Any March applicants na naka receive na ng result lately besides @ibaning? Applied March 18 pero till now wala pa result. Mukhang mas matagal yung waiting time ngayon.

Hi everyone, hingi lang po ako ng mga advise:

First, may 4 years experience ako ngayon as web developer dito sa Singapore, pero before that, nagwork ako as helpdesk support sa call center sa pinas. Kailangan ko pa ba magsubmit ng detailed CoE para dun sa first job ko, o OK na yung generic CoE na binigay nila noon?

Second, yung previous company ko dito sa SG, binigyan lang ako ng PDF version ng COE, may header and signature ng HR. I know di pwede yun, kaya kailangan ko ng statutory declaration. Pero pwede ba ipa-certify na true copy pag pinrint ko yun? Sorry kung stupid ang question na to, haha. Yun kasi dati ko na boss eh ayaw na makipagusap, kaya di na din ako makahingi ng printed copy.

@jr17sg dipende po anong occupation yng e papa assess nyo ksi kng for web developer po i dont think need nyo pa yng previous job nyo ksi hndi na sya relevant sa current work mo at hndi na din po sya ma count for your work experience for web developer. kng ITgrad po kyo i think 4 yrs is enough para mkakuha ng point pero 5 point nga lng po makukuha nyo na point ksi po less than 5 yrs is 5 point lng makukuha.. at yes need nyo po lahat e pa certify yng mga docs nyo.sana po nkatulong maski papano

Grabe paulit ulit kong binasa yung new ACS guidelines kasi di ko magets nung una. Dumadalaw-dalaw pa rin ako sa ibang forum para tumulong na rin at mangamusta at eto nabalitaan ko. I still have friends na ngayon pa lang nag peprepare for ACS and I'm not sure kung aware na sila rito.

Ang principle kasi before, separate yung pag assess ng DIAC and ACS for work experience. Ang titingnan lang nung DIAC is kung accredited ka sa nominated profession. And then titingnan pa rin nila yung mga employment letters to count yung number of years of experience. This is the reason kaya yung iba kahit positive yung ACS eh hiningan pa rin ng DIAC ng other documents like tax returns, bank statements etc. And you can still include sa number of years of total experience beyond yung sinubmit mo noon sa ACS as long as meron kang proof.

Follow-up question lang po. Need ko kc magpagawa ng statutory declaration. Pwede po ba na hindi supervisor ang gumawa nun? Yung ex-colleague ko nalang po sana. Pareho po kasi kami nagrereport directly sa ex-boss namin, eh yung ex-boss naman po namin parang bitter, ayaw na makipagusap. Bale 3 po choices ko na magdeclare, sino po sa palagay nyo ang best choice?

1. Ex-colleague ko na IT Engineer - resigned na din sa company, sya nakakaalam ng details ng job ko.
2. Ex-HR Executive - resigned na din sa company.
3. Assistant Sales Manager - nagwwork pa din sa company.

omg. i need to read the new acs rules. ni review ko yung assessment letter ko. meron din nakalagay sakin na:

“The following employment after January 2005 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261311 (Analyst Programmer) of the ANZSCO Code.”

I cannot say na this is because hindi relevant ang work experience ko. Here's the scenario... my employment on the same company with the same role is from Sep 2004 to Jun 2007. So yung from Jan 2005 to Jun 2007 lang icconsider nila eh i haven't changed my job role on that company. Ano ang logic bakit employment after Jan2005 lang ang icconsider?

I will send them an email to request for clarification.

@jr17sg regarding nman s statutory declaration..ako ksi ginawa ko ako ang gumawa ng statutory declaration then pinapirma ko s TL ko pero i think pwede din nman na colleague pero much better nga lng pag mas higher position syo...tpos lahat ng docs ko pina notaryo ko s pinas..ayun ok nman lahat at positive nman yng result skn...

@loadandclear - kung yung experience mo after January 2005 ang macoconsider, abot naman ng 8 years yun diba? from 2005 to 2013? so 15 points pa rin makukuha mo right?

i think the new assessment from ACS, ay requirement na yung minimum work experience...

and after that satisfying minimum number of years of work experience, dun pa lang mag start ang count ng "RELEVANT" work experience na pwede nyo i claim for EOI points..

^i see. ganun pala yun. so kulang ako ng 6 months to complete the 8 yrs. kase may work experience ako sa isang company na hindi analyst programmer ang role ko kaya hindi ko na sya dineclare. so 10 poinnts lang ako sa work experience.

ganito din ba pag nag submit ng EOI? so i need to wait for a few months more to complete my 8 yrs before i submit my EOI? Need ko pa siguro humingi ng updated COE sa present company ko to show na connected pako with them. kase i submitted my ACS assessment on march 2, so ang bilang nila ng years stops at march 2. From march 2 to sept 2, 6 months na na add...so 8 yrs na total work experience ko. so after sept 2 pako pwede mag submit ng EOI??

@loudandclear - if everything is correct (based on my understanding), yes parang ganun na nga dapat mong gawin para maging 15pts=8yrs ka sa work exp mo..

hindi natin alam kung iconsider ba ng DIAC ung ibang work exp mo na hindi na-assess as "RELEVANT" ng ACS.. for sure babasahin nila ang result ng assessment mo.. at malalaman nila kung alin lang ang na-assessed as relevant..

Hi all, I'm really concerned on what @ibaning pointed out. It seems that ACS has a new guideline in doing their assessment. You can see that they updated the pdf guideline found on their site. On the pdf, you can see the changes on item #4.

They added this new rule.

"Only employment completed after the date you have met the ACS requirements will be counted as skilled employment. Please see the Summary of Criteria for additional information."

Here is the link of the ACS requirement that you need to meet before they can count your employment as skilled employment (http://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0016/7324/Summary-of-Criteria.pdf)

From what I understand, if you have a bachelors degree with ICT MAJOR and this course is closely related to your nominated ANZSCO, you need to have 2 years of experience before you can be qualified for assessment. Then only the employment you have after that 2 years will be counted as skilled employment.

In my case, I am an BSIT graduate with more than 8 years of working experience as Analyst Programmer. They will then deduct 2 yrs from my 8 yrs of experience. This leaves me with 6 yrs of skilled employment which will only give me 10 points instead of 15 points if I had been assess with 8 years.

If you have a bachelor's degree with ICT MINOR and this course is closely related to your nominated ANZCO, you need to have 5 years of relevant experience. So 5 years will be deducted to your total work experience and the remaining will be your assessed number of years of skilled employment.

I've also check the other forum and all recent ACS assessment this month of May have this new format.

One thing that is not clear is if DIAC will still consider all your employment experience once you lodge your EOI and Visa application and disregard the lesser number of skilled employment years that ACS had assess.

Now I got it, thanks for the links. Additional info based on my case, ACS only assessed work experience for the last 10 years. So that started Mar 2003 since I submitted my ACS assessment Mar 2013. So from Mar 2003 to Mar 2013, they deducted 2 years.

Hello! Bago po ako sa forum, pero pinag-iisipan ko nang kunin ang first step sa Aussie dream sa pamamagitan ng pagpasa ng skills assessment sa ACS.

Hihingi lang po sana ng konting advice.

ECE graduate po ako at may 3 years work experience in IT. Balak ko sana mag-apply as an analyst programmer o kaya systems analyst. I-eevaluate ko pa sana. Magquaqualify ba yung degree ko as an ICT major? Or dapat ba maghintay pa ako ng next year (4 years work experience) o kaya magsubmit ng RPL (6 years -- medyo matagal pa...)?

Tama rin po ba na dahil sa mga bagong policy ng ACS, ang i-aassess lang ng ACS sa skilled employment ay yung experience after nung first two years? Ibig sabihin ba nito ay 1 year lang ang i-aassess nilang skilled employment ko, at hindi ako pwede mag-claim ng points para dun sa 3 years na total work experience?

Pasok pa rin naman sa cut-off if ever di ko makukuha yung 3 years, kaya lang sayang din yung 5 points, saka kailangan kong bawiin nang todo sa IELTS.

tanong naman po. i received my acs result, yung sa degree ko po which is BS computer science, nakalagay po is comparable to AQF advance diploma with major in computing. Meaning ba nito 10 points lang pede ko claim sa education?

Sa work experience naman, "the following employment after june 2004 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level...." which means 15 points?

Yung concern ko yung sa educ, bakit advance diploma instead of bachelor? dahil po ba sa school?

@ljdelu - yes, you can claim 10 points sa education qualification mo. malamang dahil sa school yan.

sa work experience, bilangin mo yung ilang years yung na assess as relevant work experience mo. pag lagpas ng 8 years, 15 points makukuha mo dun.

Question po, binawasan ba nila ang employment years mo? Kailan ka nagsimula mag work sa nominated job mo?

@RyanJay sorry nakalimutan ko sagutin question mo. yes, binawasan nila from june 2000 to 2007 ang first job ko, diretso yun at same position analyst programmer. pero from june 2004 lang yung start na nakalagay sa letter. parang ang higpit na nila.
