    Reply to @goodspeed_1980: as far as i know.. hindi pwede mag switch from one visa application to another type.. unless you want to cancel ung previous application mo and start a new one.. sayang nmn ang oras at pera mo..

    although you can check with your agent if baka pwde ang isang option for your to have state sponsorship instead of family sponsorship.. i mean apply a new SS and then once approved, submit ung approved SS sa DIAC sa current application mo...

    just ask kung pwede.. ;)

    Hindi po pwede mag-change ng visa type once the application has been lodged. I asked this question sa DIAC already and that was the response I got.

    Thanks for your replies lock_code2004 and absolutelystumped. I guess the only option is to wait and pray. Though if my analysis is correct once the State Sponsored 176 were all done this May, we the Family Sponsored 176 come next.
