    05/17/11 - ACS favorable result released for my husband's skills assessment nominated job-261311 Analyst Programmer.
    12/10/11 - Hubby IELTS first take at BC result L & R-5.5, W & S-6.0 OBS=6.0 retake!!!
    12/30/11- Hubby registered at 9.0 Niners.
    03/15/14 - Hubby's comeback at 9.0 Niners preparing for IELTS test. Second attempt for Australian visa.
    05/12/14 - Complete uploading of ACS skills assessment required documents and payment made thru direct deposit.
    05/12/14 - ACS assessment application received.
    07/02/14 - ACS skills assessment result suitable ANZCO code 262113 Systems Administrator as recommended by CO for hubby's job description rather than ANZCO 261311 Analyst Programmer the first ACS ANZCO result suitable released in 2011. I conclude ACS reclassifies ICT Occupations.
    - Work exp. 12yrs. less 6yrs deduction by ACS.
    - Educ. Qualification assessed as AQF Associate Degree major in computing for a 4yr. course BS. Computer Science in a section 2 school.

    Hindi po tataas student visa, ang sabi nga will decrease. Hehe
    Sa student visa lang yan. Katataas pa lang ng skilled migration visa fee ngayong 2011. I dn't think DIAC will increase fee until next year. Fingers crossed na lang ang hindi pa nakakapag lodge hehehe.
    parang yun din nga pakiramdam ko dyan, sa students lang sila magtataas...
    and this one naman..

    Interesting yung SkillSelect 2012 a...pataasan ng score hehe but the good thing is may mga visa classes na hindi required si SS

    Come to think of it, may mga applicants na pabor sa kanila ang immigration changes lalo na kung mataas ang points na nakukuha mo sa age, english etc :)

    @Bryann, ang basis nila is yung points mo. If it is above the required pass mark, then you will be invited. The higher the points you have, mas mabilis ka maiinvite. :)
    Although ang worried ako is yun sa 'by invitation only' process, kung anu un batayan nila dun.

    Pero per occupation category, hindi sila magpapadala ng invite sa mga 65'ers hanggang nabigyan na lahat ng mga mas mataas pa...so dun magiging advantage or disadvantage yun depende sa applicant :-S

    @Bryann, with the way things are progressing, parang lumalabas mas gusto ng immigration na mag 457 ang mga tao...kasi nga gusto nilang pumapasok sa bansa nila e yung mga sigurado nang may trabaho...exempted sa changes ang mga employer sponsored visas kasi

    YUP preferred ng DIAC ang 457 kaya nagdagdag sila ng working visas issued for 2011 - 2012.

    Basically, katlin, effective July this year, kung gusto mo magpasa ng visa application, kelangan mo magpasa muna ng EoI sa SkillSelect...ang hihingin nila is yung age, IELTS, educational background, work experience at nominated occupation (points tested)...pag pasa mo ng EoI...
    titingnan ng SkillSelect yung mga may pinaka mataas ang points at sila yung unang bibigyan ng go signal para magpasa ng visa application.

    It adds another step to the visa process pero at least very centralized siya at patas...Iniisip ko nga baka mawalan ng kliyente ang mga agents kasi pareho lang ang treatment ng lahat ng EoI hehe

    Sure po kaya dyan yun ranking? Lamang pala dito yun sobra dami na ng work experience, pero malaking bagay din yun maka 20points sa IELTS. Tama po ba? Pataasan talaga points, isama na din yun partner skills kung sakali.

    Pataasan talaga ng points or meron ng ranking so it doesn't mean na kahit naabot mo required points is magkaka-visa ka na agad. The first ones to be invited to apply are those with highest scores and after each round of invitations (which I'm not yet sure of the frequency or duration), DIAC will publish the lowest score of EOI invited for that round. And from there, you can determine if you have a potential to be invited in the next round.

    Yung system nila ngayon is katulad na din ng sa New Zealand. I think the difference is meron pa silang personal interview ng case officer. Hopefully, sa AU wala ng ganun.
