    just wanna ask about this points option:

    "Qualifications
    What is your highest Qualification?
    20: Recognised PhD
    15: Recognised Bachelor degree (including a Bachelor degree with Honours or Masters) "

    if I select recognized bachelor degree , will ACS assess my degree + IT certs?

    Hi @ace_jef.. welcome to the forum..

    the answer on which to claim for your education qualification should be coming from your assessing authority.. your assessment result will include what to claim for points system (diploma, bachelor, etc)

    they will assess your degree against the australian standard (AQF)..
    so even if you have a bachelors degree from philippines, it doesnt mean you'll get an equivalent bachelors degree (based on their assessment)..

    some says the assessment is based on school classification, course content and your grades..
    but you can somehow make an assumption based on previous results from forum members..

    example: a bachelors degree from a school classification 1, will most likely be assessed as an equivalent bachelors degree in AU.. therefore you can claim for the 10 points..

    hope this helps..

    im not sure with the 4th and 5th points, where did you get this info?

    - the 4th item is only if you are claiming for AU education requirement (5pts), meaning if you studied in Australia.. this is entirely different from the partner's skill points (5pts). several of the forum members here claimed partner points, even if their partner did not study in AU.

    - the 5th item, is dependent on the skills assessment, as long as you can pass the skills assessment then i think that would be fine.. so i suggest check her assessing authority's requirements.

    @sydneyblued thanks for the reply and congrats on the visa, fresh na fresh pa! :) regarding the medicals, once they are requested, wala naman po bang expiry date? i'm just worried that i'll be out of the country when they send the request, baka di ko ma-accomplish agad, around 1 month din kasi ako mawawala.

    @abc27 you'll be given 28 days ng CO mo to submit medicals & police clearance when requested. Pero may excemptions naman po if you'll not be able to meet the 28 days like you just need to provide evidence like receipt na in process na or confirmation of sched kung kelan medical exam...

    I think you may delay the medical exam sched mo kung kailan ka makakabalik as long as makapagpa-sched ka na once ni-request ni CO, you may send the medical sched confirmation from the clinic sa kay CO mo para at least alam nyang in-process na & you're just waiting for your sched... and if ever pwede mo din mention sa kanya na you're out of the country kaya yun ang sched ng medical exam mo. ;)

    it is what it is...
    since wala sa list ng State ang occupation mo, you have to satisfy the off-list criteria.. check mo ang specific website kung saan mo nakita yan, and then check kung pasado ka..

    otherwise, look for for other states who can approve your State Sponsorship..

    you may also ready your ITRs, payslips and bank statements. If you are married, your marraige contract and your spouse may also request from his school a certification of medium of instruction. Your NSO birth certificate, same with your dependents if theres any. For the NBI, i suggest na hwag ka munang kumuha wait mo munang mainvite ka, para mas matagal IED mo. Nakabase kse usually ang IED sa NBI clearance mo or medicals.

    Hi @josecruz12..welcome to the forum..
    to simplify, eto ang basic steps 1) Skills Assessment/IELTS, 2) EOI, 3) State Sponsorship (if required), 4) Visa invitation/application

    I suggest you read other threads here, especially:
    - EOI points system
    - How SkillSelect works
    - and lastly thread relevant to your nominated skill (Engineer, IT, Accountant...etc)..

    may specific thread din po for those who are in SG..
    goodluck..

    @glaiza1210 thanks for the advice!

    So kumukuha pala sila ng payslips, ITR and bank statements. Bakit wala yun sa 189 checklist? Do they also require the COEs or enough na yung skills assessment result from ACS (or other assessing bodies)?

    @abc27 if i may answer..
    kung hindi galing sa HR with official company letterhead ang mga COE at job desc mo, possible na hingian ka pa ng other proof of employment (those mentioned by @glaiza1210)..

    for me, since i have my ITR, pero not the bank statements, inupload ko na lang din, para walang question ang CO.. pero ung nga, those are just supporting documents in case hanapin ng CO..

    @sydneyblued i see, thanks for the advice! would you know if pwede magpa-sched ng medical without going personally sa clinic?
    Sa case ko tinawagan ko lang muna yung clinic to check on available scheds nila for medical & kung saang clinic. And then deretso appointment na thru phone and then inimail sakin yung confirmation ng appointment.

    Pero dito po yan sa SG, most likely pareho din siguro kung sa Pinas. May phone number naman po yung list of clinics na accredited ng DIAC kung saan pwede magpa-medical, pede ka po magcheck kung alin preferred clinic mo & call them to verify. :)

    Btw, anong visa type ang inaaplyan mo?

    @abc27 if i may answer..
    kung hindi galing sa HR with official company letterhead ang mga COE at job desc mo, possible na hingian ka pa ng other proof of employment (those mentioned by @glaiza1210)..

    for me, since i have my ITR, pero not the bank statements, inupload ko na lang din, para walang question ang CO.. pero ung nga, those are just supporting documents in case hanapin ng CO..
    @lock_code2004 thanks for the inputs!
    just to clarify, main requirement is the assessment result. and if the CO requires additional proofs, most probably they will ask for COE, payslips, ITR, bank statements, tama po ba?

    @abc27 - aside from the assessment result at IELTS, basic requirement din lahat ng COEs na sinubmit mo as part of your assessment.. anything na magclaim ka ng points, kailangan may proof ka..

    additional proof lang ang payslip, ITR at bank statements, to claim your work experience.

    Hello mga kababayan, tanung ko lang po kasi na assess na ko ng ACS kaso di acknowledge ng acs yung company D kasi kulang sa supporting docs dahil d kmi nakakuha ng detailed coe. standard coe lng kc ang nasubmit namin.
    Company A- 2 years (IT Associate)
    Company B- 1 year (Programmer)
    Company C- 2 years and 7 months (Senior Software Engineer)
    Company D- 0 (Systems Analyst)

    Next month po kasi 8 years na ang total work experience ko sa IT.
    1.) Ano po ba dapat ko iclaim sa EOI? yung 5 years and 7 months na naassess ng ACS or yung 8years na kasama na yung present company ko?
    2.) kung 8 years po yung ideclare ko, hindi ko na kailangan magpa assess ulit sa ACS?

    gusto ko lang po manigurado kung ano dapat ko ideclare. thanks

    I would say 5yrs and 7months lang ang i-claim mo as this is what was given to you by ACS...

    Secondly, ilan points ka ba if you claim 15 pts sa work experience or 10 pts? Baka naman kahit na 10pts lang i-claim mo, at least 65pts na ang total mo hence you will get an automatic invitation on the next round after lodging your EOI.

    Goodluck!!

    Hey folks,

    I just wanna get your opinion about my chances of getting a skilled independent visa and getting a job in Oz. I'm an IT professional with 8-yrs experience in the field of embedded software, mobile, and computer networks. My wife is a CPA accountant with 6-yrs experience. I will appreciate to get some opinion from any of you here especially to those familiar or have undergone the new immigration process. Assuming we have taken the IELTS and passed at the minimum, I will get a score of 70 based on the new point system, and my occupation is nominated from the SOL.

    P.S. I've read a lot about hard times in getting a job in Oz for new residents from an immigration page in LinkedIn. Most of the members their are Indian nationals.

    @pepedocs- welcome to the forum..

    a) EOI 70 pts is a very high score.. current invitations have atleast 65pts in their EOI.. that means you will definitely be invited..

    b) if you apply for a state sponsorship (or if required by your occupation based on SOL/CSOL), then automatic visa invitation na agad yun, once approved by the state..

    c) Finding a work, related to your occupation is really dependent on many factors (your skills, location, if it is really in demand, industry, etc).. you and your wife are both skilled, so malaki ang change na makahanap ng work kahit isa sa inyo... especialy kung wla p kayong anak..

    others would work in different fields, and then after few months/years, pag may AU experience na, makakahanap na ng work na gusto mo talga..

    pwede din naman, after visa grant, isa lang muna ang pumunta sa AU, while the other is still working sa Pinas... pag settled na ang isa (with atleast a good paying job), then pwde na sumunod the rest of the family..

    read other threads here, there are inspiring stories.. goodluck!!

    Hi! i would like to ask nagapply kasi ako ng ACS then ito ang result..

    Your ICT skills have been assessed as unsuitable for migration under 263111(comp network & systems engineer) of the ANZSCO code.

    work experience
    Company A- 0 year (tech head)
    Company B- 2 year & 6 months (IT head)
    Company C- 3 years & 9 months (IT head)

    it means ba hindi talaga ako nakapasa for their assessment? or i should try another code? thanks!
