So you think I have a possibility that i'll be offered the job but giving me low-starting salary? I think this is employer's strategy to get experienced candidate on a bargain price..
Parang binabarat ang mga migrants..

But anyway, if i will be offered tatanggapin ko even if it is 45k.
What do you think?

It could be... Anyway, the decision on accepting is yours to ponder!

Always remember if you've been given work prior from offshore swerte ka na. I have a mate here na Pinoy din, he arrived last January and until now wala pa sya work unfortunately. He is in IT but am not familiar with his expertise.

Kami ni misis, although di kami IT, it took us around 2 months to secure a job...

Hi guys! I plan to enter Oz through visa 476 by next year. Kaso I will only have one year of industry experience by then at sa Pinas pa yung experience na yun, although it's with a multinational company. Will it be possible for me to land a job pagdating sa Oz? Kahit mababang sweldo lang as long as in line sa career ko since I am aspiring to apply for visa 189 afterwards. I'm an electrical engineer by the way, and I can only work in Sydney.

Tagilid ka sa industry experience to be honest, more so wala ka din local experience which is very important thing here but hey you can always find ways to go around that like connections, an impressive resume and cover letter, etc.

depende sa specialty mo ... kung katulad ko na programming using Powerbuilder ( kung narinig mo na yan ) mejo mahihirapan ka .... if you are in programming get a SSIS/SSAS SSRS course .. kung sa NETWORK and or TECHINCAL ka .. get at least a MICROSOFT CERTIFICATION or a CCNA ( tama ba ?? ) kasi it will help

Okay, thanks for this. One more thing, diba may mga skills training program sa Oz? Kung mag-enroll ako sa mga ganun, how much is it going to help me land a job? At matagal ba yung mga ganun?

Yup maganda mag palaki ng anak dito .. costly pero dito you get to spend more time on your kid ...

dito inde mo kailangan mag trabaho ng 2 para mabuhay ... bago mag gabi kasama mo na pamilya mo ... every day I drop and pickup my son on school talagang ma susubaybayan mo ... pag weekends dahil wala ka masyadong kakilala im sure pamilya lang ang aasikasuhin mo .... pag mag leave ka no big deal sa mga company yung ibang kumpanya dito pwede ka payagan mag work from home .... ang down side lang sa nakikita ko ngayon parang mas maganda ang school natin sa pagtuturo siguro kasi mahigpit sila dito kasi relax ...

Salamat sa encouragement ng mga forumers here. I was able to get a job after 2 months. I'm here in Sydney but we will be flying out to Melby tomorrow since andun yung work. hehehe It's a 4-month contract pero oks lang since important to get local experience. It's really a blessing since they offered me the job after they did a phone interview, which according to them, they don't normally do.. To be honest, I really did not expect to get the job. After receiving so many rejections, naging bato na ata ako. hehehe

Another blessing is, may child care centre nearby na may vacancy! The role is so urgent that I have to start on Monday na, after 1 week the offer was given.

Kaya for the job-seekers, hanap lang nang hanap. Don't give up! I sometimes thought of going back to the Philippines nung puro rejection letters lang nakukuha ko and halos walang mag-interview sakin kahit na halos 5-10 applications ang sinusubmit ko per day! Feeling ko ang incompetent ko and I hated my skillset kase nakikita ko na mas maraming job posting sa ibang SAP domain. hehehe Sabi nga ni hubby, skilled migrant visa ang hawak natin. May skills tayo na kelangan ng Au kaya nabigyan ng visa ng DIAC. hehehe

And also, learn to assess yourself very well, ano ung mga skills nyo apart from your core expertise/job titles. Kase dito sa Australia, very specific sila sa skills. Wala silang pakialam sa lahat ng nahandle nyo na projects or skillset nyo na hindi related sa hinahanap nila. hehehehe Kaya tightly coupled ito with the fact na kelangan highly customised ang resume. And be open to the opportunities kase it can be wherever. hehehe

Most important of all, pray and seek God's will wholeheartedly. It's God who can make miracles in this situation.

in this case na out of state ang job offer, did the company offer any relocation assistance?

@lock_code2004 nope hehheeh i expected it kase contract lang naman to. yup lipat muna kami melby tapos habang andon, apply pa rin ako sa sydney pag may job postings na sa skillset ko tlg :-) sabi ng locals here, minsan mahirap din interstate application..
