1-3 was very smooth and dependent on AUS immigration talaga.

4-7 is where MNAL came in handy. May part sa forms na di ko nadeclare because I didn't know that detail about my medical history (I only learned from my mom after I received the request for further info). Being able to consult with a certified Australian immigration lawyer about the next step for a sensitive part of the process (who actually lives and works there) is valuable to me. Mas kampante ako sa information and support na nakukuha ko.

If not for this issue, I would've probably gotten my grant already in June or this month based on data from ImmiTracker. In the meantime, I've had more meetings rin with their recruitment specialist and settlement specialist where we've been talking about my preferences for jobs and accommodations.

29/09/2023 Sputum Culture and Repeat X-Ray Result: Negative (Passed)

04/10/2023 Health Assessment: Submission by Panel Clinic Completed

09/10/2023 Health Assessment: "Health Clearance Provided"

11/10/2023 2nd S56 Request (Health Undertaking) - Submitted on the same day

We haven't heard from DHA since then. As of today it has been 414 days since Carmine lodged my application. I'm continuously monitoring it through my mirror account.

I applied for VIC with 65+5 points. Based on conversations with other graphic designer applicants, mukhang nadelay yung application ko kasi family of three kami tapos may dalawang S56 pa. Marami nang nag-lodge after me na nauna pa ma-grant.

yayy! sana nga. nakapag-lodge na ko last Feb 27. hehe proficient lang PTE ko tho pero 80+5 ang points ko. sana palarin din at makakuha na ng pre-invite bago matapos ang FY hehe

Update
I arrived in Melbourne at around midnight on 27th March so it’s been a week since the big move. Here are my thoughts on the settlement part of their services so far.

Airport transfer - No issues, nasundo ako ng third-party airport transfer without paying extra. Marami rin akong dala and they got a big enough van for my belongings.

Accommodation - They guided me throughout the selection and application process. They even instructed me to place their address as the most recent entry in my rental history. Since I lodged my visa application on 29/11/2022, they considered it as more than a year of “renting” with them since I completed all of the payment tranches on time. While I was in Manila, sila na yung nag-communicate directly with landlords and brokers. Sadly maraming rejections dahil sa timing ng availability so it took until the day I arrived in Melbourne until I was able to personally view and sign a lease agreement. Naka-move in na rin ako kahapon (nag-four day long weekend din kasi sila with two public holidays).

Employment - They’ve been guiding my wife with the nuances of preparing her resume while the agent is studying her profession (first time daw nila maka-encounter ng doctor, usually IT or engineers mga clients nila) and looking around for openings they can apply to, both through online job platforms and the agent’s network of recruiters. Will update again once may work na nahanap for her.
