De Facto > Married

I received a pre-invite yesterday for 190. I lodged my EOI having a defacto and claimed 10 partner pts (competent and skilled). We are planning to get married soon, and we'd like to get some advice here if there's going to be any issues on our application. Once married we are planning to update the EOI immediately to inform the immigration. I read some cases for those who claimed to be Single then got married during the visa processing that got refused, but in our case, I have properly declared our relationship and claimed points so I'm not sure.

Hi! we were in the same situation. As per our agent's advice my partner and I got married before we lodged our visa. But we are still waiting for our grant tho sooo take it with a grain of salt.

Hi just to clarify the timeline: Pre-Invite - Apply for nomination - Receive formal nomination - Visa lodging, you got married before the visa lodge and after receiving a pre-invite?

Hello po, can I ask what are the required documents to change once married na po? Should I apply for change in surname in all of my documents? Thank you very much!

Hi po, all documents are still under maiden name pa rin po. We opt to keep the original na lang po para less hassle na. I think you can update na man after grant.

We're in the same boat; we got married months after we lodged our visa application. According to our agent, there are no issues; we just need to declare and inform immigration about the changes in circumstances (de facto to married) right after our marriage and submit our marriage certificate. However, we haven't received our grant yet. It's best to consult your agent or lawyer.

    Thanks. ☺️

I see po. However, I am still awaiting for an invitation po, samantalahin ko na po ba ipa change name yung documents ko kahit di pa naiinvite or okay lang po na maiden name po mga docs ko? Pasensya na po, DIY lang huhu. Thank you very much.

Hello po, is it ok to put na engaged sa status ng visa application? I claimed 5 pts for my de facto partner and we're going to be married this 25 Nov. Magkaka problem po kaya doon?
