The new process will start by July 2013 pero yung criteria will be in October pa. Ano kaya ibig sabihin ng criteria na yan?

ang akala ko po ok lang mag apply ng SS basta basta may 6 s IELTS like sa WA n 6 ang required for each band???? kahit hindi 55?

@bachuchay @strader - you can only apply:
a) for visa 190- if you have 55pts, once SS is approved you will get additional 5 pts
b) Visa 489- if you have 50 pts, once SS is approved you will get additional 10pts

if you see the statement from WA website;

To apply for a Skilled Sponsored Visa you require sponsorship from a state or territory, such as the Government of Western Australia. All sponsorship applicants must meet the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) criteria set for General Skilled Migration .

To apply for State Sponsorship from Western Australia you will need the following:
1. to have submitted an Expression of Interest in SkillSelect with Department of Immigration and Citizenship and acquired an EOI number;

they will need your EOI number, so pag nacheck nila na ang EOI pts mo is not enough, they wont be able to invite you for a visa application..

technically yes, you can apply kahit kulang pa ang points mo, you have i think 30 or 60 days to accept the approved SS application... but what would say pag sinabi nila na kulang ang points mo kahit i-approved nila ang SS mo..

you can take the risk..

We just apply for WA SS (200aud)...we will wait for 30 days as per website, hopefully within 30 days lng pr di na umabot sa mga bagong changes [-O<

D po b ko maka acquire ng EOi number if mag log in me eoi for score of 45 pts..voz rrquired po s eoi is positive skills assessment and ang po score ko? I apply ko n sna WA SS ko..while waiting for my IELTs score of 7..since may waiting time p po yung approval ng wa ss ng 30 days..

@bachuchay - I'm not sure po. Hndi po ako familiar sa eoi website/screens..But you can try. Pwde nyo nmn I save yan habng naghhntay kyo ng ielts..

@meehmooh once you are approved sa wa ss application. Ilang days dapat mag.apply kana sa diac? Mag.expire yong invitation nila dba?
a) i think you have 60 days (dati ito pero wala na akong makitang reference sa WA website) to accept the nomination, sign the agreement and reply to their email

b) then they will issue the visa invitation via skillselect, from here you will have another 60 days to lodge your visa application, otherwise the EOI/Skillselect invitation will expire..

Hi, Visa 190 po kayo? If yes, mabilis lang po. Yung sa amin po, the next day we received the DIAC invite from skillselect.

@aliane - congrats.. normally 2-3 days upon acceptance of WA SS, they will issue the invitation to apply for the visa (thru EOI/skillselect)
thanks for sharing the info on the 28-days period to accept the SS..

@carrie - hindi kasama ang Visa 190 sa regular invitation cycle ng DIAC..pang 189/489 lang yun...
since Visa 190 is State Sponsored, yung State ang mag-issue ng invitation thru EOI/Skillselect..
so anytime pwede sila mag issue ng invitation..

I got my Vetassess assessment today and will be taking the ielts exam in July. Naabutan ko iyong change.

Nabasa ko iyong new process for WA SS effective July. Ibig sabihin kelangan ko muna ma-invite before mag-apply ng WA SS?

Ang EOI ba ay online lang or may mga documents din na i-sesend. Would you know?

Changes to State sponsorship

From 1 July 2013 the process for State sponsorship will be changing and the Department of Training and Workforce Development will no longer accept direct applications.

The new process will be as follows:

1 Submit an expression of interest to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship via the SkillSelect database.

2 The Department selects applicants from SkillSelect and offers an invitation to apply for State sponsorship.

3 If invited to apply, you will be given a unique identifier to submit an application to the Department of Training and Workforce Development.

To be considered for State sponsorship you must meet the current 2012-13 criteria for State sponsorship which is available on the How to apply for State sponsorship page.

It is anticipated that a new criteria will be implemented on 1 October 2013.

@anjcostelo congrats for the positive result. Yes we need to wait, the state will be the one to invite us now. July din naman ako magtake ng ielts. When ka magtake July27? Basta di nalang ako magmamadali kasi aabot din naman ako sa changes sa July. ^^

By the way, eoi is online only. you can see that sa diac site. You need to declare and answer their questions there and no sending of documents at eoi stage.

@anjcostelo - Congrats po sa positive assessment. Nevermind the changes as of now...just focus on your preparation for ielts especially if you are aiming for the higher score of atleast 8 to claim higher points?

Anyway, change of process lang naman po iyun...baka sinisugurado lang nila ngayon na mag a apply talaga ng visa yung mga nag-apply ng State sponsorship.

The more critical factor po is to apply the EOI (after your ielts) and then the SS BEFORE 1 OCt 2013 kasi nagre-review din po ang WA ng kanilang skills listing kaya some skills may not be offered for state sponsorship after the said date.

Upcoming changes to the Western Australian skilled migration occupation list

Please be advised that the Western Australian skilled migration occupation list (WASMOL) is currently under review and some occupations may close at short notice.

When an occupation closes it will be listed as ‘Not available’ on the Occupations in demand page and State sponsorship applications for that occupation will not be accepted.

Applications lodged prior to the WASMOL changes will not be affected.

It is anticipated that a new WASMOL will be implemented on 1 October 2013.

Sa July 6 ako. malapit na. Dito ka ba sa Singapore magtatake? Iyong EOI may kelangan ba i-upload na docs or pagcomplete lng ng form?

@gotowaoz, Pag na-invite na ako ng DIAC, mag-apply ako ng SS sa WA. Online lang din ba iyon or may ipapasa din akong docs? Eto iyong nakita kong criteria online. or pa-share saan ko makikita iyong details nun.

Salamat sa guidance nung submission ko sa vetasses ha,. Tama ka concentrate sa IELTS kasi in 2 weeks nalang.

Provide evidence of successful lodgement of an Expression of Interest for General Skilled Migration

• Have an occupation on Western Australia’s State Priority Occupation List (SPOL) on the date of

Wala kang i.upload sa eoi..complete mo lang yong form nila na ilang pages. Since aabotan ka narin ng July bago maka apply sa SS kailangan maghintay na tayo na ang WA mag.invite sa atin mag.apply sa state nila. ^^ btw, pinas ako magtake di ako ofw eh..cebu ako magtake ng exam.

@anjcostelo Tama si @strader, just fill in the applicable fields sa EOI. It will then compute your points. Please note that, with the changes in the process for WA Sponsorship, please be careful with the points to claim since yun ang magiging basis na ma invite ng state.

Also, may field dun sa EOI that asks you "In which State or Territory would the client be interested in seeking nomination Western Australia from?" pwede po kayo mag indicate ng lahat ng State na gusto nyo maka receive ng invitation kasi all the States you select may view your EOI and invite you. However, kung ang target State nyo po talaga is WA, I suggest that you only indicate WA kasi they prioritize (subject to the fulfilling the SS requirements of course), those who selected their state alone.

Meron din po isang tanong doon, if you are interested na ma sponsored by an employer...papapiliin ka din ng State. If you are interested po sa visa type na sponsored by employer, you can choose din which states. I think it's still better to choose WA. Shows your commitment to their state.

Feeling ko yung mangyayari for State Nomination parang same na din sa pag-aantay ng invite ng Visa 189 in which may cycle yung pagpili ng iinvite to lodge their visa. Parang mas maganda talaga kung mataas yung points mo. Hindi na din kasi sure kung pwede ka pa dn magsubmit ng EOI kahit 55pts ka palang at mgkaron ng provisional na +5 for State Sponsorship. Anybody knows kung pwede pa dn yung 55 + 5 state sponsorship or baka dapat 60 above ka na agad. hays.

Hi @Strader, @wizz, nabasa ko ung mga posts and replies nyo ni @anjcostelo about sa changes sa WA SS this June 6 2013.Sorry hindi ako ganun ka well versed about this pero would you know ano exactly ang effect sa atin nito? Longer waiting period ba ito talaga?

May nakalagay din kse dun na ang current processing time is 7 working days. So medyo naguguluhan ako.

I'm currently waiting for my Vetasses papers, kailangang ko yung number ko there para maka proceed ako sa EOI. And all along I thought after ng EOI ko, WA SS na ako agad, then hindi pa pala.

I think if the state will invite you to apply the processing time would be 7 working days nalang..granted that you are invited already because u need to wait their invitation. Di pareho before na pwede ka mag.apply ng state sponsorship.. so mas madali cguro lalo na kung di masyado mahigpit ang competition sa occupation mo. ^^
