:) 2yrs validity naman nun e. and by that time siguro naman okay na writing ko kasi ngayon wala naman talga kong practice for writing, im not even expecting to get a 7 right now. :)

@knoxville, di totoo un sabi ng agency.. The 1 year nursing conversion course are for overseas nurses who wish to gain registration as nurse in australia. Upon completion of the course, you are eligible to apply for registration to aphra basta you have complied the requirements.. You can check the course description na nakalagay sa websites ng universities na nagooffer nito like flinders, deakin, curtin at Queensland univ.. For more details..

I am new in this forum and I would to ask for some advice for my situation.

I am an RN but I have no experience yet. I want to take up a BN Degree in Melbourne since andun relatives ko. Do you know of any info about ACU's nursing program? I have read somewhere that it is a good nursing uni although I'm not sure how reliable that info is. Alam ko Deakin is really good but they require all 7 sa ielts which I was not able to get sa writing :-< My choices would be VU, RMIT, Monash & ACU. Monash is a known uni but ACU is way affordable. I just hope the cheaper costs does not compromise the quality of the education? I hope someone could help me with this. Thank you so much. I am planning to get in for Feb 2014 so I needed to decide na on which school to enrol.

    Hi ka pinoyau!

My wife is currently working as a clinical instructor in one of the big universities here in manila, she's also a registered nurse for 14 years. Given that she passed the ielts acad 7 across all bands, will she be considered qualified by aphra for bridging?

What are the requirements of aphra aside from ielts 7?

    Thanks and God bless

@Santi AHPRA requires international nurse applicants now to have at least 2yrs experience, PRC license and other documents, would require as well all school documents (TOR, Diploma, etc) as well as continuing professional education documents pero if she's still working naman she doesn't need it she just needs to provide documents from her employer and a job description... hope that helps..

@tompitt03 for her to get a nurse license here in Australia, she needs to get assessed by AHPRA, first step is IELTS at least all 7.0 in all areas would be the passing... then she needs to submit all documents AHPRA will ask here from school, PRC, current employer and then they will give her a letter to say she needs to take a bridging course, then that letter is what the school would require para they will give her a slot to do the bridging program then after 3months she gets her license, then job hunt or she can even enrol in a Master's degree for 2 years then apply for a permanent residency.. :) good luck

@dianepaj thanks a lot. How much would it cost us for the APHRA assessment? Timelines before they release the decision?

    Hello all,

Does it make a difference in the tuition fee if you take the bridging program as a PR compared to when you take it as an international student?

May friend kasi ako na PR and halos walang binayaran nung nag bridging. I was thinking its a discounted fee or probably fee help. Can you avail of the fee help right after PR grant?

    Thanks guys.

Hi everyone. I'm just new here po. Just want to ask po regarding sa situation ko po. Registered nurse po ako dito sa Philippines since 2011 pero was pa po akong nursing experience. My concern po is, should I register first sa AHPRA para maassess po nila, required po ba un? or can I directly look for Universities na pwede ko mag aral at pagkatapos ko dun saka po magparegister sa AHPRA? Thanks po sa mga sasagot po.

Just a reminder mas mahirap mag hanap ng work in au for nurses if walang experience.
    Ielts first...7 in all subjects
    Aprha to asses docs
Docs ok then look for school for bridging
    Pass bridging
Register for rn license with aphra
    Job hunting!!
Also... Dito sa nsw most of the big public hospitals do NOT offer work visas na. So if no work visa or pr visa = no job offers.
but remeber if may au rn license na kayo and ielts of 7 in all bands pwdi kayo mag apply on ur own skill independent visas!
Ung friend ko 6 months after bridging no job offers until she got p.r. But once may pr na sya may offer agad kahit 2 yrs lng ata job experience nya sa pinas.
Mas mahirap na to look for work now compared to 3 yrs ago PERO if you have the right paperworks..nurses are luckier compared to other professions.

Hello guys! Just a quick question, hanggang kailan pwedeng mag pa assess sa AHPRA? Is there a period of time after graduation or after the last relevant nursing experience na pwedeng mag pa assess? Thanks everyone!
