just my 2cents lang din po, i created linkedin profiles, seek, indeed... tapos lahat din po nung mga different job websites specifically for the companies na ina-applyan ko, madami pong tumatawag, pero ang talagang nakatulong saken sa pagpasok sa current company ko was a headhunter here in AU, wag po tayo matakot sa mga headhunters, let them do the legwork when it comes to finding an employer for us
all the best po!
God Bless!

Sir pano kaya malalaman if legit yung headhunter / recruiter sa Au? I mean maliban sa mga kilalang companies. Haha. Just to get an idea lang in the future.

Dapat meron silang ABN. First thing is to google them up. Usually meron yan website or LinkedIn profile. Pwede ka rin mag ABN lookup here https://abr.business.gov.au/ to know that they are a registered business in Australia.
It's really helpful to engage some headhunters (yes you can engage more than one at the same time, paunahan na lang sila) while doing other effort on the side to find opportunities. Though, having headhunters should not stop you from appplying on your own unless you entered an agreement with one headhunter/recruitment company to exclusively represent you.
Meron rin naman chance na sila na yung lalapit sayo pag nasagap nila LinkedIn or Seek profile mo, and they thought swak sa role na nirerecruit nila.
DIY all the way. Avoid preachy, know-it-all, and unscrupulous agents AT ALL COSTS!

for me, normally with headhunters, they will send you an email confirming yung mga napag-usapan nyo over the phone, or over chat sa linkedin confirming the detailed description of the jobs na ino-offer nila, then you guys can do research if legit yung company they are trying to recruit from, just by doing a quick search via linkedin or google with regards to their company logo, normally sakin, via linkedin nila me nakokontak, so from their, i try to review their creds by checking their linkedin profile and such, once pa lang naman me naka-encounter ng scam profile, mula dun sa mga nang-aagaw ng sholes natin na bansa galing yung nagchat, siguro akala nila big-time ako di ko pinansin hehehe... ang malufet dyan, pag sanay ka na sa mga headhunters, ikaw na magsabi ng rate mo sa kanila
sites where you can check kung magkano dapat ang offer sayo will be:
glassdoor.com
then you can check on
https://au.talent.com/convert
if tama yung daily rate na expected mo
all the best sa job hunting!
God Bless!

AFAIK wala naman nagpeprevent na lumipat ng State as long as mag stay ka pa din sa designated regional area. Check mo lang sa State guidelines if kailangan magrequest pa ng release.

Kamusta ang job market for CE sa Australia ngayon? Currently waiting for my grant but I heard kasi sa kapatid ko sa AU na marami raw nalay-off sa company nila na CE. Although in-demand pa rin tayo based sa migration planning, how is the actual feel onshore?
And may masusuggest ba kayong field na maganda pasukan in the long run?

Guise, good to prepare well for the interview. Prepare all the answers to standard questions. Make sure you let them feel your can-do attitude and try to feel ano yung kailangan nila.
Just to get an interview is very tough, so I suggest polish niyo maigi mga answers nyo. Be as casual but formal as possible. (dont sound to rehearsed).
Before ending the interview, appeal to them. Ask them to select you from the candidates, remind them why they must select you.
When introducing yourself, try to explain to them how you end up today. They will remember all this story. Best to relate yourself to them. Malakas recall nyan pag nag deliberate sila.
Godbless!!!

Your feelings are valid. Do not downplay them just because of the suffering of others. You’ve accidentally nicked yourself using a knife, but that doesn’t mean it won’t bleed just because someone nearby got hacked by a machete.
I know that this is meant to be empowering, but sometimes feeling our feelings would make our burdens a bit lighter, and would even make us see a different perspective. Take a break. Sip a coffee or tea. Take a walk. Then face the challenge again.
I hope everything will get better po. You’re already there. Kaya po yan. Ok lang mafrustrate, that’s part of life. But don’t ever belittle your experience.
I have little to no advice to offer since I’m not yet in AU. But some advice I heard are:
1) Using recruitment agencies/ head hunters. Just pick them carefully.
2) Applying for jobs that are meant to just give you some local working experience.
3) Tailor fitting your resume for each job application.
4) Sending your resume directly to the hiring manager’s email address.
5) Removing Philippines in the resume (name of company, address of the company, etc.)
6) Putting your working rights (i.e. VISA SUBCLASS) in the resume.
7) Putting in the CITY in AU that you are in right now.
8) Creating a cover letter that will highlight your skills and how it will fit to the job.
These tips are from this forum, youtube and other sites that I frequent. Since I’m still waiting for my visa grant, I’m preparing already on which companies I should target directly and send expression of interest for opportunities.

Congrats in advance at Goodluck sa Big move mo soon.
