    your employer should ask you to complete a Tax file declaration form.. ilalagay mo ang TFN mo dun at yun ang basis nila sa pagkuha ng tax s salary mo..

    meron din form for super, kung may nominated na super company ang company mo. nakalagay yun dun... but you will have an option to use other super company..

    western suburb ng melbourne ako. 7 months ako nghanap ng work, no luck. nung ika 2nd month, i decided to take an odd job na kse i am thinking even if its a successful appln, the hiring process takes 2 months ayoko n mghntay. luckily nman after a few days, got an odd job. :) then ngpahinga muna ko mag-send ng appln sa field ko, nkkfrustrate lang kase. tsaka na lang uli. i enjoy ko n lang muna ang odd job ko.

    Sis pwede ko bang malaman kung ano yung odd job na nakuha mo saka pano mo yan nakuha. Naghahanap din kaz kami ni hubby ng odd job, no luck pa din kaz sa line namin. Dito din kami sa western suburb malapit dito sa coles sa tarneit. Baka may opening pa sa pinapasukan mo. Thanks

    Just want to share also what I am doing now kahit suntok sa buwan -

    I upgraded my Linkedin account last Friday kasi meron sila 1 month FREE trial. So far, I was able to extend my reach to recruiters na hindi within 2nd degree connection ko and sent (5) mails directly to decision makers. I plan to cancel my free trial by the time I reach Melbourne next month pero open din ako to extend it up to 1-2 months more if ok naman responses.

    Within the past 3 days, I applied for over 30 positions related sa field ko na ang level is the same or up to two levels down (junior) my current role. My applications were a combination of Linkedin, Seek.com.au and direct application sa companies.

    Got a few replies naman from recruiters that they will reach back to me and even a recruiter from a big Aussie telecom referred me to register in their careers site. I specifically stated that I am applying from the Philippines but will arrive on Melbourne early next month in a PR Visa with an intent to stay indefinitely in Australia.

    Pero it's still too early but at least momentum is building up while I am still in the Philippines. It was suggested here in the forum that you can start to apply 2-3 weeks prior arrival to save time. Hindi kasi right away nag-iinterview mga companies as per reading feedback from people. I hope I can lineup some interviews by November 2nd week. But I plan to find odd jobs two weeks after my arrival para naman meron pangbayad sa bills. :)

    Sa misis ko naman, within 1 week from arrival, we will have her take a Certificate for Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) at Food Safety Handler Level 1. We figured that since both certificates will consume only one day each, we'd invest in them na lang before her job search will begin. Common kasi siya na requirements when applying on many hospitality jobs and more doors can open if meron ka niyan. And nakita naming fees ay $35 at $50 for each certificate, respectively.

    Since limited din naman yung baon namin, might as well increase the chances by planning ahead. :)

    Had found an odd job na, pwede na to kesa wala heheh... Pang local experience na din. Hay, i miz the Phils. Lalo kong minahal ang Pilipinas nung umalis ako. :)
    Sis pwede ko bang malaman kung ano yung odd job na nakuha mo saka pano mo yan nakuha. Naghahanap din kaz kami ni hubby ng odd job, no luck pa din kaz sa line namin. Dito din kami sa western suburb malapit dito sa coles sa tarneit. Baka may opening pa sa pinapasukan mo. Thanks

    @cgm .. tama ka suntok sa buwan ang ginagawa mo.. pero who knows.. malay mo matamaan mo ang buwan.. meron din naman mga PR na napansin, na hire or na schedule yung exam/interview even nag apply offshore.. ;)

    @liannepot hello re: odd job, I just started working as part time waitress last wk sa isang resto sa Melbourne CBD baka interested ka, may opening pa sila ngayon kasi aalis na ung iba dun kasi tapos na ung student visa nila. I'm from IT kaso wala pala pa job offer so I decided na mag odd job muna..bale inassign nila ako ng 3 shifts Thu-Sat dinner service 4;30 or 5pm start tapos ngend ng 11 or 11:30pm, wala akong experience sa food and beverage service and wala din akong certificate pero kinuha nila ako itry daw nila ako i-train, naisip ko sige itry ko din since naiinip na ko at extra money din naman..maybe I could refer you kung ok sa yo..pls feel free to send me a msg thanks!

    @wizardofOz hello di ko sure pero dun kasi sa min mas mababa ung rate pag bago ka palang regardless kung part time or full time, ung salary dun sa min fixed rate per shift plus tips pero sa iba per hour, sensya na un lang ang info na alam ko...

    Ginawa ko rin ito noong college ako, sumali sa mga FGD. May time noon na ang pera ko puro SM gift certificate lang hehe tapos pinapapalit ko sa nanay ko, sinasabi ko napanalunan ko sa raffle LOL

    Received an offer last Monday and after thinking about it for sooo long, I finally accepted the offer Thursday morning. It's a small company and I will be their first Filipino employee. It's a strata management company - kung meron ditong may experience sa facilities management you could look into taking a very short course (pwedeng online) that will allow you to work in this industry, and since the field is not saturated there are plenty of opportunities esp in Perth, Adelaide, Melby and Syd. Pero ako kasi eto na talaga trabaho ko for the past few years kaya dito pa rin ako.
