@TasBurrfoot aw. tyaga lang po talaga no. hehe regarding po pala sa work experience, na in latter part ng application mo going to australia ay big impact pala sya. so for me, having only a year of work experience is not yet advised to apply for a working visa?

Ang question you may want to ask is that if you only have 1 year of work experience, are you qualified for a visa ba? Kasi less than zero work experience is 0 pts out of a maximum 15pts for work experience. Plus, I reckon you may be a bit younger and may not be eligible to claim the maximum 30pts based on age.

@renee wala din ako separate subject na Accounting Theory noon kasi included sya sa other subjects. Yung mga sylabus ng other subjects will support your core knowledge in Acctg Theory.

Just an idea: why not make a statutory declaration na wala kayong separate subject na Accounting Theory kasi included sya sa ibat ibang subjects. And then include mo sa statutory declaration yung mga topics na pinag aralan nyo na related sa Acctg Theory at specify mo kung saang subject sya included.

I have now finally received the employment assessment, and thank you Lord and both jobs are closely related. I have submitted the EOI claiming 70 points. Sana po makakuha ng invitation sa next round.

Next step is membership assessment. There are two type of member, associate and professional level. Anyone here na nagtake ng six education segments and the practical experience requirement?

Yung practical experience eh dapat inside au?

Yung six education segments eh kailangan pa ba kahit na yung degree is equivalent to AU Degree?

Based on the migration assessment, yung Bachelor’s degree ko is equivalent to AU degree. Tapos yung 9 years work experience ko for the past 10 years eh closely related to my nominated skill (i.e, general accountant).

after mo mapasa ang membership assessment pwede ka na magpa member sa CPAA as an associate; only then can you be able to work on your practical work experience and the 6 papers that you need to complete.

practical experience are not necessarily from australia; my wife completed this part already after filling out a form lang which outlines her work as an external accountant previously.

The 6 education segment is a must; dito sila kumukita eh (roughly $900/paper), my wife just took her first last month. Hopefully pasado naman as mahal ang cost if mag retake.

In finding work, are there any edge if you put CPA - Associate Member? Or is it the same thing as being Non-CPA?

Nope kung tapos kna exam and ok na assessment mo then yung experience requirements nlang need mo para formalized na cpa australia kna. Exp requirements kahit di sa australia kung pasok sa hinahanap nila

wala pa po ako sa Au....will be flying on February next year pa po...but nagpa-member na po ako sa CPAA...also applied for the Practical Exp.Reqt...okay naman po kahit experience sa pinas eh...wala din naman pong bayad ang application nito...

ang next, and last step, will be the 6 paper exams as mentioned by @TasBurrfoot ... may kamahalan po ito so i think I'll take this nalang kun gmay trabaho na ako sa Oz...

Oo, do it in Australia na @staycool... Maybe (just maybe), your firm can be able to sponsor the exams for you. I know in certain department sa company namin, they would reimbursement you if ever your pass your exams.

I am hoping makapasok si misis sa company namin para libre ang aral nya.

No need to cross your finger it will come at around 9PM a day before the date of the next round; it will come on a Sunday...

Hmmm; ctc of your docs, nbi clearance, medicals, form 80 - try mo ito sagutan, mahaba kasi ito and sometime hinihingi ito...

@TasBurrfoot Wow! Thanks! I think the next round would be December 2 (normally two weeks after the last round).

I have already completed my Form 80, and have all the CTCs of docs. Medyo masakit ata sa ulo yung NBI Clearance. But hopefully we complete all the docs in no time.

Heto reply ng cousin ko na CPA sa melbourne. Kasi plano ko april or may 2014 pupunta sa melbourne.

"From what I know, the job market is not at its best during April / May. There are always accounting jobs available, but I think it will be a bit slow. Companies are in the middle of completing their budgets for the next financial year and are trying to get their budgets approved to hire new staff. Once the budgets are locked in and approved, the companies will start to hire, so it could possibly pick up around June through to July with August being a really good time to look for jobs. In saying that, it also depends on what type of accounting job you are looking for."
