@almaabad30 Hi, read and do your research about Hobart and Tasmania. ok din na may idea ka. What is the anzsco code for retail buyer? Is that visa 489?

Tasmania has published the list of skills they are able to sponsor for someone living overseas w/o job offer. Here is the website go and have a look kung nandun ung skills mo sa list. Hobart is the capital city in Tasmania.

    https://www.migration.tas.gov.au

It has to match sa anzsco roles and responsibilities. Most assessing bodies are strict especially VETASSESS.

Another advice, be careful in engaging migration agents. I'm not generalising but there are dodgy agents everywhere and some are taking advantage of clients who does not have any understanding of the visa process.

I'm Australian in paper but pinoy in form....Living in the most liveable city in the world...Melbourne! Oi, oi, oi!!!

@almaabad30 hi! We have the same occupation. Im also a retail buyer. I have my skills assessment with vetassess. Retail buyer is part of the short term list. In ACT include this for the 489 visa but currently closed pa. In TAS the last time I checked you can only apply if with a job offer, but currently they have new update, you may check it. It is also available in SA via 489 with high points.

    PTE Writing Tips

For writing essay I used E2 language format and applying what I learned from Ielts. Sa intro, sa 1st sentence ni restate ko lang yung question using my own words. Then sa 2nd sentence if one sided lang yung question, I give summary of the reasons ( 2 reasons only). Example, if ang essay is about importance of computers (one sided), eto 2nd sentence ko. Computers are valuable resources as they (1st reason) aid in learning and are (2nd reason) used to communicate with others. Then sa 3rd sentence sasabihin ko para pampahaba-- In this essay, I shall discuss my point of view by giving points and examples about the topic.

Then sa 2nd paragraph, elaborate ko na ang 1St reason. Mga 2 sentences na magsupport sa 1st reason, like if yung 1st reason ko is aid in learning, expand ko ang topic by answering how computers aid in learning, etc. Usually yung reason mo convert mo by asking how, what, when, or who. Tapos sa 3rd sentence, I state examples. Pwede ka din mag add pa ng 4th sentence parang isummarize mo lang ang 2nd paragraph.

Sa 3rd paragraph discuss naman ang 3rd reason same sa ginawa sa 2nd par.

4Th paragraph 1st sentence conclusion, then 2nd sentence recommendation.

If 2 sided naman yung intro pwede mo gamitin yung nasa template like kina Heprex na samples. Then yung 2nd par yung kabilang side, then yung 3rd paragraph yung other side. Tapos same last paragraph.

If medyo nahihirapan ka sa mga ideas, research ka dito sa forum ng mga recent topics. Tapos based dun sa topic reasearch ka anong pwedeng maging points and reasons para may idea ka na ano ilalagay mo sa essay.

Ang key talaga sa writing is dapat marami ka ideas. If nahihirapan ka mag construct ng idea try to research as much as possible. Google mo yung mga common or recent topics on pte writing tapos may mga sample questions dun,, then research mo ano possible answers para sa actual exam may idea kana ano isasagot. Tapos dpat familiarize mo mga connectors (like moreover, therefore, for instance, etc) kasi mas mataas ang grade kapag medyo complex ang sentence na ginagamit mo kesa simple sentences lang.

For summarize written text strategy ko is to first get ano main topic. Then analyze what important points were given, may nangyari ba? If meron ano ang nangyari, kelan nangyari? ano at para kanino ang purpose? Usually kasi sa mga paragraphs naka detail lang pero yung point lang naman dun is parang dinedescribe lang yung main topic. If you can answer who/what, when, how and why about the topic pwede mo na pagdugtungin yung ideas mo thru connectors and form a sentence. If you will have multiple paragraphs, summarize mo muna per paragraph then summarize mo ulit lahat in one sentence

Another tip also in writing as much as possible do not repeat the same words. If you dont have much stored knowledge about synonyms okay lang. Practice and Research is the key. Kaya malaki ang help sa akin yung pag research sa mga common or recent topics kasi while practicing pwede akong mghanap ng synonyms then mas madali ko syang ma recall sa actual exam kasi nagawa ko na sya before. Tapos if meron kayong word na ma encounter na parang hirap kayo mag elaborate, google nyo din anong synonym or phrases na pwedeng same meaning ng word. Share ko yung nilista kong mga synonyms na possible na magagamit sa mga essay kasi minsan these are the topics commonly asked.

@almaabad30 @Au_Vic I agree with your comment of migration agents. A lot of unscrupulous ones lurking around which sickens me. A lot capitalise on the people's desperate dream for a better future. I'm a migrant myself many years back and I know how it's like. When dealing with agents, make sure you check their registration number. Check average agent fees on the MARA website to find out if you are being ripped off with agent's quote. Make sure you are provided the Code of Conduct when formally consulting with an agent as well as a consumer guide so in case you decide to engage an agent and you know how and where to complain if needs be.

On the other hand be mindful also of the information you get in this forum as a lot is based from personal experience only. Each case is very individual and not because it worked for someone it means it will work for everyone. You need proper discernment to be able to decipher what would really apply to your circumstance.

Websites and forums are good sources of information. However the most updated immigration legislations can only be found on the professional library which only migration agents have access to it. Agents from 2010 onwards had to do a post graduate course in Australian immigration law as part of their requirement for registration. Which obviously, there is a price to pay if you engage one. However, don't get caught up with the stereotype that they cost a fortune...most do to be honest. Even here in the UK where I'm based now, I'm sickened with those fees. However, there are still agents around who are fair with their fees. I'm a product of both do it yourself and hiring an agent to assist my application. I myself had an agent who charged A$1,000 which was already cheap back then.

@Pandabelle0405 Mahirap ngayon makakuha ng ITA dahil malaki na ang backlog dasal nalang talaga. Hindi rin sure if uulan ng ITA kasi kahati narin natin ang New Zealanders sa 189 sa 190 naman try mo but depende parin sa state if paano sila mag invite. Ako I have 70+5 Points for state sponsorship pero hindi pa nalabas ITA ko pre-invite lang ng NSW nakuha ko. Let us keep the faith that the next rounds will bring much more invites.

@nursekc Invitation to Apply. Magandang gawin is mag apply na agad ng visa 190 as early as possible kasi it is nearly impossible to get invited sa 189 without 70+ points. Even with 70 points the wait time is too long.
