Kung hahabulin mo ang before July 20, 2012, start gathering all your documents now for ACS skills assessment, then once na naipasa mo na yun, mag-review ka for IELTS, and make sure bago lumabas ang skills assessment result, pasado ka na sa IELTS. Apply ka kaagad ng state sponsorship or if sufficient ang points mo, mag-lodge ka na kaagad ng visa 175. Siguradong bibilis ang visa processing ng 175 kasi magbabago na ang processing priority.

@jWalker, follow what sir tootzkie said with emphasis on the "rush" part hehe...May mga screening process kasi na matagal bago makuha ang results and then there's IELTS where you might be aiming for a certain score.

~4 months is still doable...schedule will be tight, but doable

@tootzkie-okey kaya na dumaan na lang ako sa agency o kaya pa naman na mag walk in na lang? Nga pala, based doon sa initial assesstment sa akin ng agency, pasok naman ako sa 176 base sa 65 points. Sa 65 points na yun, bale kelangan ko maka bond 7 (10 pts) and mag state sponsorship (adelaide yun sinasuggest nila) . Tanong ko lang po, kung makakuha ako ng bond 8(15 pts atah), meaning pasok na sa 65 points, di ko na ba kelangan ng state sponsorship? Ngayon ko lang naisip itanong, kaya ni post ko na rin po dito.

^ I checked the Adelaide website and to get a State Sponsorship from them, you need to get at least all 7 or above in IELTS so kailangan galingan niyo po

If you get all IELTS 8 or above, that will net you 20 points hence, yes, you do not need state sponsorship and you can apply for the 175 visa, which you can do on your own

May isa pa palang balakid. Sa July magpapalit na naman ang SOL, at kahit naglodge before July pero yung nominated profession ay nawala sa new SOL, magiging category 5 yung dapat na category 4 huhuhu

Systems Analyst pa naman yung ni lodge ko, eh I doubt na magka-CO ako before July. Kasama sya flagged occupations for removal. Though naflagged na siya dati pa pero hindi natanggal sa July 2011, sana hindi muna matanggal this year.

@KTP yes applicable pa din yung old process pero yung Priority ang mababago, yun nga lang taon ang bibilangin bago ma-approve yung visa unlike yung iba na less than a year lang. For example, yung mga naging priority 5 nung 2007-2008 ngayon pa lang sinisimulan yung processing sa kanila.

Iba po yung case nung mga hindi talaga nag apply before July 2012 kasi new process na sila so kailangan maka receive sila ng invitation from DIAC before lodging an application (parang sa New Zealand)

Systems Analyst pa naman yung ni lodge ko, eh I doubt na magka-CO ako before July. Kasama sya flagged occupations for removal. Though naflagged na siya dati pa pero hindi natanggal sa July 2011, sana hindi muna matanggal this year.

So malaki kaya ang chance na mawala ang Systems Analyst sa SOL on July 2012? As in lahat ng ICT ba naka-flagged na matanggal?... pede po pa-share ng link kung saang article nyo nabasa? thanks!

@Birhen_ng_Guadalupe, if you submit your application before July 1, it will be accepted even if the SOL changes after July...may transition period po silang sinusunod kaya hindi naman basta basta sila nagpapalit ng guidelines.

For flagged ICT occupations, it is so unlikely that this will be removed on July 1. If you notice dun sa list, yung mga flagged occupations na to is 2010 pa pero hindi naman tinangal nitong 2011.

2. If your occupation is removed in SOL even if you lodged before July 1, 2012, your application will be moved to a lower priority. That again is another speculation. DIAC says, if you lodged a visa application prior to 1 July 2012, it will be processed according to the "priority processing direction in effect at the time your visa application" is processed. Processing starts once you lodged your application.

Don't worry too much guys or confuse yourselves unnecessarily. Pero if you really want to make sure na hindi kayo maapektuhan whatever changes take place on July 1, 2012, better get moving as early as now.

Sa mga nagbabalak po magpasa ng application...more or less may 5 months pa kayo bago mag July...at ang matagal maproseso ay yung (1) Skills Assessment; (2) IELTS -kasi puwedeng kailanganin magretake; (3) State Sponsorship -if applicable....

Tantsahin niyo na lang po kung aabot kayo sa deadline...if not, baka mas mainam po kung hintayin yung magiging pagbabago sa immigration guidelines...mga May siguro lalabas na yan

Ako rin ang intindi ko, as long as makapag-lodge prior to Jul 2012, old process pa rin ang applicable...

Just to add po, while there are occupations that may be removed in the future, there are other occupations as well that will be open for immigrants after previously being removed from the list.

So it helps to read the respective state sites for updates.

You would really not now kung kelan mawawala yung occupation om sa SOL. Kaya dapat talaga na samantalahin yung application mo habang nadun pa siya sa SOL.

Yung nakalagay sa criteria na work experience overseas, meaning outside australia right? I have more than 8 years of working experience here in the Philippines so yung points ko dun should be 15, right?

@midago, it has to be 8 years work experience on the nominated occupation. Kunwari,nurse ang ninominate niyong occupation..8 years ang work experience pero 2 years lang kayo as nurse at 6 years as call center agent, yung 2 years lang ang maccredit sa inyo

I would like to share this from Diac facebook page.

The government announced as part of the Federal Budget on May 8 that Australia's migration program would increase by 5000 places from 185 000 to 190 000 places in 2012-13. The breakdown of places is as follows.

SKILL STREAM
• The skill stream has increased by 3400 places over 2011-12 to 129 250 places - a 2.7 per cent increase.
• It is comprised of:
o 47 250 employer-sponsored places (compared with 46 000 in 2011-12), of which up to 16 000 places are reserved for the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)
o 45 550 skilled independent places (compared with 44 350 in 2011-12)
o 24 650 skilled state and territory-sponsored places (compared with 24 000 in 2011-12)
o 4200 skilled Australian sponsored places (compared with 4100 in 2011-12)
o 200 places for the distinguished talent category (unchanged) and
o 7400 business skills places (compared to 7200 in 2011-12).

FAMILY STREAM
• The family stream has increased by 1585 places over 2011-12 (2.7 per cent) to 60 185 places.
• It is comprised of:
o 46 325 places in the partner category (compared with 45 400 in 2011-12)
o 3850 places in the child category (compared with 3450 in 2011-12)
o 1285 places in the other family category (compared with 1250 in 2011-12) and
o 8725 parent category places, of which:
▪ 6575 are for contributory parent migrants (compared to 6500 in 2011-12)
▪ 2150 are for non-contributory parent migrants (compared to 2 000 in 2011-12).
