@kabayan isesend sa address na nilagay mo mga brochures lang about Canberra. kasama din dun ung printed na Welcome to Canberra na letter.. something like that.. yun lang basically makikita mo rin un sa website nila.

@quelly, eto nagaantay na ng CO, tapos nadin kami magmedical, basically complete na lahat. CO nalang at grant. ang hirap mag hintay hehe, nakakainip pero konteng chaga nalang at andjan na.. Go mo na yan application mo ng SS tumatakbo oras

, wala naman silang hiningi na proof, dineclare ko naman mostly are hard assets e, wala maciadong cash at nakalaan na for the lodging hehe.. actually may mali pa nga akong declaration about dun sa research ng living costs e. pero ginrant naman nila and im so thankful.

@quelly, nung nag submit ako ng doc sa ACT SS, di naman hinigan ng proof. Kailangan mo lang i fill up yung form, then pa notarize mo.
Yung s job description, save as PDF mo lang yung mga nakikitang mong trabho na para sa work mo.
Yung para sa actual expenses, nag search ako ng budgets dito: pinoyau.info/discussion/1052/au-migrants-pls-share-your-weekly-budget, tapos ang tinignan ko, yung mga asa canberra. Then nag estimate ako, based on those.

oo nga pala, kahit na submit mo na EOI, mag submit ka na din ng state sponsorship. Yan ang mali ko, inintay ko haha. Nung Oct pa ako gumawa ng EOI account, akala ko, need to wait lang, yun pala, kailangan din mag apply for state sponsorship.

@bookworm, eto yung link sa 190 document checklist. Mostly meron ka na nian lahat since youve lodged your SS, except the character requirements and medicals, plus forms such as the form 80 and form 1221.

first question: with my experience, when i passed the first 5 job ads, it was currently open during the time of my application. Now i made a mistake na nakapagsama ako ng 2 opening from a govt office. the ACT SS CO asked me additional 2, kc nga daw govt office usually require certain clearances for PRs. So I passed an additional which is current naman during the time na humingi ng additional job posts.

Here is the catch, I asked the CO if the previous 3 was still valid, the CO replied that she needs only 2 thus making my first 3 valid. I might not answer your question directly but you might deduce something from what ive experienced.

The CO reiterated that they included this process para magkaron na ng idea yung applicant on what jobs are there for them. (In my opinion, i find this strange dahil the fact na nasa State occupation list tayo, they should be the ones that would present us the openings, not the other way around. But this is their rule, its our choice din naman kaya tayo andito and so everything's good

--share lang hehe).

Australia is really a dream for us and now is near reality.

second question: My biggest guide to write this one up is still from the canberra website. I just restructured it in a way na magmuka cia na niresearch talaga. Other forums served as guides as well such as the expat forums. Share ko nalang yung format nung gawa ko to help others.

a. why did I choose canberra - i compared canberra to magulong manila. elaborate
b. where did you get the infos that you write - internet, websites, magazines, elaborate
c. what did you like about canberra - eto galing lang sa website ng canberra
- activities that you like
- location
- population
- education
- way of life
- expenses compared to other cities
- if there is a job demand for you there in Canberra
d. conclude mo nalang yung whole statement.
e. review and print as pdf.

a. yes, notarized and scanned copy (ako, hndi naman ako hiningan ng abogado ng proof, kung asa pinas ka, usually naman madali lang magpanotary eh. hehe)
b. if you're referring to the commitment to canberra statement- hndi ko na pinanotary to.
c. I reviewed what i've typed, then save as pdf ko lang cia then ready for upload na yon.

lodge mo na agad yan, nagiisa na ang act as ss for us.

Hello to all...currently nasa vetassess phase na po ako done with my IELTS 14th lalabas yung results...

1.)meron po ba dito nagwowork as arch or eng draftsperson...sa experience po nila gaano katagal makakuha yung mga nasa ganitong line of work na nasa loob na nang ACT?...

2.)hindi ko pa sure paano gumagana yung state sponsorship if any, pwede magpaenlighten tungkol dito please...? salamat currently yung ss na meron ako for my s.occupation is sa ACT which is canberra po lamang...: )

3.)kung dumating na po ako ACT in case pwede kaya ako bumili nang segundamanong sasakyan agad?...salamat

got my ACT state sponsorship approved 2 weeks ago. about to file my visa application. But, after doing all my research, architectural jobs are pretty hard to come by in ACT. would it be different if i look for a job when i
am there already? thanks.

@quelly, I found this but for a different state (Did not include onshore applicant info):
11.2 Financial requirement:

Applicants need to have combined cash and assets within the range listed in the table below. As a guideline, when applicants arrive in South Australia, Immigration SA recommends that offshore applicants have $20,000 in cash and onshore applicants have $5,000 in cash for settlement. Applicants should not dispose of any assets before the visa is granted.

Family composition
Offshore Applicant: Combined cash & assets requirement

Main applicant only
Total figure between AUD$ 20,000 - 25,000

Main applicant plus one (1) dependent
Total figure between AUD$25,000- 30,000

Main applicant plus two (2) dependents
Total figure between AUD$30,000 - 35,000

Main applicant plus three (3) dependents
Total figure between AUD$35,000 - 40,000

2.)hindi ko pa sure paano gumagana yung state sponsorship if any, pwede magpaenlighten tungkol dito please...? salamat currently yung ss na meron ako for my s.occupation is sa ACT which is canberra po lamang...: )

For number 2, each state has different requirements. So AU as a whole may not need your skill, you certain regions do. In your case, like me, only ACT or Canberra sponsors our skills. Submit your papers for sponsorship and if they say yes, they will sponsor you, you will get additional points, but you will have to stay in that state for at least 2 years (correct me if this is wrong).

haha am interested to learn about number 3 as well. How easy or hard is it to buy a car thru loan? I assume it would not be an issue if you buy it outright but getting a loan might be another case entirely.

@doon, I am still waiting for my ACT SS. I hope I get it soon.
with regards to work, same here. And the ones I saw required security clearance. With availability of work, I think it is the same, the need for you to be there is when you start applying as they prefer that you are already there with a definite date of arrival before they even consider your application.

@jeorems, by DIAC, you mean EOI? Nag submit na ako ng EOI before, bago ko nalaman yung sa state sponsorship. Ang kailangan mo lang naman sa EOI e yung IELTS, assessment. Submit ka ng EOI then lahat ng state i add mo haha. Yun ang mali ko last year. Di ko nilagay lahat ng state, ayun, na delay tuloy. Di ko nalaman na sponsored ng ACT yung work ko.

hmm kumpara sa kung asaan tayo ngayon baratan sahod diyan at dito may mga above aforementioned na tips na ata di ko marecall saang page...na ang iwasan ko daw e yung mga chinese or korean companies if in any case na maengkwentro ko...

pero i worked with an aussie company sa makati...so far mababait sila at madali kausap...specially sa benepisyo, oras, sahod at conditions nyo...pag nagmeet kayo sa gitna...sobrang fair yun sa kanila...

"SASAKYAN!!!" woot..haha nangangarap palang naman ako...so makabili man o hinde...ok lang din...
