    hi bookworm, para ba yan dun sa estimate of living expenses? yung ginawa ko, di ko na ini-specify na car mortgage. general estimates yung ginawa ko, like how much for transpo, accommodation, meals, miscellaneous allowance, clothing.

    Sobrang hirap pag walang sasakyan dito lalo na kung mag-grocery kayu. Kung magisa ka mas maganda tumira malapit sa bus interchange every 15 minutes ang dating ng bus o kaya yung "Red & Blue Rapid Bus" route ng bus na ang daan ay Bus intechange to Bus interchange (city to city) link: http://www.action.act.gov.au/

    Actually, I will be going alone. I was thinking of buying a bike instead, but from your comments, parang di ata kakayanin.

    @bandofbenjamin, yes, this is for expenses. I wasn't going to indicate car mortgage and will put it under the transpo expenses, but when I was checking the budget forum, everyone from canberra had car mortgage included in their expenses. In other states, they had transpo, which is bus or other kinds of transpo. So it just got me wondering.

    @totoyozresident, thanks! That's what I needed to know, yung kung san yung area na malapit sa mga bus. Guess spoiled ako dito sa taiwan kasi sobrang convenient ng transpo.

    Ask ko lang sana.. I'm on 190 visa state sponsored. Pag dating ko, klangan ba na mag "courtesy call" sa ACT? Or will I have to inform them na dumating na ako? Or automatic na yan dun sa immigration? clarify ko lang, namention lang ng friend ko na nandyan na sa au although skilled independent yung sa kanya.. Hope may mag respond asap kasi will be leaving na next week. Thanks!

    ang pagkakaalam ko, puwede, as long as dun ka pa din nagta trabaho. But you need to show proof na dun ka pa din nagta trabaho.

    20130622 - Took the IELTS exam (L:8, R:7, W:8.5, S:8.5, OBS:8)
    20131008 - Created and submitted EOI account
    20131216 - Started gathering documents for ACT SS
    20140113 - Submitted ACT SS nomination
    20140227 - assigned a case officer :)
    20140317 - Finally got my ACT sponsorship!
    20140319 - Invited to apply (visa 190)
    20140325 - Lodged visa 190
    20140718 - Direct visa grant. IED: July 17, 2015
    20150203 - Landed in ACT :) Job hunt begins
    201510 - Started working at Woolies
    20161031 - landed a job in my field as a junior
    20180508 - landed a job in my field

    Question po. My sister will be applying for act state sponsorship as a retail buyer. One of the requirements is to provide atleast five job postings in your nominated occupation that is relevant to your skill set. But the problem is when i look up at seek.com there is no job opening for retail buyer. My question is pwede ba na she will provide other job postings na hindi mismo "retail buyer" but still relevant to her skill set?like jobs in retail/merchandising etc? May nakaexperience nadin po b neto pero nakakuha padin ng state sponsorship?

    July 22, 2013 : ACS assessment result
    January 3, 2014: IELTS Result (Take 1 L-8,W,R,S-7)

    February 9, 2014: Lodged visa
    March 1, 2014: Medicals at NHSI
    March 6: email from CO requesting form 80 and hubby's NBI Clearance
    March 25, 2014: visa grant. Thank you lord
    June 8,2014: Hubby arrived in Sydney
    Sept 11,2014: Hubby's first day of work. Thank you Lord!
    Feb 7, 2015 : Baby and I arrived in Sydney
    April 13, 2015: My first day of work :)

    @kremitz yup pwede basta related sa nominated na skill nia. Nnagyari sakin before yan.. nagpasa ako ng mga hindi masyadong related na job postings, hiningan ako ng bagong batch. Maghanap daw ako ng mas related. Ayun. try mo din sa ibang sites madami naman. :)
