There’s no need for you to have your skills assessed via EA for migration purposes as you are not applying for a skilled visa. However, some states require that engineers are registered before they can work as engineers. There is a section on the EA website about this. Also check the state requirements to find out more about this.

If you already have a pending partner visa application, then you probably might not need to do a skill assessment since you're not migrating as a skilled engineer. If you are looking to be a member of EA without having to do any skill or competency assessment, you can only be an Affiliate member. If you want full membership status, you might have to do a Competency Assessment (which is different from a Migration Skills Assessment). If you are looking to work as an engineer in Australia, I do not know if companies will require you to have a Competency Assessment in order to be eligible to do engineering work, especially if your qualification is from the PH. You might have to ask companies you plan to apply for if they hire people with overseas qualifications without having to do any skill assessment.

I have just checked the EA website about the accords. The Washington, Sydney, and Dublin Accord only applies to you if you have completed an engineering qualification from the countries in the list under full signatories (Philippines is only a provisional signatory for the Washington Accord, so I doubt you could apply under that pathway). If you have not completed an accredited engineering degree in Australia, then the CDR pathway will be your way to go.

Isa sa mis conceptions ng Engineers going to Aus is macredit/ validate yung international experiennce natin. In reality purpose lang ng EA assessment is for visa application. Once you get here majority ng companies wont credit your offshore experience/ education. Importante dito yung "local" experience, tickets. May ilang masswerte na makabalik agad sa line of work pero in most cases you will have to adjust kung anong opportunity ang lumabas.

Nastress na si misis sa paglog ng net sa bahay (Philippines), paggawa ng CDR, pagcollect ng documents (Philippines & Singapore) all in a span of 2 weeks so I can't blame her. We emailed EA if we can still add for RSA pero walang response. Matinding prayer nalang na maconsider yung lahat ng work experience ko para di narin kailanganin ang RSA which is $480 instead of $380

Lumabas na po result nyo? Nangyari din po kasi sa amin yan. We did not tick the box that we want our experience to be included in the assessment. Hello po. I’ve been assessed na po by EA last year. Qualification lang po ang naassess sakin because I didn’t include my overseas experience sa assessment. Then, ipapaassess ko sya ngayon plus AU work experience, resubmit lang naman po ang kailangan ko para maassess ung work experience ko sa Pinas? Nung sinubmit ko kasi ung for CDR ko, complete na ung documents ko for RSEA. Pero di ko muna sya ininclude.

If you're here in Aus and have legal working rights, its not a requirement to have EA assessment/membership to apply and work for an engineering role. Most engineering positions for you to even get interviewed requires you to have related local tickets/ certificates and good references.

As mentioned in previous comments, it all depends Sa state where you’re at. Some states do require it some don’t so you’ll need to check the state, ano yung regulations nila. You’ll most likely find the accurate answer to your question here. All it takes is just further research via the right channels

Amen to this. Nung SV ako walang pumapansin saken. When my 491 visa was granted dun na ako nagkakainterview. I didn't work in my field sa PH, dito ko pa unang naranasan na mapunta somehow inline sa engg/IT.

No, you will have to make new career episodes again from scratch in line with the anzsco code you want. Heard some people do it here before.

Are you a temporary visa holder in Australia? The skill assessment is generally used for skilled migration purposes. EA's website has detailed information about skill assessment, so I suggest you start there as it is more updated. If you have particular questions about the process, use the Search function and search for specific threads or posts using keywords.

    https://engineersaustralia.org.au/For-Migrants/Migration-Skills-Assessment

Some of the companies naghhanap ng EA membership at ung iba nman ay hindi. Case to case depende sa company.

Stage 1 ang dapat mo ipaassess not MSA. Check mo s EA website. Sana makatulong 😀

Salamat po sa sagot.. actually last Aug 16 nailodge namin.. hindi namin alam na everytime inoopen namin ang EA account namin is automatic gumagawa ng application account ang EA.. yung nalodge na account is yung walang RSA.. basically CDR+fast track lang ang nasubmit.

Better wait for the result of your CDR then have your RSEA assessed. RSEA assessment will incur additional fee. Once you submit your documents they will get back to you within 1 to 2 days.

Hi po, wala pa yung results.. most probably 3rd week of September po lalabas yung result.. Mabilis kang po ba labas ng results nung RSA ninyo, or did you have to wait din for weeks?

Hi.

In my case CDR + RSEA yung kinuwa ko as support for my overseas experience since I was claiming for 15pts (8+ years experience). kung ikaw yung primary applicant and point based visa yung kinukuwa mo, better to have it kaysa balikan ka pa ng DHA to ask proof of valid work experience
    assessment.

Hello po! I don't know if may nagtanong na about this. I need advice lang po on my current situation. I was assessed na po last June 2018 (CDR + RSE) before and claimed 10pts sa previous EOI. Now, I would like to add my 3yrs of experience to claim 15pts (8yrs work experience) and request for another outcome letter since technically expired na sya for DHA. As advised by EA Member Services, I should apply for another skills assessment and upload the documents that I previously submitted. Should I upload an updated IELTS/PTE exam result given I will be requesting for another Relevant Skills Assessment for the additional 3yrs of experience as ChemEng? Eto po plan ko iupload for another RSE.
    1. Updated COE from my previous employer and current employer
    2. SSS contributions
    3. 2018-2020 ITR's

Enough na po ba ito? Baka lang may same case as my situation. Thank you in advance! God bless!

I submitted my MSA + RSEA on 20 July under Fast Track. 10 Aug the status changed from Queued for Assessment to Assessment in Progress. Hanggang ngayon wala pa rin update. Should I be worried? Sorry super anxious lang kasi at the moment. I want to have the result so I can apply for 189 or 190 asap. 😅

Hi @socialsheen , good day po, ask ko lang po, sa pagpapasa mo ba ng CDR sa EA, kumuha ba kayo ng checker na magchecheck ng plagiarism and technicality of the CDR and the grammar? before you submit to Engineer's Australia?

I used grammarly for grammar checking and plagiarismdetector(dot)net to check plagiarism.

Nice. No need to worry about plagiarism. Regarding the fast track, yeah medyo disappointed ako sa case ko pero majority dito maganda experience as fast track. I'm not sure if may problems ba sa application ko pero will wait until tomorrow then I will contact them directly.

Hi @socialsheen , kamusta? may result na ba yung sa iyong EA?

Yup. Meron na. Exactly one month bago ko nakuha yung results. Positive naman ang outcome and nacredit lahat ng work experience ko.

wow. Buti naman. Ayos po yan. Good luck po.

    Hi,

May i know the difference po ng Telecommunicatiors Engineer (263311) and Telecommunications Network Engineer (263312).

Hello, newbie here. I'm a licensed EE but never practiced my profession. Can I still get a positive assessment kay EA? I will not be claiming any points for experience. Graduated from UPLB in 2014. 189-75 points 190-80 points. Thank you po sa mga makakatulong.
