before applying because mas madali kang macontact since you already have an Australian number. Others say na possible daw makakuha while being offshore. Iba iba talaga.

True, ibat ibang experieces.. but one big factor i believed is how attractive is your profile is.
