Hello po, I have a few concerns regarding the requirements of skills assessment sa ACS.
    1. My first employer already changed its name. Since I need to ask for an employment reference, ano po yung other documents that I need to submit sa ACS to prove na sila yung employer ko dati? Anybody with the same case po? Paano yung process?

    1. Regarding the payment evidence nman po. Yung same employer ko kasi na yun gave my salary in check for the first 5 months because I was hired as a temporary employee pero full time job sya (40hrs/week). Then na-absorb ako eventually. My question po is how am I going to provide the payment evidence given na hindi ako makakarequest ng Bank statement nung beginning of my employment. Would payslip and 2316 suffice?

    2. My previous employer was overseas and ibang language yung mga documents ko like COE, Payslip, etc. Any recommendation po on where and how long is the process of translation?

Thank you so much in advance!

    1. You can provide any official docs / correspondence about the company name change. I have same employment experience and in my case, it went fine and was assessed positively. I kept a letter from them. Your SSS employment history should also reflect this. Login and check yours.
    2. If it was paid in cheque i believe there's a voucher you can ask them to send kung di naman ganon na katagal, i have a 1 month salary before paid in cheque and I asked for the cheque voucher. It was also stated in my payslip that it was paid in cheque and with corresponding cheque number and ipapasign nila yun sa iyo di ba upon receipt?

Hi po, thank you for sharing these information. Regarding the cheque, it was already 10 years ago na po eh. I’ll check na lang with the company if it’s still available in their records. Really appreciate your response po :)

sa case ko, employer changed its name when it was acquired by another company. so on top of documents, i also provided links and screenshots re: news about acquisition.

imo, this is optional but if additional sources are available, why not chocnut! hahha

Don't worry. As mentioned in previous comments here, DHA is knowledgeable about the middle name usage in Australia and overseas. So long as you submit valid / legit documents, okay yan. Congratulations on your invite!

Will not having a license lower my chances of having a positive assessment?

I’m an Interior Design graduate working for 13 years already, however I am not licensed. I failed the board exams way back 2011 and never took it again.

For IDs, assessing body is Vetassess and I found out that they will require a license for assessment since the profession is PRC regulated. Now I don’t have plans to take the boards anymore because I have no plans to practice my profession here anymore if I’m planning to migrate. Also when I failed, it really took a toll on my mental health and I honestly can’t go through that again.

I do everything described in the Anzsco Code for Interior Designers but here in the PH, if you’re not licensed, you’re considered an Interior Decorator.

So are my chances of getting a positive result low given that I have no license? Will I not get a Bachelor’s Degree equivalent because of my lack of license?

Upon checking, interior decorators are qualified for employer sponsored schemes, unfortunately not with GSM:

Checking quickly this vetassess' matrix, do you think you're not even qualified to get at least an AQF diploma based on Group C #1?

Why the preference for Skilled Couples is rational?

FY Planning Level is the total planned migrant intake for the FY.

For example for coming FY2024-25, planning Level for Subclass 189 is 16,900 places.

An EOI can consist of multiple applicants: Primary, Secondary and Children. When a visa is granted, all applicants contained in the application get a grant, and each applicant consumes one planning level spot.

Why do Skilled Partners offer the best deal?

Take a family of 2 (primary + secondary)

    • Unskilled Partner: If secondary partner is unskilled, then you only get 1 skilled person for every 2 planning level places used (50% efficiency)

    • Single Applicant: If primary applicant is single, then in future he/she will marry. Looking at trends and patterns around us, we can assume that a typical single migrant to AU has a 50% probability of marrying a skilled partner. Therefore we get 1.5 skilled people for every 2 planning level spots used (75% efficiency)

    • AU Citizen/PR Partner: Whether the partner is skilled or unskilled, it doesnt matter since they are AU Citizen/PR Parnter. Therefore a grant in this case will always consume 1 planning spot (100% efficiency)

    • Skilled Partner: You get 2 skilled people for 2 planning levels consumed (100% efficiency). From a life time outcomes perspective (and my own research), skilled couples offers an even better deal than having an AU partner, even though both have 100% efficiency in planning level use.

Therefore, the ranking in terms of efficient use of planning level places is:

⚡️ Skilled Couples > AU Partner > Single > Unskilled Partner.
